A Beautiful Misunderstanding
Chapter 65 Busted

Chapter 65 Busted

"Our families have a history of conflict and opposed the relationship between the two of us. Otherwise,we would have been married." Leila truly believed that her relationship with Zac wasn't able to developfurther because of the dispute between the two families.

Mandy sneered, "If you truly loved each other, you could overcome any obstacle. I'm afraid to say but Ithink he simply didn't love you enough."

"Do you know who else has the freedom..." Leila stopped before she could finish her words when sherealized a secret almost slipped her mouth. Zac had made her promise never to expose his trueidentity. Besides, if they found out that he was actually from a rich and famous family, all the girls woulddo anything they could to take him away from her.

Essie watched them with a sympathetic look in her eyes. From Leila's statements, she concluded thatZac was disliked by her family because of his poor background. Therefore, they couldn't have a solidfoundation for their relationship. However, Zac was no longer poor nor unemployed. He deserved somerecognition at least for having been able to buy himself a house and having a rich aunt.

She sat there watching the two girls as these thoughts passed through her mind, when she saw Zacwalking towards them.

"Have a seat here, Zac!" Leila and Mandy both said, almost in complete synchrony.

Zac glanced at the two girls for a long while before he finally decided to sit beside Leila. He had doneso purposely to irritate Essie.

Leila sat there and couldn't help but have a triumphant smile plastered on her face.

Disappointed in Zac's decision, Mandy slowly lowered her eyes to the ground. The dark shadow wascast underneath her thick eyelashes, causing a somber atmosphere.

The expression on Mandy's face evoked Essie's sympathy as Zac was clearly in favor of Leila. Shewas surprised to feel the weight of her best friend's pain. If Essie was in Mandy's position, she wouldhave already left without hesitation. She was not the kind of person who had the courage to walkstraight into a wall and pursue a relationship that didn't belong to her. For this reason, when she wasunable to express her love for Hanson, she quickly decided to give up, move past the situation andsimply forget about him. All that time, she had never expected that he would love her back. He evendeliberately got into an accident and broke his leg to escape from his marriage.

Perhaps love also likes to play the game of hide and seek. The more you desire for this love, the morelikely it will hide so you can't get it. The moment you have lost all hope, it suddenly appears out ofnowhere, leaving you with no time to digest it.

However, Mandy was truly and surely in love, and even if it seemed as though she was being draggeddown, she was still able to replace the courage in her heart. She quickly recovered from thedisappointment and called the waiter. "Zac, this place is popular for their amazing cappuccino. Wouldyou like to try it?" she asked.

"Zac only drinks black coffee," Leila quickly interrupted with a gloating smirk. She knew instantly howZac liked to drink his coffee because she had known him the longest amongst everyone else in thetable.

Zac simply nodded with plain face. Once again, the same smug expression beamed from Leila and shesaid to the waiter, "A cup of black coffee with a 92℃ temperature when served. Not any higher orlower."

Defeated once again, Mandy felt like she was close to going off to the deep end. She dubiously kickedEssie's leg under the table. She hinted for some help from Essie, who had been silent and motionlessfor quite some time.

It was now Essie's turn to release her guts and fire. She took the cup of coffee in front of her and held itin front of Zac. "Mandy is right, you know. This cappuccino is the best I've ever tried. It is definitelybetter than any typical commercial kind. How about giving it a try?"

Leila gasped and thought to herself, 'Is this woman insane? How could she give Zac a cup of coffeethat she had already drunk from? Doesn't she know that he is squeamish?'

"Miss Essie, I don't think that's very polite." She gently reminded her. However, in Essie's perspective, that reminder was particularly demeaning. Leila always made it a point to show her nobility andsuperiority as she came from a rich and powerful family. She would look down on the two girls with somuch arrogance, as if they were just bugs to be stepped on. However, she seemed to have forgottenthat Zac was just as ordinary as they were.

"Miss Leila, I am not doing anything offensive nor rude." She kept her voice calm and steady.

"You've drunk from that cup of coffee already. It still has your saliva and lip stain on the rim. How couldyou ask someone else to drink from it?" Leila had said this in a very passive tone, but the criticism andblame were not something she even tried to hide.

Essie sneered again. Since Zac had already eaten from her mouth in the past, drinking from her cup ofcoffee wasn't unusual whatsoever.

"Miss Leila, don't you know there's cat shit in your cup? But you seem to enjoy it verymuch."
