Broken Tower Saga: The First Swordsman
Chapter 27: The Trial Salesman (1)

WRIK RELAXED. "We'll think about it when the time comes. For now, let's stick to our previous plan."

"It seems the time has come," a high-pitched voice came from behind them.

Wrik's expression became tensed, looked around with the others to notice a person coming in their direction. He had a cheeky smile on his countenance and looked rather fragile than what his voice imposed. Only about five and a half feet tall, with a thin body. But the most important thing to note was the shiny bald head, reflecting sunlight a little. He wore a rather comical long robe with weird stripes of green and yellow. Apart from that, he had about half a dozen pouches on his body—the smallest one was as small as a wallet, while larger ones took the entire space in his back.

"Or not," the man continued with that high-pitched voice. He was weird, especially with that tone and insignificant body. He checked something in front and said. "It should be soon."

A frown appeared on the brows of Wrik. He looked towards others for assistance, but they were similarly clueless as him. He asked, "Who are you?"

"You guys seemed to have quite a fun time here," the weird man didn't answer. He looked around the corpses of the goblin and nodded a couple of times. Then he looked at Wrik to answer. "I'll answer your question after you settle your account, don't worry."

Wrik didn't know what he's talking about; is there something left to achieve? And soon a blue window appeared in front of him to answer his question. Not just him, it came to everyone else as well.

[Congratulations, everyone on surviving the Phase-I of the Trial.]

[Phase-I of the Trial of the Maha Tower is complete.]

[User Wrik Everknight can choose to take part in the next phase or abandon it. Users will get a day to choose.]

[1000 Omega credits are awarded to User Wrik Everknight for surviving Phase-I.]

[Additional 670 credits are awarded to the user for cleansing 74 goblins and 15 elite goblins.]

[A total of 10000 credits were awarded to all who took part in the event of destroying the goblin clan.

1700 credits were awarded to the user for his contributions in the event.]

Wrik took a breath in. So, that's what the short man was talking about. He felt relieved that phase-I was done. Then he looked at the numbers of credits he was awarded. Again, he didn't know how much this was worth, as he didn't have any personal experience in it. He opened his status window to check how much he progressed this week.

Still no class, there was no prompt for it as well. As he had thought, it's harder than he had thought. His attributes increased by a fair margin. No surprise there. So, he dismissed the window, noting that he had a total of 8370 credits.

"I reckon, everyone's finished checking their rewards?" The short, bald man opened his mouth again. This time it's quieter, though still gruff. Everyone turned their gazes upon him, hearing his question. He continued. "Now, let me introduce myself first. I'm someone you call a salesman. A Travelling salesman who travels from floor to floor to sell his stuff."

"So you're here to. . ." Davin opened his mouth, but the short man who introduced himself as a salesman completed his sentence.

"Precisely. I'm here to sell my stuff to you guys."

"Is this even feasible?" Anton doubted. It's not like they would believe anyone who said anything.

The bald man grinned, tapped a few times in the air. And then a notification appeared in front of everyone.

[Omega sales associate: Ryat Higgs.

"This should be enough for confirmation; besides, you should know, not anyone can enter here during the trials," the salesman continued. "Quickly, tell me what you need. I got to sell to other guys as well."

"Isn't it obvious?" Tanya came forward from behind after confirming the weird bald's background. "We want growth-stimulating serum."

The salesman's eyes shone upon seeing Tanya. "My lady, you know your stuff," Ryat grinned. "Do you know the standard for it?"

Tanya nodded. But the others appeared confused, including Wrik. He didn't know what Tanya wanted to buy, much less the standard for it.

"It appears not everyone in your group as informed as you," Ryat said out loud in his high-pitched voice. He opened a couple of vials of thin air containing blue liquid and held it in front of everyone before continuing. "Then let me introduce it: this is your growth stimulating serum known as 'Growth Steraam'. One person can only buy 10 at the price set by the Tower, that is 100 credits for one vial. And then if you want to buy more, you have to spend the actual price. Am I clear?"

100 credits seemed cheap enough for Wrik. But he didn't know the product itself, much less the actual price of it. He had some suspicions about the name, so he asked. "So what is this 'Steraam' do?"

"As the name suggests. It's a serum that would help in your growth. Not only the physical stats but the mental stats as well."

"Are there any side effects?" He asked again. This question was as important as the previous one. It should be something important, if not the Tower wouldn't place a statute in it.

"That's the main reason for its over popularity," Ryat smirked. "It is with no type of side effects. . ."

"It's with no side-effects if you use it appropriately according to its usage." Tanya corrected the sales associate's pitch and cleared their doubts in the matter. "So what's the price after buying my share?"

"Well, it depends on where you buy it." Ryat looked at the fair lady in the front. "Here I'm selling the minor ones and their price varies from a thousand to ten thousand. I usually sell it for two or three thousand credits.

"But for such a beautiful lady yourself, I'll sell it for a thousand each." The bald salesman seized the opportunity in front, his bald head shined even brighter. It's not every day you come across pretty ladies.

"Thank you for your offer, but I've to decline," Tanya declined. "Just give me my share of it."
