Does anyone actually Believes That My Master Is A Mortal?
Chapter 43 Speaking of Complexity!

Beside Mirror Lake.

Inside the blacksmith shop.

Daoist Impermanence had become completely petrified.

Ten taels of silver per jin...

To take away everything all packaged...

This, this, this.

These are all genuine divine weapons!

You must know that the magical treasures of cultivators are categorized.

The lowest level is Mortal Treasure, followed by Magical Treasure.

Magical Treasures are divided into lower, middle, and upper grades.

Above that is the Spiritual Treasure.

Spiritual Treasures are extremely precious.

Even a big Sect might not have one or two Spiritual Treasures, and if they do, they are the Sect's Guardian Treasure level.

In Daoist Impermanence's box, every weapon was a Spiritual Treasure.

And they were all high-grade Spiritual Treasures; releasing any one of them would cause countless powerful beings to fight desperately over it.

But right now...

To take everything away all packaged?

And at ten taels of silver per jin???

To buy Spiritual Treasures at the price of ten taels of silver per jin??

Daoist Impermanence felt his worldview was collapsing.

Where in the world could you buy Spiritual Treasures so easily?

Ten taels per jin...

"This, this, Senior, this..."

Daoist Impermanence wanted to refuse, yet he didn't know how to begin.

"What? You're not satisfied with the price of ten taels per jin?"

Chu Yuan immediately became less polite.

This guy had just tried to rob him of his money.

Now, he was being generous just by paying for the items.

And this guy dares to complain about the low price.

Truly insatiable greed!

Daoist Impermanence, standing on the side, upon hearing these words, dared not say another word and took a deep breath.

"Senior, if you wish to take these items away, that's also possible."

"I have a question, and if Senior can answer it for me, I will offer up these items without asking for a single penny from you!"

Daoist Impermanence spoke with serious intonation.

He could tell that the being before him was determined to have these items.

And acted as though he did not know they were Spiritual Treasures, wanting to buy them.

According to Daoist Impermanence's own estimation, he stood no chance against this individual.

So he might as well ask the question that troubled his own cultivation.

Chu Yuan, who was assessing the weapons, was taken aback for a moment.

He doesn't want his money, yet he wants to ask him a question?

It couldn't be about cultivation, could it?

He wouldn't have an answer for that.

His knowledge of cultivation was zero.

"You may ask."

Chu Yuan replied stiffly, bracing himself.

He would try to see if he could come up with an answer.

What if he actually could?

"Senior, what is Dao?"

Daoist Impermanence bowed slightly and asked.

Is this it?

This is the question?

Chu Yuan inwardly sighed in relief.

He was worried it was going to be some difficult question.

Turns out that was the question.

He knew this one well.

"The so-called Dao, um, if I explained it in detail, you wouldn't understand..."

Chu Yuan put on an air of nonchalance, about to begin his usual bluffs.

Yet before he could finish speaking,

Daoist Impermanence interrupted him.

"Senior! Please explain the complex part! I can understand it!!"

Daoist Impermanence wore an expression of utmost seriousness.

Chu Yuan: "????"

You are not making sense.

How could I possibly understand all this complexity?

If I did understand, would I still be at the Golden Core Realm after three months of only gathering a thread of mana?

But seeing the earnest old face of Daoist Impermanence, Chu Yuan didn't know what to say.

He could only silently turn around, with his back facing the other.

"The so-called Dao, I can explain it to you with these words, 'Humans follow the earth, the earth follows heaven, heaven follows the Dao, and the Dao follows nature! The Dao is originally nothing, from nothing comes one, one produces two, two produces three, and three produces everything!'"

"The Dao that can be trodden is not the enduring and unchanging Dao. The name that can be named is not the enduring and unchanging name..."

Chu Yuan recited and as he did, he reached the Tao Te Ching and realized he had forgotten the rest, leaving him awkwardly embarrassed on the spot.

"Alright, that's enough. If you don't understand, then there's nothing I can do. We'll just have to do this the usual way, ten taels of silver per catty!"

Chu Yuan waved his hand, unable to bluff any more.

It could clearly be bought with money.

Why waste so much energy trying to bluff.

It's simply inhuman.

On the other side, hearing these words, Daoist Impermanence's brows furrowed, exhibiting a look of comprehension and confusion.

He didn't understand the first part.

But the second part gave him a feeling that his bottleneck was loosening, yet he was somewhat perplexed and unable to truly break through.

"Senior, take these weapons, no charge."

Daoist Impermanence gritted his teeth.

At this point, he had no other option but to offer these Spiritual Treasures to this individual.

Handing over these Spiritual Treasures, perhaps the individual would remember this favor, right?

But he didn't count himself as too unlucky, having received such insightful words.

Going back to ponder them carefully might even enable him to advance further in his cultivation.

"No charge? Then I'll just take them. Oh, do you have any other decent weapons here?"

Chu Yuan closed the chest and scanned the room.

After picking a pile of 'scrap metal' to fill his palace,

Next, he was looking for a weapon for himself.

"Senior, you want more weapons??"

The corner of Daoist Impermanence's mouth twitched severely.

The best weapons were already taken.

What more could he possibly have here?

"No need for you to look, I'll check by myself."

Chu Yuan approached the inner room, glanced inside, and his eyes immediately lit up.

By the doorway of the inner room, there stood a longsword.

The sword was three feet long with a crimson blade, on which a blood-colored dragon was etched, shimmering with a bewitching red glow. It looked magnificent as if ready to slash all things asunder.

What a fine sword!

Chu Yuan immediately picked up the Crimson Longsword, touched it gently, and admired the excellent blade.

"How much for this sword? Nevermind, I'll just give you the silver and silk outside. That settles it. I'm off, and may we meet again if fate wills it."

Having said that,

Chu Yuan grabbed the Crimson Longsword, hoisted the chest with the 'scrap metal,' rode the Magic Cloud, and left.

All this happened in the blink of an eye,

Leaving Daoist Impermanence completely baffled.

By the time Daoist Impermanence regained his senses, Chu Yuan had long since departed.

"This… Why would the senior take the sword I used for lighting?"

Daoist Impermanence felt puzzled.

That Crimson Longsword was just for illumination, at best a weapon of the Qi Refinement Stage, not even a Mortal Treasure.

Maybe it would shine brighter if mana was poured into it.

But it was practically useless…

It was even too dull to kill a chicken.

"A senior truly is a senior, his actions completely elude me. Compared to him, I don't quite fit the image of a reclusive individual anymore."

Daoist Impermanence shook his head and glanced at the silver and silk outside,

Then looked back at his own humble dwelling.

A true recluse,

Hides within the grand world, concealing oneself with ordinary things, doing ordinary deeds, using ordinary items, that is the way of reclusion.

He has not yet fully grasped this realm.

Daoist Impermanence sighed to himself...

...
