Chapter 668 668:- First Meeting [II]; Weapons Testing

"I must say I am impressed. But since you have come here with this map, surely you also must have brought something that will impress me." Aditya asked Felix with a smile.

"You're right, Your Majesty."

'From His Majesty's words, it is clear that he has understood what I am aiming for.' Felix thought.

"Your Majesty, this place might be a little bit small. Why don't you go somewhere outside where we could test out my weapons?" Felix suggested.

"Sure, let's then."

"Come with me." Aditya leads Felix to the teleportation array. It was only Aditya and Felix. Once Aditya felt that Felix's weapons were worth purchasing then he was going to make a deal with Felix. In this whole process, he wasn't going to involve anyone.

Normally Kings would discuss such important matters with their advisors and Prime Ministers but for Aditya, it wasn't necessary. Aditya trusted in his vision and his judgment. He didn't need anyone to advise him on what to do. This is the reason why Aditya did not have any advisors. There was simply no need to have any advisors.

Scene change_____

Aditya brought Felix to an abandoned island in the Western Region. The Western region had a ton of islands. It was a region that was made up of thousands upon thousands of Islands.

There were thousands of Islands that were abandoned.

This Island happens to be one of those Islands.

Aditya had specifically built teleportation arrays in a few of these islands. He made these special teleporting spots to go to the empty islands because he wanted to visit these abandoned places and try out his weapons.

This whole island was totally abandoned. Due to a recent volcanic eruption, everything on this island has been completely wiped out. There weren't any trees, or magic animals, left on this island. Not even a single blade of grass could be seen growing on this island.

"Where are we?" Felix curiously asked.

"We are somewhere in the Western region," Aditya said as he walked forward.

Right now, they were on the beach of this island. In front of them, there were multiple small mountains.

Around this island, there were also other such abandoned small islands.

"Let's begin." Felix nodded his head.

Neither of them wanted to waste any time.

Felix pulled out a huge item, 5 meters long, from his storage ring.

"This is the Thunderclap Mortar," he introduced its name to Aditya.

Aditya took a moment to look at it. On the basis of appearance, this cannon would receive a rating of 10.

The Thunderclap Mortar looked like a mighty weapon.

"It's not the fastest or the most precise, but when it hits, it's like the wrath of the skies themselves," Felix said with a proud smile.

The Thunderclap Mortar was a bulky cannon. Its barrel was thick and imposing as if it was designed to make anyone scared at first look. It's on a strong base, so it can handle the huge force it lets out.

"When it's fired, this big weapon doesn't just shoot; it makes a huge lightning bolt come from inside."

"Anything close to it gets hit by electric fury, taking a lot of damage and replaceing it hard to move for a while."

"Though using this massive weapon isn't cheap. Each shot cost around 1500 royal gold coins."

The Thunderclap Mortar was designed to look like a storm's wild beauty, with zigzag lines and dark, stormy colors that seem to buzz with energy waiting to come out.

Felix went on to explain more about this mortar. "The Thunderclap Mortar has extreme power!"

"Its firing speed is slow, and its accuracy is low, but it has some special features. It generates a massive thunderbolt that electrifies a large area. This causes massive damage and temporarily paralyzes foes. But, each shot costs 1500 RGC."

This meant each shot would cost the Istarin Empire 1500 Royal gold coins (RGC) which was 150,000 gold coins.

Felix then looked at Aditya since Aditya hadn't spoken yet. He hoped to see some kind of expression on Aditya's face but his face was totally neutral. Felix understood that although Aditya was interested that did not mean that he was impressed.

"When this mortar is fired, each shot has the capacity to seriously injure a Beginner 5th-order cultivator." Hearing this Aditya was disappointed.

'The Solar Cannons that we have are 10000 times less expensive and each shot is confirmed to kill any Beginner 5th-order.' This means that Each shot of the solar cannons only cost the Empire 15 gold coins.

But Aditya did not show his disappointment.

'But the Solar Cannon is more concentrated on a single enemy while this cannon is more concentrated on taking out hundreds of enemy soldiers at the same time.' Aditya thought in his mind.

But after thinking for a while, Aditya felt that given the cost, it wasn't worth it.

"Do you have anything else?" Aditya asked.

Felix instantly understood that Aditya wasn't impressed. If he was interested, then he wouldn't have asked him to show his other weapons.

The Emperor did not even ask Felix to test out this Thunderclap Mortar.

"I have the Frostwreath Howitzer."

"The Frostwreath Howitzer launches icy projectiles that freeze everything within a small radius. It has the ability to take out hundreds of enemies with just one shot. Each shot cost around 1000 Royal gold coins."

"Next..." Aditya wasn't interested. If it was any other Empire then they might have been interested in this cannon but having the Solar Cannons, Aditya had very high expectations. This is the reason why Felix hasn't been able to impress Aditya so far.

Felix also understood that being the Emperor of the largest Empire on the six continents, the Emperor had very high standards. And it wouldn't be easy to impress him.

"This is one of the newest items that my company has built."

Aditya instantly became interested in seeing what Felix had taken out from his storage ring.

"What is it called?" Aditya asked while staring at it.

"It is called Arrowstorm Harbinger."

"It can shoot up to 100 arrows at once."

The Arrowstorm Harbinger was tall and it stretched nearly as high as two men. Its frame was built from the strongest wood which was dark and was polished, with metal bands wrapped around for extra strength. This colossal bow had a complex system of gears and pulleys, making it look more like a beast of war than a simple weapon.

At its heart was a large, drum-like magazine capable of holding over a hundred arrows which was ready to be fired in a single and breathtaking volley. These arrows were not ordinary arrows. Each arrow has been made from special materials. Each arrow had the power to easily end the life of a Peak 2nd-order or Beginner 3rd-order.

Despite its intimidating size, the Arrowstorm Harbinger was surprisingly movable. It weighed enough that it took four strong people to lift it or one strong cultivator could easily lift it, yet it was designed to be carried into battle on wheels, which could be quickly removed once it reached its firing position.

"When unleashed, the Harbinger would send a storm of arrows soaring into the sky, blotting out the sun and descending like rain upon the enemy. It's the perfect weapon to take out a maximum number of troops."

"The power of the Arrowstorm Harbinger could be increased or decreased depending on the quality of the arrows used. For example, if Elderwood Heartseeker's arrows are used, then it would have the power to even kill hundreds of Peak 4th-

order cultivators. Even seriously injuring Beginner 5th-order cultivators might be very possible; I am not 100% sure of this since I have never actually used this method. Since each Elderwood Heartseeker arrow cost 10,000 royal gold coins."

Testing the power of the Arrowstorm Harbinger Elderwood Heartseekers arrows would mean using 1,000,000 royal gold coins which is 100,000,000 gold coins. Even for someone like Felix, this was just too much.

It wasn't that he did not have this much money. It's just that it was simply too wasteful. Elderwood Heartseeker's arrows were extremely rare. Using 100 of these arrows for an experiment is too wasteful.

"Since Elderwood Heartseekers arrows are crafted from the heartwood of the ancient Elder trees, and bound with veins of pure silver, their powers cannot be questioned. These also arrows have homing capabilities; they adjust their flight path toward the heart of the target. The main strength of these arrows is the magical affinity for locating and striking vital points while bypassing non-magical armor."

The reason Felix was saying these all is because he knew that the Empire had the huge wealth to use Elderwood Heartseeker arrows in a war.

Aditya was engaged to the Goddess of Wealth. Wealth would be the last thing that the Istarin Empire would lack.

"I like this...!!" Aditya said with a smile.

Seeing his, Felix finally felt a little bit relieved. He was starting to become a little bit worried seeing Aditya not showing any look of being impressed. He didn't even ask Felix for a test demo.

"But instead of firing 100 arrows at once, is it possible for this thing to fire 1,000 arrows at once?" Aditya asked. Aditya wanted the Arrowstorm Harbinger to be a little bit more powerful and bold.

"Actually, my subordinates have tried to increase the number of arrows that could be fired at once to 1,000. In the end, we came to the conclusion that although it is possible to fire 1,000 arrows at once but while doing so, the arrows lose 60 to 70% of their power. The arrow loses its speed as well as its powers. 200 seems to be the maximum number of arrows that the Arrowstorm Harbinger could shoot at once."

Hearing this Aditya nodded his head.

Although he did not say it out loud but he had another idea in his mind. 'Maybe with Percy's help, we will be able to modify and build a second-generation Arrowstorm Harbinger that is capable of shooting 1,000 arrows without losing its power and speed.' Aditya thought about this possibility in his mind.

Looking at Aditya's face, Felix knew that he had managed to impress the Emperor. But he wasn't done yet. There were many other things that he had brought with him.

"Alright, do you have anything else?" Hearing this Felix smiled.

"Your Majesty, I present you with the Etherwind Slinger."

"The Etherwind Slinger is capable of unleashing a continuous stream of wind blades. Each shot costs around 20 royal gold and each shot is powered by bottled etherwind and featherweight runes."

"Let's test it out." Aditya wanted to see its capability.
