Falling For My Cruel Mate -
Chapter 27
"Let go of me." I tried to pull away from him but he didn't put up much of a fight causing me to stumble backwards and fall on my ass. Bastard.
"I'm going to make you mine." He smirked evilly. "It should've been this way all along." What? All along? What does that even mean?
I scrambled backwards as he tried to climb onto me. No. This was not going to happen. Not again. I tried to escape by crawling underneath the bed, but he grasped onto my ankle pulling me back. I screamed as loud as I could while clawing at the ground, trying to get a grip.
I managed to kick him in the chin and crawl back underneath the bed and stand up on the other side. I made a run for the door, but a yank on my bun pulled me back.
"You stupid ungrateful slut." He spat out as he pushed me back towards the bed. I could feel the panic begin to settle in has he walked over to me the same way a lion would as it snuck up on the poor baby gazelle. I was tired of being a gazelle. I'm a wolf and I'm tired of bigger men overpowering me.
He lunged for me but I quickly ducked, landing on the floor once more. I tripped as I tried to stand and run for the door once more before I was tackled to the ground.
I let out a blood curdling scream as I hit my head on the hardwood floors. He flipped me over and pinned my hands to the ground.
I couldn't help the tears that spilled over as he grabbed a hold of my face and shoved something into my mouth. I began to choke on it before it managed to make its way down my throat. A pill. I tried to fight back as his lips began their assault on my neck. "Your stupid mate was foolish to reject my alliance." I kicked and squirmed underneath him trying my best to get him off of me. "He's also a fool for not completely mating with you, your scents aren't fully intertwined." He dug his nose into the crook of my neck, taking a big whiff.
"Please don't do this." I cried out. I lifted my knee up roughly and managed hit him in the back causing him to loose his balance allowing me too break free of his hold and punch him straight in the face. And
yet he seemed completely unbothered by attempts.
I could feel body begin to grow weak and my eyes become heavy. He simply chuckled has he began to unbuckle his belt and unbutton his pants. His hands reached for my shirt and I mustered up any strength in me to let out one last scream and kick. The drug was taking a hold of my mind and body and I could barely see through the tears pooling in my eyes.
In this moment I wanted nothing more than to be in some stupid argument with Ajax. I'd rather have his cold hard glare and threats than be in this position. Completely helpless. I could see Brandon's lips moving and forming words but nothing was registering in my brain. I could feel his hands at my waist as the room began to spin.
"Ajax!" I cried out attempting to push this disgusting man away from me. I wouldn't go down without a fight, no matter what state of mind I was in.
My vision began to blur further and my head seemed extremely heavy. There was a large banging and cracking noise before a horrific growl practically shook the room. I couldn't fight the drug much longer and body gave out, slipping away into the abyss of darkness.
Octavia:
The trees around me towered over me like skyscrapers as I dashed around them, running for my life. The cold crisp air nipped at my fur but it didn't phase me. My fur was thick and warm. My paws practically melted the snow underneath them. I pushed my self to run faster. I felt a heavy pressure on me. I was scared.
"Run, Octavia." A deep voice growled out.
A small whimper slipped out of my snout as I pushed even harder and faster. This was as fast as I could go. I didn't know what I was running for. Or better yet, who I was running from.
"Octavia." He said once more. And like a flash of light he appeared in front of me. His dark greying hair was slicked back and his forest green eyes were focused on me. Dad?
I quickly halted to a stop so that I wouldn't run into him. I wanted to speak to him but I couldn't. All that came out was small whimpers and barks. I tried to shift but something was keeping me like this.
There was a long howl, not far from us. More wolves were on their way and I felt the overwhelming fear that was pushing me to run rise again. But I couldn't leave my father here alone. I desperately wanted to hug him and tell him how much I love him.
"He's come for you Octavia." Was the last thing he said before a large grayish black wolf jumped over him casting him in a shadow and away from my sight. Just as he was about to land on me I let out an ear piercing scream and closed my eyes tightly.
"Octavia."
"Octavia, it's okay. I'm here, calm down." His hands rubbed up and down my arms smoothly, sending a soft current across my skin. My head was resting on his chest, moving with the rise and fall of his breaths. His heart beat was strong and steady, it was so soothing I almost fell back into the darkness I came out from. "It was just a dream."
I lift my head off of his chest, but he sat up with me. A concerned look painted his face as his eyes scanned over me quickly. My throat felt drier than a desert, it's practically going to catch fire. I swallowed roughly hoping maybe some saliva might help but my mouth was quite dry as well.
Ajax leaned over and handed me a tall glass of water and I gladly excepted it. I drank the whole thing in two gulps, a few drops of water spilling over my lips. I barely even noticed until Ajax wiped his thumb across my chin.
