Chapter 63 Are You Accusing Me of Sleeping With Lu Jinye?!

Lu Jinye threw his gaze at them and sensed a dash of resentment.

It seemed like he was overly anxious. There was no need for his concern for her crash, because… Shedid not lack men.

Despite having divorced and understanding that there was no love in their marriage, Lu Jinye could notignore the dejection currently building up within him.

He pivoted around and returned to his car.

But before he managed to step into his car, he felt his shin being hugged by a small figure.

Lowering his head, he found a little girl’s watery eyes staring back at him, “Mister, long time no see, Imiss you.”

The eyes belonged to Mu Xiaomu.

Lu Jinye’s scrunched brows evened out instantly.

Mu Xiaomu came with Jian Xiaoning to visit Mu Zhi. When they arrived at the scene, Mu Xiaomu saidshe was thirsty, so Jian Xiaoning returned to the car to retrieve her water bottle. In the end! Withinseconds! Mu Xiaomu had gone missing.

When Jian Xiaoning found Mu Xiaomu, the little girl was hugging Lu Jinye’s leg!

She almost slumped to the ground at the sight. Out of instincts, she made a dash to Mu Xiaomu andscooped her off the ground.

“What are you doing? How many times has mom told you not to pester strange men?”

Jian Xiaoning gave Lu Jinye an awkward smile, “Sorry, the girl seems to be attracted to handsomemen, she’s rather infatuated.”

However, Mu Xiaomu had never once pestered other handsome men. Lu Jinye was the first.

Lu Jinye glanced at Jian Xiaoning nonchalantly, nodded, and got into his car.

Mu Xiaomu thought about chasing after him, but she was clutched in Jian Xiaoning’s embrace.

All she could do was gazing at Lu Jinye’s taillights disappearing into the traffic, holding her resentfulurge to cry.

Meanwhile, Jian Xiaoning had to switch Mu Xiaomu’s attention, “Didn’t you say you want water? Here,take a sip and we will go look for mommy.”

Jian Xiaoning felt helpless too. It was simply natural for Mu Xiaomu to be attracted to Lu Jinye. What atroublesome kid Mu Zhi had.

Mu Xiaomu received the bottle from Jian Xiaoning and took a sip.

But her eyes were fixed at the direction Lu Jinye had disappeared into.

Helplessly, Jian Xiaoning continued to coax, “Fine, we’re going to see mommy soon, let’s go replacemommy, ok?”

At the mention of Mu Zhi, Mu Xiaomu’s dejected spirits quickly vanished. She clapped her handsjovially, “Yay, sure, let’s go see mama.”

Jian Xiaoning carried Mu Xiaomu in her arms, turned around, and… Found Mu Zhi not far away!

Standing next to her was… Lu Junnian.

Jian Xiaoning was left with no word. Under the circumstances, she must not bring Mu Xiaomu over.

However! She had just stopped Mu Xiaomu from seeing Lu Jinye. She felt like a conscienceless witchto stand in between Mu Xiaomu and Mu Zhi.

“Let’s go to the car and call mama to come to pick us up, alright?”

Jian Xiaoning enticed Mu Xiaomu patiently while making all efforts to block Mu Zhi from her line ofsight.

Luckily, Mu Xiaomu was obedient. She followed Jian Xiaoning into the car.

Also, luckily… Mu Zhi and Lu Junnian were busy pinpointing the photo’s angle. They did not notice JianXiaoning and Mu Xiaomu’s presence at all.

After a vigorous search, Mu Zhi finally found the angle that matched the one from the photograph. Shecould not help but crouch, scanning the area in hopes to replace some clues.

Suddenly, a keychain came within her line of sight.

She was on the verge on cheering jovially when her phone rang. The call was from Jian Xiaoning.

She took a glance at the screen and quickly answered, “Hello? What’s up?”

“Quickly draw Lu Junnian away, Mu Xiaomu and I are here!”

Mu Zhi held her phone by her ear as she subconsciously raised her head to scan the area.

True enough! She caught a glimpse of Jian Xiaoning’s car at the car park not far away.

Turning her eyes back to Lu Junnian, she said, “My friend’s here, I need to go home.”

“Let me see you off.”

Lu Junnian stared at Mu Zhi intending to follow behind her.

“Nah, I’m good.”

Mu Zhi instantaneously switched back to her listless front, making her a completely different personthan moments ago.

Lu Junnian was puzzled, but he did not press on. He asked, “Who’s your friend? Jian Xiaoning?”

While talking, he threw his gaze in Mu Zhi’s direction curiously.

The hospital’s car park was relatively empty. There were only a few cars around.

Very quickly, Lu Junnian managed to identify that one car.

“Even if it’s Jian Xiaoning, there’s no need to greet her.”

Mu Zhi quickly cut him off and prevented him from finishing his words.

Lu Junnian stared at Mu Zhi, slightly baffled, but nodded in the end, “Fine, as long as you’re happy.”

After finishing what he had to say, he immediately headed towards the hospital.

Mu Zhi ascertained that Lu Junnian had gone completely out of sight before turning around and headedto Jian Xiaoning’s car. She tapped on her car window. The car was promptly unlocked, and she hoppedin.

In the car, Mu Xiaomu was silently munching on the potato chips Jian Xiaoning gave her.

As soon as Mu Zhi clicked the door close, Jian Xiaoning heaved a sigh, “Sigh! Life is too tough!”

“What happened?”

Mu Zhi fastened her seatbelt as she asked Jian Xiaoning.

Jian Xiaoning heaved another sigh, “Can you feel that Mu Xiaomu and Lu Jinye are naturally close toeach other?”

Mu Zhi stared at Jian Xiaoning with a frown.

“Did she run into Lu Jinye again?”

That was the first thought that came to her mind.

Jian Xiaoning responded with a helpless nod along with another lamenting sigh.

While Mu Zhi wound down the car window, scanning the surrounding area cautiously.

“Enough, stop looking, I guess your Lu Jinye must have spotted your ambiguous interactions with LuJunnian, so he left.”

Mu Zhi pouted her lips, “He is not mine. We’ve divorced.”

Despite knowing that Lu Jinye had left, Mu Zhi continued to run her gaze around the area to replace LuJinye’s figure.

It was done subconsciously.

Lu Jinye came to her… Did that mean he was aware of her accident?

Was that a display of care?

At that thought, Mu Zhi started shaking her head without realizing it.

Please, what am I thinking?

“Have you ever thought that Lu Jinye might have been Mu Xiaomu’s father? And Mu Xiaomu is LuJinye’s daughter?”

While Mu Zhi was putting all her efforts to brush off the nonsense in her mind, Jian Xiaoning suddenlyuttered some garbage.

If Mu Zhi had water in her mouth, she would have sprayed it all over the car!

With her eyes at Jian Xiaoning, Mu Zhi said, “Lu Jinye’s daughter? Are you accusing me of sleepingwith Lu Jinye in the past?”

Jian Xiaoning was exceptionally calm. She looked at Mu Zhi with a stern face and concluded, “I thinkthat’s not impossible.”
