Rushing forwards, but this time focusing on his foot placement much more and also reducing his speed slightly, Xavier jumped onto the fence before pouncing towards the window.

But this time he paused for a split second upon landing on the fence to perfect the timing and be able to produce enough explosive power to jump high enough.

And with inches to spare, he was able to comfortably get a grip on the window with his right hand, since his left hand was still in a cast.

"I did it!" Xavier celebrated to himself quietly as he hung from the window with one hand before prying it open and crawling inside.

It was a tighter fit than he had previously imagined and maybe it was because he had put on a few pounds of muscle, but he managed to get in, tumbling into Zack's bathroom.

Creeping, trying to make the least amount of noise possible, he headed to Zack's room and opened the door as gently as he could.

The door of the old house creaked, but despite that, Xavier didn't feel any movement from within Zack's room and was surprised by what he saw.

-

Of course, Zack's room was a mess with all sorts of wires and devices on the floor and around his room, but that had nothing to do with what surprised Xavier.

It was the fact that Zack was still fast asleep even after all the noise he had made and what time it was.

Not only had Xavier thrown rocks at his window and slammed into the side of his house, but he had also tumbled into his bathroom, and yet Zack was fast asleep.

And he wasn't even in bed.

He was slumped on his desk, snoring and drooling as he lay there, oblivious to the intruder standing behind him.

'Not only did I manage to break into his house, but I'm also stood right behind him, and he hasn't noticed. What if I was someone from a rival gang?' Xavier couldn't help but think to himself.

'But the chances of somebody else being able to make the jump I just did is very low,' he added as he went to slap the back of Zack's head to wake him up.

However, he stopped himself.

It wasn't out of pity or anything of the sort, but because he caught a glimpse of what Zack had been working on all night.

At first, he had assumed that Zack had been playing games or wasting his time all night instead of getting sleep, which wouldn't be unusual for someone of his age, but it seemed as though Xavier had assumed wrong.

He had been hard at work, gathering all kinds of information and researching, as well as collating it in a folder that he was yet to complete.

Looking at all the monitors that were still on and had all sorts of things on them that Xavier couldn't even begin to understand, he was sure that he had made the right choice in accepting Zack.

And he had been very lucky to come across him so early and be able to recruit him with such ease.

Not only was he young, ambitious, loyal and capable, but he was also willing to put in the work and had a kind heart.

All of those things were what Xavier was looking for and although he had been confident in his previous choices, those he recruited just continued to surpass his expectations.

However, that's not to say that what Zack did was correct.

-

'He must've gotten excited and overwhelmed by the responsibility I placed on him and wanted to take the initiative to prepare himself,' Xavier gathered.

He appreciated the effort that Zack was putting in, but it was important that he took care of his body, even though he would never need to fight himself.

It was simply impossible for him to achieve the physical capability and combat prowess that Achara, Connor, and Sam have achieved, let alone what they will achieve in the future.

And Xavier wasn't expecting him to be able to, as everyone had their own strengths that they should play to.

However, it was still important to be healthy and with a healthy body came a healthy mind, which was what he was planning on scolding Zack about.

But before that, Xavier decided to do Zack a favour while he was asleep and started cleaning up his messy room for him.

It didn't take long, and all it needed was some organising.

Despite that, Xavier moving stuff around and cleaning up made a big difference, until he suddenly heard someone creaking up the stairs.

'It must be his grandmother!'

Quickly fitting under Zack's bed to hide, not wanting to startle the old lady, he stayed silent and as hidden away as he possibly could.

-

"Hmmm. Zack cleaned his room?" she groaned to herself as she took some time to catch her breath.

Even climbing up the stairs was an arduous task for the poor elder, but she still made sure to check on Zack every morning and wake him up for school.

Zack had always been a docile and reserved child, which made him easy to bring up, but that worried her.

She could never tell what was on his mind or understand what he was going through and doing in his room every day.

But ever since he joined that dojo that he seemed very passionate about, he had become much more energetic and she noticed a new light in his eyes.

-

There were times when Zack had come home with money, and other days that he had come home after being beaten to a pulp, but he never opened up or spoke to his grandmother much about anything.

Then suddenly one day, he showed great interest in a small, newly opened Muay Thai dojo.

There had been plenty of opportunities for Zack to get into all sorts of martial arts and sports, but they had never really interested him.

And yet this random new dojo had drawn him in, and there was a simple reason for that.

It was Achara.

He was a big fan of her fights on the Dark Web and Zack saw her as an opportunity to get stronger, and also have a capable backer so that he could get back at those that abused him at school.

But as we know, Xavier showed up, and a lot had happened since then, with Xavier being at the centre of them all.

In those bright blue eyes of his, Zack saw a prosperous and fulfilling future, as well as the light of a leader that he wished to follow to the best of his ability.

And Xavier was also the first to make him feel valued, which was why he was willing to work so hard on the Outlaw Gang.

With Zack's hacking, information gathering, and online connections, he could have done almost anything he wanted to.

But that wasn't all to him that there was.

School was a breeze for him, despite him barely attending, and he had a very sharp mind, being able to memorise and analyse most things with ease.

It put him mentally above most, and although he had been physically beaten, there was nobody that was able to inspire him mentally until Xavier.

He also wasn't able to realise his full potential until becoming a part of the newly formed Outlaw Gang, which gave him a platform to display his capabilities.

Leading to him overworking himself and struggling to care much about anything else other than the Outlaw Gang and its progression.

And even while he slept, he was dreaming about being a key member of the to-be greatest gang, the Outlaw Gang.
