Chapter 563 Lively Children-2

He saw her relieving herself outside, he didn't remember her ever teaching her. Was it because he just gave a lecture to Elise and the baby deer also understood his intentions? Noway, he immediately flushed the idea out of his head. That would be too ridiculous!

" She is gone?" Elise on the other hand was more worried about losing her out of her sight.

" Don't worry, she is running around. Just have your breakfast and you can also play until other wake up alright?"

" Un!" Getting his ressurance, Elise focused back on the food. Samuel picked her up and placed on the chair and gave her, her french toast along with a glass of juice. She prefered mango so he already pulled it out for her.

Right then, he received a call from Daniel. He promised not to call him late night which must be why he was calling early to inform him about the development with replaceing the breach.

" Good morning."

" Morning, I didn't see you waking up so early." Daniel was a little surprised with how fast he picked up his phone. He didn't even sound sleepy like he expected.

" What can I say? I have two little lively children to take care of. Have you found something?"

" Yeah, we found the hole half past two in the morning. As I suspected, it was the newly built fences I guess, your uncle did a piss poor job with overseeing the construction. I can't even imagine how everyone is on board with his crazy ideas." Daniel was irritated because he lost a lot of sleep last night, even Ludivine his wife was mad at him for leaving so late at night when she was pregnant.

" Don't lump with everyone! God knows I don't want to wake up in the middle of night with some wolves knocking at my front door."

" What can we do? With so much already done, I don't think us making fuss about it will change anything. I will try to put some more guys to look for more breaches in outer walls, we will seal everything that we could replace just hoping for the best."

" Thanks, right, did you replace any herds nearby? I decided to look for the baby deer's mother today." Samuel asked.

" That-" Daniel paused for a second. Samuel's intuition was telling him that it was something bad.

" We didn't but we did replace a dead deer near the hole. It was recent and I suspect the fawn that came to your backyard was her child. I am sorry."

" No, it's fine. I suspected it when she suddenly barged in here. There was little chance with how healthy she was that her mother would abandon her out of the blue." Samuel took a deep breath to settle his mind.

He knew if he released her now, it would only mean her death. The best case scenario would be for her to replace some other deer to rely on but with wolves coming to the enclosure soon, her chances of survival was slim to none.

" Do what you see fit with her. I am going back to sleep. If you need something just give me a call." Daniel disconnected. Samuel put down the phone and saw the recently arrived deer with a perplexing look.

" Will she understand if I tell her that her mother is dead? Was animals even capable of doing that?" He thought for a second before abandoning the idea. Elise already finished her meal and started running around with the deer.

Looking at two of them, he decided not to tell her. He would leave her in the ranch. There are enough people that could take care of her for the time being. Once she grew up a little, he could return her to the wild.

He didn't know at that time that she would become a special mascot of the estate few years in the future!

...

...

...

Samuel was driving with Elise to the Ranch. He had the deer sit together with Elise on the front seat and with the windows close they were both their head?to the side they were looking outside at everything. It was still early morning so the air was still a little foggy but with sunrise on the horizon everything was glittering.

He did check up on Adele, Mayra and Iblis but they were still sleeping. He thought it was best to let them rest today, with the cleaning crew coming in few hours that would surely wake them up.

He was driving because it would take half an hour to just reach the destination on foot, with two little kids it would definitely take them an hour so he thought it was best to take the car. Within minutes they arrived at Ranch, Samuel parked the car and took two of them out.

The baby deer was a little apprehensive as she was in unfamiliar environment so she stick close to Samuel's legs. Elise didn't want to separate from her so she too was on foot instead of Samuel's arm staying closer to the baby deer.

As soon as people inside saw that it was Samuel that visited them, they started working harder. It's not like they liked slacking, it's because of the recent rumour floating around the estate of him being ruthless and unforgiving.

These people were recently hired so they didn't know much about the culture or had never been around Samuel much because he hadn't been able to visit the Ranch since it's inauguration. One person that looked like the manager came forward with his hands in the front, smiling professionally at Samuel.

" Young master! What a great surprise! Did you came here to ride the horses?" Samuel knew it was their first meeting but this person already started buttering him up. It didn't sit right with him.

" You are?"

" I am Nelson young master. At your service!" He said enthusiastically. Even Elise could tell that the man was faking it with the look on his face.

" Cut the crap, I don't like to be flattered excessively. I don't care how you interact with my family members but just talk to like a nobody, alright?"

" Yes?" Nelson was taken aback by his frankness. He composed himself as his whole demeanor changed.

" Fine." He said in completely different tone. It even made Samuel intrigued to learn how this strange person came to work here.
