How the Ice King Became my Doting Billionaire Husband -
Chapter 447
Morwenna couldn't hear a word anyone was saying. Her mind was consumed with just one thought: Norbert Hetfield was dead, and she needed to get back to him.
She pushed Claude aside and began to limp toward the exit. Even for someone as nimble as Morwenna, who had spent countless days running through the mountains, jumping down from the second floor without any safety measures had injured her leg. Yet, she didn't care; she was determined to return home.
But at that moment, even if Claude and Brian didn't try to stop her, the reporters certainly wouldn't let Morwenna leave. Such a sensational story had them swarming like bees, their cameras incessantly flashing at Morwenna.
"Ms. Winslet, is it true that you've already been legally married to Mr. Hetfield?"
"Ms. Winslet, what drove you to betray him? How could you claim to love Mr. Hetfield while causing trouble for Claude?"
"Ms. Winslet, how much money did you swindle from Claude?"
"Ms. Winslet, how did you manage to marry into the Hetfield family? Were you banking on Norbert's support to scheme your way in?"
Morwenna raised her hand to shield her eyes from the blinding flashes. The lights were so intense she could barely keep her eyes open. Amidst the cacophony, she vaguely heard someone mention Norbert. Right, Norbert Hetfield-she had to see him.
She tried to move forward but collided into a reporter, unable to see through the dazzling lights. The impact sent her tumbling to the ground.
The reporter's camera fell and broke. "Hey, what are you doing, Morwenna? If you don't want to answer, fine, but why ruin my camera? You owe me for this! Unlike you, I can't just latch onto the rich and powerful. This camera cost me several months' salary!"
"She flirts with everyone, and we can't even talk about it? Disgusting!"
Morwenna lay on the ground, facing the malice of the crowd. She wanted to get up and leave. Under normal circumstances, not even ten reporters could have stopped her. But now, she was frail, having gone days without proper food or rest, her body barely functioning.

A single push from a reporter sent her crashing back down, her hand landing on shattered glass, blood dripping steadily onto the ground.
No one noticed Morwenna was hurt. No one cared, except for Claude. He forcefully pushed the reporters away. "Get back! All of you, leave her alone!"
The butler tried to intervene. "Master Claude, don't be rash! You'll get hurt!"
However, a teenager like Claude stood little chance against the throng of journalists. Overcome with a protective rage, he clutched a small knife, ready to act.
Sensing danger, the butler quickly injected Claude with a tranquilizer he'd kept on hand. Within seconds, Claude collapsed, caught by the butler.
There were people who cared for Claude, but none for Morwenna. She was like a cornered animal, surrounded by hunters in the glaring spotlight. Nothing but malice and insults surrounded her.
In the past, Norbert Hetfield had
shielded her from the storm. Now, without him, she felt shattered, her spirit and heart broken into pieces. She was a ghost in the spotlight, all her sorrow laid bare.

Suddenly, someone rushed forward, blocking the blinding lights, standing protectively in front of Morwenna. "Back off! Leave Mrs. Hetfield alone!"
"You're all lying! Mrs. Hetfield is the best, and the master told me to protect her. None of you can harm her!"
It was Orson Brown, bruised and
battered. Somehow, he had escaped
from Phineas and, despite his
injuries, he didn't go to the hospital. Instead, he found Morwenna,
spreading his arms wide to shield her from the crowd, loyal and unwavering. swnovel
