I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100
Chapter 410: New Spectresses

Elliot, Lance, and Guan Yin were rushing to the forest where Kaminari led the citizens. Time was not on their side as of the moment, so they have to run as fast as they can.

Lance was carrying the fainted Ed. Neither him nor Elliot couldn't believe that the flow of magic from the Eternal Chaos Curse ran out. Ed had been using it for days on end, making the magic stored in his body get used up.

"This is bad," Guan Yin said. "Licht was one step ahead of us. He already knew we were going to defeat Formosa, so he assigned a new batch of Spectresses and sent them to the citizens directly."

"He's a master tactician," Elliot said. "When we're the ones discussing about it after it happened, it sounds so simple, but Licht must've dedicated a lot of time planning this."

"What he wants is what he gets," Guan Yin said. "Even if he had to sacrifice ever single person in his kingdom, he would in a hearbeat. That's the kind of person he is, so there's no surprise there."

Elliot wanted to say something but a large beam of lightning struck on a part of the forest. The three looked at each other, nodding in agreement after arriving at the same conclusion.

"Kaminari."

"Lightning Master, give up," a woman so tall stood in front of a barely conscious Kaminari. "We know Formosa had been keeping your friends busy for a while."

"But why did you send Ed there?" Kaminari asked. "It would only let them know that you're here."

"We need a bit of a challenge," another tall woman spoke. "Time is of the essence. Let's see how many citizens from Shyako are left when we're done. Candy, start it."

The shortest among the women stood in front of the crowd. She placed both her palms on the ground while muttering something under her breath.

As she continued her chant, runes that formed a line appeared on the forest floor. It surrounded all the citizens, forming a large circle around them. When Candy was finished, she raised her hands and slammed it back down, making the runes glow with a bright green color.

"Okay, stop," the first woman spoke. "Kaminari, you know what this spell is, right?"

"Stop that!" Kaminari yelled. "You have no right to play with their souls."

"Serena, silence him," the first woman ordered the second woman.

"Got that, Lady Wen," Serena replied. She kneeled in front of Kaminari and conjured a bandage from her fingers. She then wrapped the bandages around Kaminari's mouth, preventing him from sleeping.

While Serena was doing her job, Lady Wen looked around with burrowing eyebrows, seemingly baffled about something. "Diana should've returned from her hunt. Damn that flaming boy. If he did something to Diana, I'll kill him–"

Something fell from the sky and right in front of the first woman that made her scream in shock. The object seemed to be smoking, marks of burns and charred parts were noticeable.

"What the hell is this?" Lady Wen asked herself, leaning towards the object when she saw it turn into the green rune similar to Formosa. "It's Diana!"

Kaminari jolted off of the ground and kicked Serena on her face. He swerves his foot to the side, bringing Serena with it before he threw her to a tree. The woman's body clashes with the hard bark of the giant tree, making her grasp for air and pass out not long after.

Kaminari then ran towarsa Lady Wen who still had her eyes on the runes. In a split second time, the citizens parted from their direction and she was being pushed inside the black hole.

The way it looked and the way it behaved was exactly like the one the Formosa created. Although this one was much smaller, and had a lower sucking force, the concept was still the same.

Licht had already sacrificed them.

"No!" Lady Wen yelled. Her lower body was already being absorbed by the black hole, while she still struggled to get out. "You can't do this to me. I am Du Du's younger sister. If he knows you killed me, he will come after you."

Kaminari smirked and leaned closer to her, "Let him come, then. Wen Du Du is nothing but a coward who hides underneath someone else's powers. Once he's after me, I'll be prepared."

Lady Wen grit her teeth. She let go of the ground and let the black hole absorb her, not leaving her glaring gaze at Kaminari as she did.

Candy stood from her position. She conjured dark green spinning orbs on both her hands and raised it against Kaminari. "Don't move or else I'll burn everything."

She took a step forward while staring at Kaminati. When she took another step, the ground lit up and a red circle ignited underneath her. Candy wasn't able to react when the red circle erupted a geyser of flames, shooting like a strong wrath of a river.

The flames were soon being sucked inside the black hole from Candy's body. The soil underneath, and some of the small trees and grass joined the flames into the black hole, shooting into nothingness.

"That was close," Connor said while he got down. All this time, he was just watching them. He was chased by Diana but he had already eliminated her.

"Lady Wen's body didn't turn into a black hole," Kaminari pointed out. "Licht didn't put a curse on her."

Connor nodded and looked around, "What about the girl you kicked? Where is she?"

Kaminari pointed at the tree he kicked Serena into, but the woman wasn't there anymore. There were also no signs of a black hole since the ground and the trees were alright.

"She fled," Kaminari sighed in disappointment. "I would've thrown my sword through her head."

"No," Connor said, pointing at the citizens near the tree where Serena was kicked at. "There were children near it. Adults can barely withstand the power of the black hole. If those children were exposed to it, I believe they couldn't make it."

"Yeah, that makes sense," Kaminari sighed. "But what about Serena? I'm sure she'll talk."

Connor shook his head, "You already gave them the signal. Elliot will be here soon. Junko, you can come out now."

A portal had opened right in front of them. Geneva walked out while Junko followed them.

"Thank you for your help," Junko bowed her head. "But please, one more favor. Could I please request your realm to be an asylum for my people? They need a safe space."

"That's not a problem at all," Geneva smiled and snapped her fingers. Dozens of portals opened around them after her snap. Guards from Inferno came out of them, leading the Citizens of Shyako inside the portals.

"You're consuming too much powers for people we don't know of!"

A high-pitched male voice roared from the portal that Junko and Geneva walked out of. A stout man passed through the portal with his lips swerving to the side, his face showing disagreement on the things that had been happening.

"You voted me out just because you want to waste our precious resources, what great leadership you have," the man groaned.

Connor leaned into Geneva's ear and asked her, "Who is he?"

The priestess sighed and whispered back, "He's one of the senators from Inferno, Cracked Orbs."
