Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage
Chapter 45 45: Recruitment for Godslayer

"Server Announcement: Congratulations! Player Orgod has established the guild [Godslayer] and secured a Guild War slot!"

The server exploded in chatter. Though announcements of guild creation had become commonplace since the game launched, this one was different.

"Orgod?!"

"The King Family offered him a 200-million salary, and he turned it down just to create his own guild?!"

"This is huge! Dragon's Kiss Guild, SSR, Slaughter—looks like they've got some serious competition now!"

Players couldn't believe it. The once-disgraced Three-Time Champion, mocked for his supposed involvement in match-fixing, had made an unprecedented comeback in Infinite Dimensions.

In just days, he had single-handedly disrupted the plans of Dragon's Kiss Guild and SSR, defeated Usher multiple times, and now—this.

"He turned down 200 million... Orgod must really mean business this time!"

---

ShatteredCrown: "No need to say more—supporting my master with a little giveaway!"

Ever the charismatic opportunist, ShatteredCrown celebrated his master's new guild by dropping three massive 777-gold giveaways on the world chat.

Empress of the Moon: "Congrats, Orgod! Can't wait for our next collaboration!"

SlaughterDemon Emperor: "Looking forward to clashing with you in the Guild Wars!"

The gesture set off a wave of congratulations from prominent players. The ensuing storm of red envelopes left the server's players scrambling for gold like it was Christmas morning.

Orson noticed the name SlaughterDemon Emperor and raised an eyebrow. "A battle maniac, huh?"

He recalled that the Slaughter guild leader, a real-world CEO, was notorious for his obsession with combat. His S-rank Thunder Blade Archer had once caused no end of headaches for rival guilds. Despite Orson ignoring Slaughter's earlier private messages, the man showed no ill will—a rare quality.

---

Soon, Orson's guild received an avalanche of membership applications.

"Player Purple Sword, Level 17, Warrior, has applied to join the guild."

"Player Snow Demon, Level 16, Class: …"

Over 300 applications poured in at once, spurred by the allure of Orson's reputation.

Orson shook his head and disabled the application system.

"Quality over quantity."

At the Iron Rank, a guild could only host up to 300 members. Allocating spots wisely between combat and lifestyle players was crucial. Any oversight—like allowing spies from other guilds—could jeopardize their chances in the Guild Wars.

---

"You've invited player Money Traveler to join the guild."

"You've invited player Madman to join the guild."

"You've invited player Wild Gale to join the guild."

---

Bradley: "I'm Level 2, Orson. Are you really going to let me drag the guild down?"

Madman: "Dude, where's all this money coming from? Did you replace yourself a sugar momma? Why don't I have that luck!"

Wild Gale: "...?"

Despite their protests, both Bradley and Madman quickly accepted their invitations.

For Orson, these two were irreplaceable. Bradley was his loyal brother-in-arms, while Madman was a crafty strategist with military school credentials. Above all, they were trustworthy.

---

Orson's third invite went to Wild Gale, a former Dragon's Kiss Guild member and a prominent battle forum contributor.

In his past life, Wild Gale had never made a name for himself in rankings. His B-rank Awakening and average combat performance left him unremarkable. However, he possessed a unique strength: knowledge.

Wild Gale's guide, "Comprehensive Class Counter Strategies," was a must-read for new players in Infinite Dimensions. Spanning over 50,000 words, the guide dissected every class's strengths and weaknesses.

While most players relied on brute force, Wild Gale's tactical insights could elevate Godslayer's combat proficiency.

---

Wild Gale: "You know I was in Dragon's Kiss Guild. Are you sure you trust me?"

Orson replied with a smile. "I'm not sure yet. But I trust your theories."

Wild Gale hesitated. His inbox was flooded with messages from his former guildmates, accusing him of being a traitor. Their scorn left him disillusioned.

Wild Gale: "I don't care about farming gear. If you gear me up, I'll join."

Orson chuckled and sent over a 20-level premium warrior set, worth over 100 gold.

Stunned by Orson's generosity, Wild Gale immediately accepted the invite.

---

With recruitment underway, Orson returned to farming monsters.

The countdown to the Guild Wars stood at just over a day. Most players were racing to hit Level 20, where Class Awakening and new gear unlocked a significant power boost.

---

Three hours before the end of his defense mission, Bradley suddenly sent Orson a frantic voice call.

Bradley: "I DID IT! Orson, check the announcement! I'm officially the Sword God!"

---

"Server Announcement: Incredible! Player Money Traveler has completed the S-rank hidden quest: [Forged in Fire]!"

"Reward: S-rank hidden class: Light-Dark Sword Saint!"

"Bonus: +100 Free Points, +120 Skill Points, +10 Talent Points, +150 Gold!"

---

The server erupted.

Player A: "What?! A Level 1 player awakened an S-rank class?!"

Player B: "Where did he replace this quest? I'll pay 50 gold for the info!"

Dragon's Kiss Guild Swordsman: "Are you kidding me? I'm in the top 50 and fully geared, but this noob gets an S-rank class?!"

---

Money Traveler: "Relax, everyone. I'm just that skilled. Go to bed; you're embarrassing yourselves."

Orson burst into laughter as Bradley reveled in the attention.

Money Traveler: "Listen up! Remember the name Money Traveler! And to all the recruiters out there—don't bother. I'm already the deputy of [Godslayer]!"

Bradley's overconfidence left players fuming.

---

Orson: "Stop flexing and join my dungeon run. We've got three hours to get you to Level 20."

Bradley: "Three hours? Are you serious?"

Orson: "What else? Look at my level."

Bradley: "Level 24, 90%? What the hell? Are you leveling with pig feed?"

Orson: "Shut up and come over."

---

Ten minutes later, a shirtless Level 1 Bradley arrived. His mismatched appearance left Orson speechless.

"Where are you looking? I'm standing right in front of you!" Orson sighed.

Bradley: "Boss Bai? An NPC? Wait… you're not cheating. You're a dev, aren't you?!"

Orson: "I'm your dad!"

Smacking Bradley on the head for a critical -99, Orson nearly sent him back to the respawn point.

---

Bradley: "Wait, let me test my new skill first."

Summoning a flash of light in his palm, Bradley conjured the Holy Light Sword—a weapon once wielded by the legendary Saint of Swords.

But as Orson watched, the sword fizzled out after just a few inches.

"Damn, my mana's too low. It's... a bit short," Bradley muttered awkwardly.

Orson's mouth twitched. Placing a hand on his shoulder, he said, "With a sword that short, let's keep it sheathed for now."
