Leveling Up With My Pet
Chapter 76 The Same Process

"Boooom!!!!"

As the ship sailed, a sudden loud noise erupted from the bottom of the vessel.

It was as if someone was poking tofu, and before anyone knew it, a massive spear had effortlessly pierced through the ship's hull, creating a gaping hole more than 10 meters long.

"If I push any harder," Bawang remarked,

"the spear will likely go all the way through. This bulk carrier, which can hold over 150,000 tons of cargo, is as fragile as paper."

The Overlord brandished the spear, repositioned it, and plunged it toward the ship's hull again.

This time, it created another sizable hole, with the giant spear almost entirely piercing through.

"Pick it up and poke it again!"

Consumed by the thrill of the destruction overlord was causing. "

Poke it in and pull it out!"

The Overlord appeared addicted to the act, showing no signs of stopping as he repeatedly pierced the ship's hull.

Suddenly, it created a muffled sound from beneath the water, and even more holes appeared on the ship's hull.

Large amounts of seawater flooded into the vessel through these openings.

There was no crew aboard the "Fortune" ship, which had just finished unloading a large amount of iron ore and planned to remain docked at the port for two days. As such, nobody had noticed the significant holes in the vessel's hull.

Eventually, an individual on the pier became aware of a peculiar sound.

"Listen, where is that noise coming from?" they asked.

"I hear it too. It sounds quite loud," someone else responded.

"It seems to be coming from the low water," another person said.

"It can't be underwater, it's probably coming from some distance away," another voice offered.

As the muffled sound persisted, many onlookers speculated about its origin, never imagining that it came from the bottom of the water and the damaged "Fortune" ship.

The onlookers paid little heed to the noise for approximately 20 to 30 more muffled sounds.

However, with each passing moment, they were unaware that a considerable amount of seawater was flooding the ship through the over 20 large holes in the hull.

As time passed, the seawater inside the vessel rose, causing the ship to sink gradually. As the boat began to decline, it suddenly tilted, and something strange occurred.

Finally, someone on the pier noticed the abnormality. "Look!". Someone shouted, drawing the attention of those nearby.

"My God, what happened?!" exclaimed another individual.

"That ship is clearly sinking!" others shouted.

As the situation became more apparent, many onlookers grew increasingly concerned, with some even turning pale with fright at realizing the perilous situation aboard the "Fortune."

Shi Lijun, a member of the Proton Group, appeared to be in high spirits, sitting comfortably in an oversized boss chair while smoking a cigar and receiving a report from one of his subordinates.

Although the group had suffered significant losses due to a ship sinking two days prior, Shi Lijun seemed to have put the event behind him and was feeling quite pleased with himself in the present moment.

My lord," the subordinate began, "as per your instructions, we've utilized some tactics to snatch Universal's orders nearly. One of their ships was waiting to be loaded at the pier, but now there were no orders. I suggest we make a stop at the pier."

Shi Lijun chuckled with satisfaction, feeling incredibly proud of his team's success.

After laughing, he took a drag from his cigar, blew a giant smoke ring, and expressed his contentment: "Excellent work, everyone. You all did an outstanding job."

The subordinate replied, stuttering slightly, "It was all due to the leadership of the eldest son. We simply carried out your orders."

Shi Lijun acknowledged the subordinate's words with a nod and gave further instructions.

"Keep up the pressure and seize all of Global Ocean Services' business. We'll leave them with empty ships and no transport deals. Let them understand that in Huahai City, Proton is the leading company in the ocean shipping industry."

The subordinate responded promptly,

"Absolutely, we won't slack off and will do everything in our power to take business away from Universal."

"Very well, carry out the plan with diligence," Shi Lijun concluded.

Shi Lijun sipped his cigar and admired the subordinate leaving. He contemplated that Universal had not acted despite being robbed for three days.

He concluded they lacked the strength to carry out such an operation and that his prior suspicions were unfounded.

With this realization, he resolved to completely crush Global Ocean Services and ensure they could not recover, even if it meant pushing them into bankruptcy.

As Shi Lijun was lost in thought, Yuan Guanghui burst into the office in a state of panic, exclaiming, "My lord, there's a big problem!" Despite Shi Lijun's apparent composure, Yuan Guanghui was agitated.

Yuan Guanghui was grieved as he recounted the disastrous news that the largest bulk carrier docked at the port had been punctured with numerous holes. He was so overwhelmed by the gravity of the situation that he broke down in tears.

Yuan Guanghui was in tears, his face covered in snot and tears as he exclaimed,

"My lord, our ship 'Fortune' has been punctured with 20 to 30 large holes, and it's practically a sinking sieve!"

Shi Lijun was taken aback by the news, his face pale as he swiftly rose to his feet and demanded to know when the incident occurred.

Yuan Guanghui continued to cry as he replied, "It happened less than 20 minutes ago, my lord."

As the news of the ship's sabotage spread, people from the Proton Group who were at the port wasted no time reporting the incident via phone, taking the matter seriously.

After verifying the report, Yuan Guanghui hurried to inform Shi Lijun that the news was not a hoax.

Upon hearing the news of the "Fortune's" dire situation, Shi Lijun's face paled, and he hastily gestured, "Let's go to the pier immediately."

Upon arriving at the pier, they found that the "Fortune" was in a critical state, almost sinking and tilting almost upside down.

The ship's hull was riddled with numerous large holes, at least twenty or thirty of them, causing it to sink rapidly.

As he witnessed the devastation before him, Shi Lijun was stunned.

One thought dominated his mind: Global Ocean Services was likely responsible for this sabotage. It had to be them!

The news of the sabotage left the Proton Group in a panic yet again.

Shi Wanquan retook charge of the meeting, but it proved futile, with no progress made. Some even speculated it might be divine punishment due to the Proton Group's past wrongdoings. They pondered whether the group had accumulated too many evil deeds that caused God to act against them.

After the meeting, Shi Wanquan appeared to have aged by ten years. He was unable to comprehend why such a catastrophic event had occurred.

Where could the numerous holes in the bottom of the ship have come from?

Could it have been the actions of an enemy?

Various potential adversaries crossed his mind, but he could not understand their identities.

He had numerous enemies and was unsure which could have been responsible for this sabotage.

Despite being able to identify the enemy to some extent, he could not determine their method to create multiple holes in the boat's bottom.

Upon his return to the office after the meeting, Shi Lijun also struggled to come up with a solution.

The more he thought about it, the more convinced he became that Global Ocean Services was responsible for the incident.

As he contemplated the situation further, it seemed increasingly plausible that they were indeed the culprit, as it seemed unlikely for such an event to happen twice in a row as a mere coincidence.
