Manaless Mage -
Chapter 91 Unexpected Offer
A figure with straight brown hair and deep black eyes stared at the black rectangular targets in front of him.
They were all arranged on a set of rails that were fixed on the ground, with the railings forming a complex formation.
A day had passed and he was currently in the training centre.
A slight smile appeared on Harry's face as he walked towards the training room control and then set the training to his desired level—level 5.
Immediately the target started moving sideways with great speed and a small black hole appeared at the middle of each target.
Tuuu!
A low sound rang out as a small black ball shot from the target towards Harry.
The speed seemed even faster than the last time as Harry didn't activate [Accelerate], however, Harry still wasn't fazed by it.
Just as the ball closed in on him, he quickly took a step backwards before stretching his hand, grabbing the projectile.
Before he even made another step, another ball was already heading towards him with speed.
Harry didn't panic though.
He made a slight spun and then quickly threw the ball in his hand towards the approaching attack.
It flew towards the small ball with even greater speed before colliding against it with force; stopping it midway.
The two balls 'exploded' due to the force at which they hit each other, the pieces falling to the ground.
Harry's attention didn't waver, he had only taken down a few and even more projectiles were already rushing towards him.
Harry knew there was no way he could escape all of them without activating any skill so he used his first skill.
"Lightning Ball!" Harry screamed and then spun slightly with little sparks of lightning rapidly forming above his palm.
The sparks rapidly merged, forming a small blue ball made purely of lightning.
Harry immediately threw his hand forwards, launching the blue lightning ball.
The 'ball' flew rapidly in the air, hitting not just one but three of the attacks, causing them to explode into tiny dusts before dispersing.
"Wind blade!" He shouted before throwing his hand in an arc.
A huge amount of wind crept up from his hands, rapidly spreading and thinning out into a long thin blade.
The blade rushed forwards following his hand movements, it made a slight curving motion with its length increasing with every passing second.
It clashed against the closest ball, slicing through it and dividing it into two pieces.
It didn't stop there though as it went through another three balls, completely slicing them into two.
Harry didn't waste any time and rushed forwards with great speed.
Though he wasn't using [Accelerate], his normal speed was still quite fast. His speed had even increased from the last time—albeit slightly.
Since the wind blade had destroyed all the attacks closer to him, he had a few seconds of rest to advance—there was no way he would waste that chance.
He sidestepped, dodging a small ball as it brushed past his shoulder.
Noticing that one of the targets was about to release an attack to him, Harry slowed down his speed slightly and then stretched his right hand.
"Lightning Ball!" A small blue ball rapidly conjured above his palm, Harry immediately launched the attack to the closest target.
The ball of lightning flew in the air with great speed, leaving a slight trail of lightning. Within a few seconds, it closed in on the rectangular target, hitting it with full force.
Small steaks of lightning snakes around the area of contact for a few seconds before the target was as finally eliminated.
It sunk back into the rails, leaving only nineteen targets on the rail.
'One down.' Harry mumbled inwardly.
The other targets didn't wait for him as they immediately sent more attacks towards him.
Harry gritted his teeth and then started running in a curved motion. The targets could only move sideways and launch straight attacks so him running in a curved motion did make things a little easier for him in facing the incoming projectiles.
"Lightning Ball!" He launched a blue lightning ball towards the closest projectile, completely evaporating it.
He didn't stop there though but kept shooting out more lightning balls, until he eliminated five more targets.
He ignored the energy depleting notifications that kept flashing across his eyes and placed his focus on only one thing—winning!
As he moved to the side, he noticed the target at the middle making slight turns in a bid to track his movements.
"Wind Blade!" Harry immediately activated another skill. Wind gathered around his hands, bloating and fluttering his uniform violently before rapidly merging together into a thin line.
He threw his hand forward in a slight curving motion, causing the long wind blade to also curve slightly in its motion.
It rushed forwards with great speed, slicing the approaching projectiles and also eliminating a few targets.
Though Harry's speed hadn't gotten that much faster from the last time, it was obvious that he was having a better time with eliminating the targets.
This was because he was paying more detail to the attacks and wasn't just focused on running.
His perception stat was quite high and although doing this was quite straining for him, it wasn't impossible.
While his movements weren't the most refined, they were definitely a lot more co-ordinated.
"Lightning ball!" Harry sidestepped slightly and then threw another Lightning ball directly towards the target at the centre.
Since that was the one likely to give him the most trouble due to its ability to rotate, he planned on eliminating it fast.
The Lightning hall flew in the air with astonishing speed, closing in on the target within seconds and eliminating it.
The rest no longer posed any problem to him as Harry had finally left their trajectory by moving to the side.
He simply launched more Lightning balls without stopping, until he finally completed the training.
He panted heavily the moment he eliminated the last target.
"That… was quite tough." Harry muttered between light pants. However, he still had a smile on his face even though he claimed the training to be tough.
While it was difficult and taxing, it was also thrilling! The fact that he managed to complete it without using [Accelerate] filled him with so much joy.
Even though doing so made things twice more difficult for him, he felt a weird filling sensation within him.
All the energy he expended on the training recovered within seconds and he didn't even feel like he had just gone through a training.
The refilling energy filled him up, making Jkp feel a familiar bubbling and refreshing feeling within his chest.

Harry walked out of the training room with a slight smile on his face.
By now, his stamina had already recovered and from his appearance, one couldn't guess that he had just exerted himself almost to his limit.
"Hey." Just then as he got closer to the stairs, he heard a tiny feminine voice call out to him with a tone laced in disdain.
Harry's eyes squinted slightly as he turned his head slightly and looked behind him. He didn't know why but her disdainful tone irked him a lot more than it should.
His eyes met with that of a short girl with thick black hair tied into a bun.
The moment their eyes met, her face flushed slightly.
She was putting on the same silver and bike uniform as him and with [Mana Sense], he was able to sense some mana around her which meant she was an Elementalist.
"What do you want?" He asked in a snarky tone. Since she was rude to him, he found no reason to be polite to her.
Her cheeks and the side of her face turned slightly pink for some reason, however, Harry didn't think too much about it.
"S-susan grey… calls for you." She said in a surprising meek tone.
Harry ignored her sudden change in tone and was more focused on what she said. 'Susan Grey… that name sounds familiar. Wait… Susan Grey?!'

Hello dear readers, I just want to use this medium to say I'm sorry for the re-occurring words and paragraphs in the last chapters.
its a bug from the app I use to write my novel(I don't use my phone notes app but an external one). It keeps repeating my paragraphs.
I write few hours before 12:00am GMT+ and I simply upload and go through them later so I don't notice the mistakes until I re-read directly from NovelFire.
I've deleted the app and while I can't take back the inconveniences you all must have felt while reading the chapters, I deeply apologise for it.
This would be the last time a mistake like this would occur. I can promise you that. I'll write earlier and go through them before uploading. Thanks for the support and love you all have being showing this novel from day one, you have no idea how happy it makes me feel.
