The war has been going on for a few hours now, I’m beginningto get exhausted and I can tell the others are too. Charlie and I went to get Leviand we succeeded, there was surprisingly no guards there…

“Charlie!” Levi screams. I spin around to see Charlie’s neckget snapped by a demon, my heart beat increases as I watch there was nothing Icould do. Levi continues to scream as he kills the demons that just ruined hislife, my feet take me as I run over to where the hysteric boy is crying overCharlie.

“Levi!” I yell as I come to a stop next to him, “No,Charlie…” I sob as my knees give in and I fall to the ground next to them.

“Jasper stop!” Mika roars causing me to look up to seeJasper running in to help Mika only to have his throat slit.

“JASPER!” I scream as I stare at the group falling apart.

“You bastards!” Mika yells as he starts killing the ones whokilled Jasper. I look back at Levi to see him now standing.

“Levi…?” I ask as a look of horror and anger mixes in hisexpression.

“You can shut up! You caused this!” He roars. A sword comesthrough his stomach as blood drips off the end.

I fall backwards to see Levi fall to his knees as bloodescapes his lips. The sword leaves his stomach making him fall onto a lifelessCharlie, a demon stands behind him, a smug grin on his face. Suddenly his headfalls off of his body revealing a blood covered Mika, “We have to retreat,” Hegrabs my arm ripping me off the floor and to my feet.

“Everyone’s dead,” I sob as he pulls me away.

“Exactly.” His words leave his lips like venom before hestop and hides me behind him, “Let us leave, you win the war, just move,” Hebarks.

“I want my daughter,” Hades speaks.

Mika shakes his head, “over my dead body,” he wields hissword.

“That can be arranged,” He snickers and makes the groundcome up around us, enclosing us in. I make knives appear throwing them at him,but, he makes a shield with the ground, “You should know better.”

“Stop hiding behind a shield and fight you bastard!” Mikayells and throws a fireball at the shield making it explode and dust to goeverywhere.

I grab hold of Mika’s arm as we can’t see 2 steps ahead ofus thanks to the dirt and dust around us, “Mika, where is he?” I ask. I hearMika scream in pain as he grasps my arm tightly, “MIKA!” I shriek as the dirtfinally falls and I see a hand in his stomach, Hades hand.

I throw a knife at Hades, hitting him in the side, but, hedoesn’t flinch, “now my daughter,” he starts as he takes his hand out, Mikafalling to the ground lifeless, “don’t anger me.”

“Jamie! Jamie wake up!” Mika yells as I shoot up and look aroundthe room to see the bedroom I fell asleep in, “are you okay?” He asks me grabbingmy hand tightly.

The sun shines through the curtains as my body trembles atthe nightmare I just encountered, “Y-yeah, I just had a nightmare,” I mumbleand squeeze his hand looking into his beautiful blue eyes.

A small smile falls on his face as he reaches up and strokesmy cheek, “it was only a nightmare,” he coos trying to stop me from shaking.

I reach up and hold his hand against my cheek closing myeyes and embracing his warmth, “I know, but, you died, everyone died,” I chokeon my words as my eyes start tearing up.

“Shh, it’s okay,” he grabs my body and pulls me into a tightembrace. I sob quietly into his shoulder and he strokes my hair, “I’m here andno matter what happens, I won’t die, you won’t die, no one will die, but,” hiswords strike fear in me, ‘but’, why does there have to be a but? “If one of usis to die,” he pulls away and holds my shoulders looking me straight in theeye, “you have to be ready.”

I shake my head and wipe away the fallen tears, “I don’twant to think about that.”

He lets out a small sigh and looks behind me, “We’re havinga moment, come back later okay?” He speaks softly.

“You’re both also naked,” Charlie mumbles awkwardly makingmy eyes wide and me to dive back under the covers.

“Charlie!” I shriek. Mika looks at me in disbelief as heshakes his head a grin plastered on his face. Charlie’s gay, why am I actinglike this? I sit back up and hold the sheet up to my chest, “I forgot, sorry.”

Charlie chuckles and leans against the door frame, “I shouldlet you know I can hear Jasper coming down the hallway,” my cheeks turn abright red and I flop back down into the bed and cover my face with my arm.

“I hate everything,” I mumble and feel Mika’s hand fall onmy stomach sending butterflies through me.

“Hey guys- Whoa, I’ll come back later,” Jasper’s chirpy tonequickly turning into a laugh.

“We’re not doing anything,” Mika groans and lays back downnext to me removing his hand.

I peek through my hand to see Jasper and Charlie whisperingsomething at the door, “Oh my god, have you been crying?” Jasper gasps as heruns over to me and sits on the edge of the bed.

I shuffle in my spot and try to cover myself up more, “I’mnaked guys,” I remind them.

“If you could leave, it would be helpful thanks,” Mikaspeaks sarcastically.

“Jasper let’s let these two get changed, THEN WE’RE GOING TOWAR!” Charlie cheers and hurries out the room followed by Jasper who rolls hiseyes.

The door closes and nothing is said between the two of us. Iget up and wrap the sheet around me before walking over to my cupboard grabbingmy clothes, “aren’t you getting in your fighting gear?” He asks me, I can feelhis eyes burning though my back as he stares at me.

I lower my clothes and close the cupboard, “Yeah…” I mumbleand cause a black smoke to engulf me as my fighting gear appears on my body.

I turn to look at Mika who already has his gear on and iswalking over to me, “Don’t tell me you’re getting cold feet,” He chuckles andplaces his hands on my hips.

I shrug, “We’re about to go to war, it’s normal to have coldfeet.” He pouts at me and sways us side to side, “why are you so childish?” Igiggle and slap his chest walking away from his grip.

“We better go get the others,” he sighs and I open thedouble doors to the rest of the house.

“Are you ready?!” Charlie chirps as he jumps in front of megiving me a heart attack.

“CHARLIE!” I scream as jump backwards, knives appearingbehind me ready to attack, “don’t do that!” I yelp and make them disappear.

He has a smirk on his face as he looks at Mika, “maybe don’tbe so loud next time,” he whispers. I furrow my eye brows and stare at him inconfusion. He raises his eye brows as if to say, ‘last night’.

“Oh god,” I mumble and walk past him.

“Are we going?” Jasper asks as he meets me at the bottom ofthe stairs. I nod, “By the way, we don’t know where Alex is, she said go onwithout me and be careful,” he shrugs and walks with me.

“Okay…” I swallow hard and walk into the living room.

“Are we ready?” Mika asks from behind me. I just stare athim in sadness, what if he dies? I won’t be able to live with myself if any ofthese beings died for me.

“Yeah,” Charlie and Jasper say as Charlie grabs my hand.Mika grabs my other as Jasper grabs Mika’s and Charlie’s.

“To Hades hell, we call to you, send us there and save ustoo,” Mika chants sending shivers down my spine.

A black smoke engulfs us as we continue to hold hands, “Youcome with me to get Levi!” Charlie yells over the loud noise of wind.

I nod and look at Mika who has a smile on his face. I thenlook to Jasper who gives me a small wink, how are they not scared? They alllook excited almost. The black disappears, we stand in the fire consumedunderworld, completely aware of the war that is about to begin, “Are we ready?”I ask as I look at Mika, then at Jasper, then to Charlie. They nod, smirksfalling on their faces, “Good.” I growl as I swing open my coat grabbing one ofthe many knives hanging in the sides, “Let’s fight.”

Our steps are unheard through the roaring of the firesaround us, suddenly a loud burst of snickering fills the air, “My daughter! Youhave come with these three, hmm,” He mumbles obviously trying to think of thewords as we all stop in our tracks looking around, “Imbeciles.”

Jasper steps forward, “Hey! There was no need for that!” Heyells, his face going red.

Mika grabs his shoulder ripping him back, “Get a hold ofyourself.” He growls hitting his back in a calming gesture the guys usually do.

“See where I’m coming from Jamie? Join me in your rightfulplace, rule next to me.” Hades voice is heard in front of us, we all look aheadto see him appear, black robe dragging behind him.

A disgusted laugh leaves my lips, “And what do I get inreturn? End up being like you? I’m good. Thanks.” I pause as the wind blow onme causing my coat to fly open.

“How particular,” He smirks looking at my knives, “I hopeyou know how to use them, I don’t want you being killed.” He chuckles as hesteps forwards. I feel Mika try to step forwards, but, I grab his wrist lookingat him. He looks down at me, anger and worry in his eyes, they are clouded. “Itseems you found yourself a lover, no?” He asks. The tone in his voice showinghe’s genuinely curious.

“Hades!” Mika roars as he pushes me behind him, “You willnever get your hands on her while I’m here.” He continues to yell.

A gasp is heard from my so called father, “One of my own?Ah, Mika. Now I can get a good look at you, you look horrible.”

“I could say the same for you, but, I would prefer saying itto you when I’m holding my hand to your throat.” Mika’s words coming out withpure resentment.

“Tsk, tsk harsh words coming from one of my soldiers.” Hadeslectures as he crosses his arms.

“His my soldier now.” I spit as I spin two knives in my leftand right hand, “Not yours. You lost all right when I made a contract withhim.” I can feel the hatred burning inside of me. How dare he call him hisafter everything?

“We’re her army. You don’t know who you’re up against hades!We will lay our lives down for Jamie before you can get one finger on her.”Jasper speaks up drawing his sword. The blade making a satisfying noise as itscratches against its holder.

“Good luck.” Is all that leaves his curved lips as hedisappears into thin air.

A large ring of black smoke about the size of a school ovalcircles around us, “This is bad.” Mika whispers as he raises his hands, bluefire engulfing them.

I look back at Mika, “Please, don’t die on me.” I beg as Istop spinning the knives and hold onto them tightly. He looks at me beforeplacing his lips on mine, not pulling away for a couple seconds. Once he does,he stares at me smiling. A smile creeps on my face as I look away and look atJasper, “You’re my best friend. If you die, I’m going down with you.” I mumbleas he looks at me.

“Never.” He laughs as he tightens his grip on the sword,causing it to light up being engulfed by lightening.

“Charlie, you cannot die on me, you hear me?” I beg to him.

He chuckles and holds his Scythe in his hand spinning itaround, “same goes to you.”

The smoke disappears revealing hundreds of demons growlingand screaming at us, “You made a shitty mistake coming here!” “I’m going tokill each and every one of you!” My body trembles as I listen to the commentsbeing thrown around.

“Fight.”
