My Unconventional Lover: Seeing A Different World -
Chapter 56
Chapter 56: She Is Crazy
Kunti let out a roar of laughter when she heard me said that. Her floating body floated even higher and made a turn in the air, and I was sitting there, dumbfounded seeing the circus in front of me.
Is it really that funny?
I waited until she came down from her fit of laughter. Still with stifling laugh, she came down and floated in front of me. I couldn’t see the tears in her eyes, but she wiped it as if she had it. She really had a good laugh.
“Really, Jane, you are so funny and adorable. You’re so charming. How come no human boys like you? That Rizal boy is indeed handsome and smart to put his choice in you, but he couldn’t refuse his fate to marry that silly creature.”
I blinked my eyes in response to her chattering. I didn’t know what I should say to react to her compliments which ended in her sighing.
“What are you doing here?” I repeated my question. “You must have something to tell me since you couldn’t replace me in my dorm.”
“Well, actually I wanted to ask you this days ago, but you were so busy and you know, problems knocked on your door in one day and you were -”
.....
“Straight to the point.” I interrupted.
“Did you really meet that nasty creature?” Kunti asked hastily.
I arched my eyebrows. “The one within Amanda?”
“Is that the poor woman’s name?” I nodded. “A very good name for a vile creature.” She scoffed in disgust.
“I’ve met them, but I couldn’t see the creature’s true form. I could only see black shadow, a pair of eyes, and lips.”
“That’s good enough. You’ll either feel disgusted or scared if you see her true form. That’s what you got if you’re evil.” Kunti sneered.
“Oh, I thought you’re evil, too.” Of course, I was just teasing her. There was no way this super friendly ghost in front of me was evil. She might be mischievous, but I was pretty sure she was not evil.
“How dare you!” Kunti shot me a disbelief look. Her wronged expression almost made me choke on my laughter. “I’m a decent ghost! I have never EVER done evil deed during my life as a ghost!” She protested fiercely, but somehow in an adorable way.
It was a good thing she protested like that in her beautiful form, and not with her scary form. If not, I was sure I would have fainted because of feeling more traumatic than before.
“Are you sure?” Taking a long glance at her teasingly, I noticed she still had that wronged expression on her face. “Don’t you always scare people away sometimes?” I pointed out what she was best at.
“...I do.” She replied weakly. “But, that’s it! I have never hurt people before, I swear! I only need to scare them because that’s how I earn my power.” She hastily defended herself.
“Okay. I believe you.” I nodded to her. “So, you said the one with Amanda was evil. How evil is she exactly?” I changed the topic quickly before Kunti had a change of mind and decided to get back at me by changing her form.
“Her source of power is the darkness inside the human.” Kunti’s face turned serious.
I was about to ask more since it picked my curiousity, but my ears which were still plugged by my headset caught a voice. It was not the voice that made me shut my mouth, rather, it was what it said.
“See? She is talking by herself again. I’ve told you she is crazy.”
My eyebrows were raised in surprised. I turned my head to the source of the voice and saw two girls of my class were eyeing me with a pity look in their eyes.
Excuse me?! Who is crazy here?
“She might hear you.” The other girl warned her.
“So, what? I bet she doesn’t understand a bit what I am saying. She might not know that the one I referred to is her.” The first girl shrugged her shoulders in nonchalant way.
“I’ll talk to you later.” I told Kunti, making it as if I had just finished calling someone. She nodded but she didn’t go away. Maybe she wanted to watch a good show.
I pulled out my headset and raised my head up. Tilting my head slightly, I met their eyes head on, smiling sweetly but my heart felt the chill.
As my eyes scanned the situation around us, I strongly believed that they were talking about me. After all, it was just the three of us in this corridor.
“Widya, Anita, hey. How are you?” I called out to them.
The two of them looked startled. It was obvious that they did something bad; in this case, badmouthing me behind my back.
“W-we’re good.” Anita nearly stammered as she answered.
“Good.” I nodded my head. “Ah, I suddenly remember about Senior Rizal. I remember seeing a pink letter on his desk when we were still dating. He said someone had been putting the letter on his desk every Friday or Saturday. I wonder what happened to her now that Senior Rizal was married.” I spoke a bit louder, intentionally saying it out loud.
“Should I get those campus news guys to interview this person?”
A loud thud was reverberating through the corridor. I took a lazy glance at them and saw Widya was picking up a thick book from the floor. She looked so flustered, but that’s what I was aiming for!
