Chapter 78: The Uninvited Guest (2)

“It’s you.”

I coldly stated. There was no reason for me to act warm and friendly to her. The last time she met me was when she asked me to stay away from Senior Rizal.

What did she want now?

The one who was standing in front of me was Senior Rizal’s true wife, not Amanda, but the creature who possessed Amanda for years. This thing was the true wife of Senior Rizal.

The black shadow I saw just now was also this thing. Even though it was in Amanda’s form, I could see the difference just from one look.

Amanda was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

This thing, on the other hand, even though it copied her enviable body, it couldn’t copy her elegance and human aura.

.....

In my eyes, it looked dark and empty, with stiff face and bad standing posture. The difference between this thing with Amanda was like Heaven and Hell.

It didn’t take much time for Tom and Sanji to catch up with me. Both of them were right in time to hear its creepy laughter with menacing glare being shot at me. Its body was exuding danger, as if it was getting ready to pounce on me, to hurt me.

As soon as they heard its laughter, Sanji jumped in front of me, putting me behind his sturdy back. At the same time, Tom rushed towards the uninvited guest, but he failed as it moved so fast, dodging his advance on it.

“Hahahahahahaha!”

Its laughter grew louder and I was sure we were not the only ones who could hear it; especially with how terrifying its aura was. The shrieks and loud noise from the first floor were the proofs of my guess.

“What do you want?” I frowned in displeasure.

This thing came only to create chaos here?

“I guess you still remember me, huh?” It said, still floating near my balcony.

I recognized this voice. It was indeed the same voice that overlapped with Amanda’s voice that day.

“I believe we have nothing to say to each other, do we?”

“You know it?” Sanji turned his face a bit until his side profile was seen from my point of view.

I knew it was not the time to admire his pointed nose, sharp and thick eyebrows, as well as refine jaw, but I couldn’t help it!

“Jane?” Sanji’s thick eyebrows frowned as he didn’t hear my answer.

I hastily cursed myself inwardly to get distracted for a second before I said my answer. “I do.”

“Hm?” Sanji arched his eyebrow, silently asking me more about it.

But, I felt uncomfortable telling him that this entity was Senior Rizal’s wife. How could I explain that to him?

“Don’t ask anymore. It’s complicated.” I shook my head, refused to talk more.

“So, he left you because of this thing?” Surprisingly, Tom said it in sarcastic tone.

I knew I had told him about my encounter with Amanda, but I had no idea where he got the idea that this thing was the one who failed to provoke me.

“I think he is still oblivious to its presence.” I said as I rubbed the area between my eyes.

After I responded on Tom’s remark, I could faintly feel Sanji’s back emitted cold aura. I thought he felt unhappy that he was the only one who didn’t know the situation, but I didn’t want to dwell on this matter for long.

“You came to replace me, you must have a good a reason. Now tell me.” I looked up at the creepy thing. I still had no idea what kind of ghost was it.

It grinned even wider, creating a hideous appearance with Amanda’s face. Truly not a sight to see.

“I want to get rid of you, once and for all.” It said. Its eyes exposed its malicious intent towards me, and I couldn’t help but shiver lightly.

“I don’t think we have a grudge towards each other.” I frowned in confusion.

I haven’t even met Senior Rizal after that day, but now this thing suddenly threatened me with my life.

“You have no idea how many of us want you dead!” As it said so, it shot towards me without any hesitation.

Even though I’ve prepared for it, I still couldn’t react fast. Fortunately, Sanji was still in front of me, blocking its attack and at the same time assisting Tom who was in charge of doing the attack.

I felt useless as I watched how epic the battle in front of me was. It was my first time I saw Tom in a fight and it was almost as brutal and fantastic as how human would fight. Sanji, who was still standing in front of me, was focusing himself in defense.

If one would ask me how they fought, well, it was almost the same with how human fought. Only, it was soul fighting and the consequences were more dangerous than physical brawl. Ah, there was also no going soft against female. I could see Tom was going all out in fighting this thing.

As for me, I was fully protected with how these men acted. But, I knew I shouldn’t just keep quite. What could I do to help?

“Foolish spirit! Why do you help her? Don’t you know her blood can help you to strengthen your soul? I need her blood to stabilize the baby in my stomach!” It roared angrily as its attack was easily fend off by Tom.

Well, that’s new! I didn’t know my blood was that good.
