Chapter 23: Kelly Leaves Savage & The Club

I called the person and they said it was a one-bedroom furnished apartment.

Water and electricity were included in the rent of $300.00 a month.

I scheduled to see it after work. I still had 450.00 left. There was also a grocery store one block away. It would be perfect for me. I heard a knock at the door, and someone tells me they brought me dinner.

I do not want it but thank you anyway. I watched as the prospect came back carrying the tray of food. She said she was not hungry. She did not eat lunch today either.

When I went to bed Kelly was already asleep. When I woke up, she was gone. It was my first day of work. When I walked out of the club door there was a car in front with keys and a note stating to drive this to work.

I was introduced to the workers there. Animal showed me how to schedule and I watched as he walked back to his area. I was kept busy all day when Elizabeth walked in with a sack.

What is that? A sandwich. I do not want it. I am not hungry. You need to eat Kelly. I ate a big breakfast I said lying to her. She went back to talk to Animal and then she left.

We closed the office and I told Animal I would be at the club in a bit. I walked across the street and opened the door of the apartment building and walked up the stairs.

The door to the apartment was opened and I saw a woman standing there. Hi, my name is Kelly. We shook hands and I looked around the apartment.

I will take it I said. I paid her the first month's rent and took the keys from her. I then drove back to the club and walked straight to Savage's bedroom.

I took my clothes out of the dresser and placed them into a sack. I hung up the cut

in the closet and put the phone he bought me in the table next to his side of the bed.

I took a shower and went to bed. I was gone the next morning along with my clothes. I left 30 minutes early so that I could take my clothes up to the apartment before driving the car and parking it behind the tattoo shop.

I walked in and told Animal that he can have someone get the car and where it was parked. I will not need it anymore. Why not he asked? I am renting an apartment across the street. I walked up front and sat down. I answered the phone all day and scheduled appointments.

It was quiet and I heard a few members talking to Animal. She lost the sparkle in her eyes and she is losing the weight she cannot afford to lose Animal.

What the hell did Savage do? Not my place to say he said. After we closed, I walked down the street to the store. I bought a few items and carried them to my apartment.

I was sitting at the VIP table when Animal walked in. I watched as he grabbed a beer and sat down. Have you seen Kelly I asked? She is not back from work.

She is not coming back here Savage I said looking at him with anger. What do you mean she is not coming back to the club? She got an apartment of her own.

Why? You know why so do not ask. Where is her apartment? I do not know. To be honest Savage I do not know what shit you pulled to get her to accept your claim, but I do know you pulled a fast one on her.

I also know that she has been through some shit and most likely you are involved somehow for some of it and you felt honor-bound to protect her but did you have to go so far as to claim her. I almost forgot.

Here she asked me to give this to you. She said something about giving it to your girlfriend. Elizabeth walked in the door grinning like a cat. She was holding a newspaper in her hand. Hey guys what you doing?

I thought you might like to replace this interesting Savage I said throwing the paper on

to the middle of the table. That bitch is trying to use you again. Only this time she wants to involve the club.

What is this Berserk asked looking at it? Let me be the one to read it to you. Mrs. Laura Wingard the wife of Governor Wingard from West Virginia is visiting her hometown this week.

Mrs. Wingard is hoping to start speaking with members of the Wild Wolf MC to become involved in doing a ride for her husband's' campaign. And by the way, we want to congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Wingard on the birth of their child.

I am not involving my MC in any scheme she has in mind. Let her use the MC's in her own state. Just then the door opened and guess who walks in. Well, now I wonder if Savage told her that he had just claimed Kelly?
