Chapter 30: Kelly Wakes Up

I looked up and saw Elizabeth and Animal. I suppose Berserk told you we got her apartment all cleaned out. And he gave you the engagement ring she asked?

Berserk and I talked. What about? If she does not wake up, we are bringing her home. We are going to hire round the clock nursing care for Kelly. I refuse to place her in a nursing home.

I understand Savage. We will all back you up. We talked for another two hours before she stood up and kissed her cheek and then told Kelly to wake up so they can talk.

I reached for the cup of coffee she brought me and took a drink. I picked up the book and started reading to Kelly again. I got to chapter 25 when I closed the book and laid my head against the chair.

I was sleeping very deeply and did not notice that Kelly had opened her eyes. I looked around me and wondered where I was. I saw the door open and someone walked over to the bed.

You are finally awake. Where am I? The hospital. You have been here for two weeks now. How did I get here? The rescue squad brought you in. What happened to me?

You were attacked. I do not remember. Do you remember your name? Sure, I do. My name is, I stopped and looked at her. I do not know my name.

Your name is Kelly. Do you remember that man sitting next to you sleeping? I stared at him and said. He looks familiar but I do not remember him. He is your husband. They call him Savage.

I looked down at my hand and the nurse said this is an incredibly beautiful ring that he bought for you. He must love you a lot to spend that kind of money on your ring. On top of that, he is very handsome.

Do you remember that he is in a motorcycle club called the Wild Wolf MC? I started crying. I do not remember any of that. It is alright it might come back to you in time.

I watched as she left the room. I slowly opened my eyes and turned to look at Kelly. I sat up straight. You are awake. I missed looking into those beautiful blue eyes.

I looked into his green eyes. I had a flashback and asked him. I have looked into your eyes before. Many times, I said to her. I remember you once saying to me "Green eyes nobody asked for your opinion."

Once, before I asked you to be my woman and to marry me legally. I do not remember any of that. The door opened I heard a woman yell you are awake.

And she ran over and hugged me. I thought you were going to sleep forever. Elizabeth do not jump on Kelly she is still recovering I heard.

I looked over and saw another really tall good-looking biker. I know him but from where. I know you but I forgot where I know you from.

I am Animal, the enforcer of the Wild Wolf MC and owner of the tattoo shop. You work for me as my receptionist. The door opened again, and another man walked in.

Just as tall as Animal and just as good looking and muscled. He walked over and kissed my forehead. I looked into his eyes and said Berserk?

What the hell I heard the man say next to me. She remembers you, sort of remember Animal but she does not remember me. What happened to me Berserk?

He said I was assaulted. Kelly, you were attacked behind the tattoo shop. If a man who was walking had not heard, you scream it would have been so much worse.

I do not remember any of that. The last thing I remember is getting out of the car with my beer and walking down the alley then nothing.

Berserk, he said he is my husband. Is it true? It is true. Savage here is the request you made of me I said handing him the box. I watched as Berserk handed Savage the box. I had a flashback then it left.

Animal and I went to the police department to see if we could get your cut back. We looked at it and decided that we would get you a new one.

After all, they were going to need your first one as evidence against the man who attacked you. So, I decided to get you another one because we do not know how long they would keep it.

I opened the box and took her cut out and held it up for her to see. Again, a flashback. I shoved it in the back of my mind. The door opened again, and the doctor walked in.

Well, it is good to see you awake Kelly. What happened to me doctor I asked. He looked at the chart and told me everything. You believe that the man that attacked me, was trying to kill me or at the least keep me from having children in the future?

Why would he do that? Who would want to kill me or make it so I would never be able to have children? We do not know. The police will want to talk to you later once they hear you are awake. I can not tell them anything.
