While Nadia was checking the premises for rent she received a call.

“Good morning, are you Nadia Espinosa”.

“Yes it’s me, who’s asking.”

“I’m Doctor Francisco Romero, I was the one in charge of your mother’s operation, he called to inform you that the operation was a success and she is adjusting to the heart transplant, so far there are no signs of rejection.”

Nadia was stunned when she heard that, her mother had been on the waiting list for a heart transplant for years, but she didn’t have the money for the operation and besides her mother was far from her turn.

“But how did this happen? Who paid for the operation? How is this possible?” thick tears ran down her cheeks as she still in disbelief could not believe the miracle that had happened.

“I have no information about it, but I heard that a young and elegant girl had been in charge of everything”.

“Thank you very much doctor, I’ll be right over to the hospital to visit my mother.”

After hanging up the call Nadia drove to the villa, she was sure it had been Sara, since she did not know any other beautiful and young girl who had so much money to pay for the operation and advance the process. She ran to Sara’s studio where she found her sitting in front of her computer absorbed in her work.

“Ma’am, sorry I didn’t knock before I came in, but I was in a hurry, was it you?

You paid for my mother’s operation?”

“Yes, it was me, after I checked up on you I knew your mother was serious and considering you are a filial daughter I knew she would be your Achilles heel. Right now I just released you Nadia, I know Hugo bribed you to spy on me, you accepted it to help your mother, but she is fine now, I am giving you two options right now, you can simply resign and look for another job away from all this trouble between Hugo and me, or you can stay and be loyal to me, I need someone by my side to help me in this task, and I would like it to be you.”

“Why me?” asked Nadia incredulously still unable to believe everything that was happening.

“Because I believe in you, I have seen you work, I know you are good at what you do, you are smart and outstanding, at first I had my doubts about you, due to the fact that you were hired by Hugo, but I want to give you a chance, I want to believe and trust you. So what do you say to me.”

“I agreed to be loyal to you ma’am, I promise I will never betray you and I will dedicate my life to repay you for what you did for my mother. I would like to know how he got it, my mother was far down the waiting list.”

“Nothing difficult, a small donation to the hospital and it was enough to turn up a compatible and ready heart for your mother. Now I’d like to know what you told Hugo and what he ordered you.”

Nadia blushed with embarrassment for a few seconds and then told Sara everything to atone for her guilt.

“I told him that you already have a chef and you are looking for premises, he asked me to give you the farthest out of town and the most expensive ones, that none of them were profitable to keep a business.”

Sara kept silent regretting for having married such a horrible and miserable man. She wasn’t even capable of having a fair fight.

“The truth is that I had lied to you because I knew you would go to talk to Hugo, I don’t want to rent any premises, I already bought one and I am remodeling it. In less than 1 month it will be ready.”

Nadia didn’t know what to say, she had never imagined that Sara could be so smart and always be two steps ahead of Hugo, she was to be admired.

Sara was two years younger than Nadia, but her maturity and intellect were far superior, she would definitely not lose to Hugo. Nadia was sure that she had chosen the winning side.
