Pokemon: Master of tactics -
Chapter 380
Chapter 380
Alex's team members in the end couldn't really bring Alex new ideas. He has to come up with his own strategy.
He then looked at Lucas's map with a suspicious expression. 'F*ck now I'm not even sure if this map is real or some fantasy shit map.'
The map looks like any other map and unless Alex has tested if this map is fake or not, he cannot trust this map.
Alex first wanted to test whether this map is at least partially real before he does anything else.
He chose a random Area and then test whether the information from the map conformed with the details of the Area.
If the information about this random Area is real then Alex can safely assume that the rest of the map is probably real as well.
at least the chance is higher that there is more real information on this map than wrong ones.
Alex decides to test Arena 4.
Area 4 #
Danger level: Orange
Pokemon leader: High Elite Scyther
Rare Pokemon: Scyther, ???
Rare items: Pecha Berry. ???
Alex looked at his team as he said, "Follow me." then he had Crobat carry him so he and his team could move faster.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have a Pokemon that can genuinely comfortably carry him on the ground.
Bastiodon is relatively small and sitting on his back is for Alex extremely painful.
Maybe the best option is Blaziken who could carry him like a princess while she runs or Zweilous who is even bigger than Bastiodon and whose back is not so uncomfortable.
but Alex would rather be carried by Crobat than use those other two options. Especially the Blaziken option. he will definitely not choose this option.
How are his subordinates supposed to respect him when he's carried by his Pokemon in such a weird way?
Daniel was carried by Drapion and the other two by their Flying type Pokemon like Alex.
Alex "flew" through this forest and saw many Pokemon.
When he looked at the information about these Pokemon, he realized that this island is really special.
The Pokemon with the worst potential he had seen had bronze potential and there were a good number of Pokemon with silver potential.
Although that doesn't sound very impressive, Alex understood how good the average potential is on this island when he saw it.
Seeing so many Pokemon with silver potential at low levels is really unusual.
Alex has never been in an area with better low-level Pokemon.
'Hmm, this island is too weird. There must be a reason why so many talented Pokemon are born on it.'
Alex considered a few possible reasons.
The reason most likely, in Alex's estimation, is that this island belonged, or still belongs, to a full-blood legendary Pokemon. the latter is more likely.
Some full-blood legendary Pokemon should have the ability to passively slightly enhance the potential of untalented Pokemon near them. (over a long time)
Alex has read many books on this topic and also talked a lot with Professor Wälhder about it and he knew that there is a theory that this is an ability of some full-blood legendary Pokemon.
Although not officially confirmed, this theory is supported by many professors and is at least not unlikely to be true.
Alex who had this thought asked himself which full-blood legendary Pokemon are on this island.
He wanted to see such a God-like Pokemon to see how strong a full-blood legendary Pokemon actually is.
Even though he had that idea, he wasn't really going to be looking for a full-blood legendary Pokemon.
low-level Champion level Pokemon are pushovers in front of even a weak full-blood legendary Pokemon.
Alex only has to look at the result of the only recorded full-blood legendary Pokemon fight.
multiple champion level pokemon + many elite level pokemon could not defeat a "weak" full-blood legendary pokemon.
Although this record is inconclusive and it's not clear what happened in the end, Alex didn't believe that it was necessarily a happy ending for the humans if the "remains" of the full-blood legendary Pokemon regenerated faster than multiple champion-level Pokemon can do damage to an unconscious full blood legendary Pokemon.
Alex in particular understood human nature too well to think that humans came as the winner of this fight out.
If the Humans really did win that fight and it was really worth it for the Humans, why was there only this 1 fight in the whole history?
Alex didn't believe that human greed was so easy to suppress. unless the opponent is truthfully too powerful for almost all humans.
If Alex had to bet, he'd say the humans lost that battle and it was a horrible loss.
Such a destructive defeat that the humans never dare to attack a "god" again. even if it's just one of the weakest gods.
Of course, this is only Alex's guess and is purely speculative on Alex's part.
There could be all sorts of reasons why the humans stopped attacking the "gods".
Alex wanted to see a "god" like that for real but he really didn't want to die for it.
If he's unlucky he might run into a god who kills him instantly just for looking at it. Is that really possible? can this really happen?
Alex has no idea. He didn't know the character of any full-blood legendary Pokemon but he didn't want to test it.
As Alex's team moved through this forest, they encountered many Pokemon, all of which Alex looked at if he can.
He wanted to see if he could replace a Born Deep Gold Pokemon like Zweilous.
Alex, doing this, felt a bit like he was looking for the jackpot in the lottery, but even if he "just" replaces a Born Gold or Born Shallow Gold Pokemon, that's still a good second prize.
Although he didn't know what potential a Pokemon was born with, Alex can roughly estimate that a Pokemon at a low level most likely hasn't consumed good-enough Pokemon or items to improve its potential.
How can a level 15 Born Shallow Gold Pokemon replace such valuable items or other Pokemon corpses with S+ potential?
It is not impossible but rather unlikely. Especially if this Pokemon has no mother or father nearby.
Alex's effort was rewarded when he saw the information from a Pokemon.
