Rise of the Crusader
Chapter 100

100 Vertigo II

“The cops are here.”

Raphael moved his gaze downward when he heard Aliyah, and as he saw the cars that were rushing towards the factory, his lips curved inwardly.

“I will deal with the cops and inform the others about it. They need to hurry up, the vertigo is a must-have.” Aliyah said, and without any delay, she hurried out of the building.

While Raphael heard the urgency that was contained in Aliyah’s voice, he still didn’t move from where he was. He stood on top of the building with his hands folded across his chest.

He watched as Aliyah intercepted the cop’s car, and launched herself at them. Just like the others, Aliyah didn’t also let blood spill when she advanced toward them, she simply rendered them into an unconscious state.

“Raphael!!!!!!!” Aliyah yelled as she stared at Raphael.

With a smile on his face, Raphael brought a tool out of his ring. He aimed at the factory and then swung his hand at it.

The tool Raphael had brought out was more of a grappling hook, and once the hook stuck on one of the buildings close to the factory, he used it to ascend onto it.

Aliyah nodded her head, and she soon shifted her gaze to the cars that were coming toward her. She brought the usual twin dagger out and assumed a battle stance.

.....

“So much for, I don’t need your help,” Raphael said in a mocking tone.

While the people outside of the factory had already been cleared by Victor and the others, the inside of the factory was a sight to behold.

As Raphael walked into the factory, his eyes twitched and his mouth opened slightly. Though quality was always ahead of quantity, the saying wasn’t so in the battle in front of him.

Victor was being bombarded with all sorts of attacks from different directions, and he wasn’t able to use the pistols in his hands. He was occupied with eluding the attacks that were coming toward him that he wasn’t able to let out his own attack.

“Y-You...” The instant Victor saw Raphael, he immediately called out to him.

“What are you standing there for... Help!” Victor yelled.

As Victor had to hold back from harming the people in the factory, he wasn’t able to go all out, and this led to his disadvantage. He needed to be careful when attacking them because of the rules that were given.

Raphael stared at Victor, who was running around the factory, and he shook his head.

“I’m afraid I can’t help. I wouldn’t want to disobey you in any way.” There was mockery evident in Raphael’s voice as he spoke.

Victor bit his lips hard as he knew Raphael was making fun of him. He wanted to dash toward Raphael, so the people might shift their attention toward him, but he wasn’t given enough space to move to the factory entrance.

“If anything happens to me, the academy won’t spare you,” Victor exclaimed.

And in response, Raphael nodded his head and then flashed a smile at Victor. “Then, you better don’t let anything happen to you.” With that said, and, Raphael moved away from the factory.

“I will make you pay for this!!!” Victor’s loud voice rang out.

Raphael had heard the threat that Victor, but that didn’t make him turn around and chose to help him. Even if the academy themselves were to instruct Raphael to assist Victor, he still wouldn’t help him.

As Gus let out a screech, Raphael spoke, “I know, even I am just as disappointed.”

“Well, I guess, it’s because my expectation for them was a little high. The battle with the norms division made me assume they were worth spending my time on, but they are not.” Raphael muttered.

There was a nod from Gus, and Raphael said, “Anyway, let’s get this mission over with.”

Raphael soon arrived at the area where Enzo was. And as he saw the spectacle occurring there also, it made Raphael understand why the academy had insisted that there mustn’t be bloodshed in this mission.

“They really can’t handle a mission without killing anyone.” Raphael blurted.

Among the students in the bandit’s division that Raphael had seen so far, the person he considered to be a threat was Enzo. While Victor might be said to be the finest student among them all, Raphael felt Enzo was the strongest.

And that same Enzo was having trouble dealing with the people in the surrounding. It wasn’t that Enzo wasn’t able to take care of them, but instead, he didn’t seem to know how.

It all came down to the academy as Enzo didn’t want to obliterate any of them, so he had to limit the force in his attack. And because of this, Enzo was perhaps too soft on them.

“They are really helpless,” Raphael exclaimed.

Raphael had seen the bandit’s division fight against the norms of division, and it wasn’t as embarrassing as this. Against the people in the factory, the bandit’s division didn’t seem to know what they were doing.

To Raphael, the academy must want to assess the bandit’s division. The bandits fought to kill, every task they operated, they had always left blood all around the place, and it must be why the academy decided to instruct them not to kill anyone.

Clearly, the academy also knew that the bandit’s division would have problems with the mission, and so they told the elite division to join hands with them.

“Vertigo,” Raphael mumbled.

While Raphael might act as though he wasn’t concerned about the mission, the truth was he was. He had assumed that the bandit’s division was capable of handling it as they boasted stupendously, but after seeing the awful shape they were in, he knew he had to make a move.

Raphael waved his hands and two boomerangs appeared. He then threw it out immediately and dashed forward.

“Gus, keep an eye on vertigo. Don’t let any of them out of your sight.”

Vertigo was a drug that comes in pills that are sometimes green and black, and sometimes they exist in a green liquid.

it was a deadly narcotic that rendered its user into a disoriented state, and for some reason the academy wanted it.

BANG!

When facing the people in the factory, Raphael didn’t pull off his gloves, and he fought them with the gloves on. Unlike the trio from the bandit division, Raphael was able to deal with them without any problem whatsoever.

He was rather very quick with them, and with the boomerang all over the place, there were only a couple of them left.

Suddenly, a car appeared close to the factory, and as the window was rolled down, Dwayne was in the front seat. He soon pushed the door open and said.

“I have vertigo, take the rest, and let’s move.”

Raphael nodded his head, he called the boomerangs back and hurried towards the boxes a few meters away from him. He placed his hands on the boxes and as the twelve of them disappeared, Raphael moved away.

While Enzo found it difficult to fight against the people in the area, they also weren’t able to lift a finger on his body.

And when Enzo saw the boxes disappear all of a sudden, he couldn’t help but be startled. The plaque mask that he had on hid most of his expression, but the wrinkles that appeared on his forehead, and his eyebrows that were drawn together inferred that he was confused.

Dwayne drove the car closer to Raphael and Raphael wasted no time, he rushed into the car.

Dwayne had questions to ask as he had also seen the boxes disappear, but he chose to keep quiet. He was about to turn the car around when a loud voice rang out.

“Hey... Wait!!!!!!”

As Dwayne stared at the front mirror, he saw Victor and Juliana. The both of them placed their hands on the other shoulder and walked forward at a rather slow pace.

BEEP!

Whether it was Victor or Juliana, both of them were in a disoriented state. Victor’s face was swollen a little and the clothes he was wearing were torn.

Juliana wasn’t doing too well herself, as blood could be seen oozing from her mouth. Her clothes were also torn, and her cleavage and those shapely long legs were on display.

The both of them staggered forward, and it was only after Enzo grabbed both of them that they arrived at the car quickly. Enzo threw the both of them into the car and shook his head.

“One of the hero academies has been monitoring this place for quite some time, and Aliyah just spotted them coming to the factory,” Dwayne said as he drove the car.

Meanwhile, a bone-chilling smile was on Victor’s face, “We didn’t need you people’s help, we could have handled it ourselves. Don’t think we will share the rewards together.”

“Never!!” Victor blurted.

Raphael stared at Victor who was at the back, he chuckled and was about to speak when a car appeared in front of them.
