Rise of the Crusader
Chapter 133

133 Almond Ederson

Thud!

Followed by that sound was a loud voice echoing in the surrounding.

“Again!!!!” The man yelled at the students laying on the ground.

With rage and yet pain written all over his face, Levi stood from the floor with his hand balled into a fist. He stared at the new instructor in front of him, and a tinge of killing intent appeared on his face.

Seeing the look on Levi’s face, the man sneered, “Good, now give it your best shot and stop acting like a sissy.” The man exclaimed.

“Sissy?” Levi mumbled the name that he had just called.

He then moved towards the man at a frightening pace.

Possessing the power to kill anyone with just a slight contact with the body, Levi wasn’t a force to be reckoned with. He simply needed to make contact with the man in front of him, and it was game over.

However, before Levi would appear in front of him, the man made a move. And if Levi’s movement could be termed as astounding, his would be considered horrifying.

.....

Bang!

Levi had no idea what was going on, and before he even realized it, he was struck multiple times.

There was no remorse or pity from the man, he was up against, and there was no part of his body that wasn’t covered in blood. The attacks caused him to stagger backward, and as he stared at himself, his mouth opened slightly.

“I...”

Levi stuttered with his hand then trembling, he stared at his clothes that were drenched in his own blood before moving his gaze towards the man in front.

A mocking expression and a bit of disgust were however on the man’s face. He looked at Levi for a few seconds, and after a brief moment, he turned towards the students who were watching from the distance.

After the date of the academy, the tournament was released to the students, the seven divisions began making preparation. And one of that preparation was the man in front of the students.

His name is Almond Ederson, and he’s one of the top fighters in the seven divisions.

“Is this is the so-called elite division,” Almond exclaimed. “I must say, you’re all useless. Absolutely useless!!”

“I have spared with several students in the academy, but you really outshine the rest. You outshine them by being complete shit.” Almond said, “Even my grandmother can fight better than this and by the way, she is dead.”

A couple of the students stared at themselves from head to toe when they heard Almond. He had covered each one of them with blood, and some with broken teeth.

Yet, he referred to the beatdown as nothing but a spar.

If this was a real fight, how was it going to end up then? The students couldn’t help but wonder.

“It’s a good thing that I came, or else you would have ridiculed the elite division with this performance. Pathetic!” Almond spat with disgust evident in his eyes.

A day after the psychic domain training, the students were ordered to come to the alley.

With then a brief introduction from Almond, the battle started. It was however a one-sided battle with Almond, to be more precise, a total beat down.

None of them were able to scratch the surface of Almond’s defense, not to talk of landing a successful blow on him.

“We have the whole day for this, and I can assure you that, you won’t be leaving this place until I’m satisfied with the progress you’ve made,” Almond muttered and waved his hand at the students in front.

However, he soon lowered his head, and said, “You know what, since the academy grouped you into seven teams, why don’t each team come at him.”

“Let’s start from here, since coming one after the other clearly isn’t working.”

When they all heard Almond, they couldn’t help but glance at their teammates, and afterward, a bone-chilling smile hung on a few of their faces.

Though Almond saw the change in expression on their faces, he wasn’t even in the slightest worried. The only reason he made the team suggestion was to see how well they worked as a group, and also the battle was becoming embarrassing.

Donned in a long white robe, Almond’s eyes were constantly narrowed to slits. He rarely opened his eyes enough to reveal their emerald green color.

He was tall with sharp features and bears unusual silver hair. And as he stared at Mason, Becky, and Melinda that had just walked to the front, the usual mocking smile formed on his face.

“Don’t disappoint me as you did earlier.” Almond blurted.

His words, however, were frowned upon by Melinda. She created bones made of blades from her body, and without delay, she launched at Almond.

As for Mason, after Almond spoke, it took only a light crack of his knuckles and he turned into a giant.

Almond glanced at Mason who had just turned into a titan and then Melinda who was rushing towards him. He raised his hand gently, forming a fist.

“This will test how determined you really are.”

With that said, and Almond struck out a punch at three of them.

Melinda was rushing towards Almond when he struck a punch towards her. She abruptly stopped as she felt an impending danger, she slowly raised her head towards the silver-haired man in front and her eyelid trembled.

It was just one strike, but the damage that it caused was unimaginable. Almond’s attack caused a split on the ground as it approached Melinda.

Death flashed within Melinda’s eyes, and if there was one thing she was certain of, it was if that blow were to hit her, she would be obliterated.

“Melinda, move!!!” Elisa yelled.

Melinda’s hands shook, she wanted to move from where she was, but she found herself incapable of moving

a muscle.

With only a few seconds away from the attack to come in contact with her, Mason grabbed her quickly and jumped to the other side.

“Are you alright?” Mason asked in a soft tone.

While Melinda was still terrified of what had just transpired, she nodded her head when Mason spoke.

Mason responded with a smile, he moved his gaze from Elisa and was about to turn towards Almond when a figure appeared.

The appearance of Almond in front of him caught Mason surprised, and before he could react, his head was grabbed and then pushed backward.

Bang!

Almond slammed Mason to the floor. And as the thirteen-meter-tall giant hit the floor, Almond didn’t stop at that, he raised his leg, and heavily stomped it on Mason’s face.

Mason transformed into his human self immediately, he lay on the floor, gasping heavily. Not only was his face covered in blood, but it was also in a disoriented state.

Almond sneered, as he stared at Melinda, who was beside Melinda. He took a light step until he was standing in front of her.

“Die!!!”

Almond had only appeared in front of Melinda when a loud voice rang out behind him. He didn’t react quickly, and as the sharp paper-made sword drove through his chest, his eyes were still on Melinda.

It was only when the sword appeared on the other side of his body, that he stared at it. After a few seconds, he moved his eyes away from the sword and turn towards the person who had just stabbed him.

“Y-”

Meanwhile, Becky stammered with fear written all over her face. She, however, didn’t let the fear get over her, and with the sword in her right hand, she punctured it deep into Almond’s chest.

The reaction that came from Almond after she plunged both swords into his chest wasn’t what Becky expected.

There was no blood coming from the place that had just been stabbed, or sign of concern or panic on Almond’s face. He grabbed both of the swords and pulled them out of his body.

Beck’s mouth opened wide, and she staggered several steps backward. It wasn’t simply the sight of the sword being removed, instead, it was seeing the hole that was formed by the sword closing up.

“I expect by now you should have made a research on every single metahuman in the academy, both allies, and foe,” Almond said.

He then took a step forward, directly appearing in front of Becky.

“I-” Becky stuttered as Almond held her tightly by the neck.

With a smirk on his face, Almond turned towards the others, “Because if you had made your research on who I am, then you might not end up in this miserable state.” He said.

He waved his hand and threw Becky a few meters away.

Thud!

Becky hit the ground and spat a mouthful amount of blood from her mouth.

“Sparing with you all is a complete waste of time. And as I also can’t let you go out there and embarrass my division, for the next five days we will be stuck with each other.” Almond said.

“As one of the top fighters in the fourth year, I will spend the next days teaching you all that I know.”

Almond glanced at the students in the surrounding, “The elite division isn’t for the weak, so I’m going to advise you, if you aren’t up for the task, back out. Because from henceforth it will be hell.”
