Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player -
Chapter 770 Return from Hell
Chapter 770 Return from Hell
In the blink of an eye, the souls of all those in Mibothen returned from hell. Hundreds of thousands, in fact millions of beams of light descended from the hole in the sky that only Kaizen was able to see. All these lights were the souls and bodies of those people.
The capital of Mibothen, which had previously been almost empty due to the countless casualties in the army that had invaded it to fight the demons, was suddenly filled with a staggering volume of people, both players and NPCs.
There wasn't a street that wasn't packed, and people even appeared on top of the rubble of the destroyed buildings.
And with the return of these millions of people, euphoria gripped the whole of the vast Human Kingdom.
In the streets, even strangers hugged each other, excited to be back, and together they began to celebrate and shout without a second thought. After all, they were back home.
The euphoria took hold not only in the capital that had risen from the ashes. The warmth of the hugs and the intensity of the shouts of joy echoed through the streets, mixing with the irrepressible energy emanating from the crowd. Blood Lily, returning to Midgard, stood still for a moment after leaving the portal, observing the scene before her. With her eyes fixed on the horizon, she saw that sea of people and felt a mixture of relief and satisfaction at being able to witness the resurrection of the city and its inhabitants, only she wasn't just a witness, she was the big reason why everyone was back, and they all knew it because of Kaizen, who ascended into the sky and spread a psychic message to everyone. His new powers allowed him to do this.
So, when everyone saw the glow that the portal produced when the Bloody Lily returned, they began to call out her nickname.
"Bloody Lily! Bloody Lily! Bloody Lily! Bloody Lily!"
The cheers from the players and NPCs were deafening. And the news that Blood Lily had triumphed in Muspelheim spread like wildfire even across the web. This was a unique moment of celebration.
The heroine descended from the obelisk that formed a path to the portal, which soon closed, and passed through the crowded streets, greeting the hundreds of people who approached her with grateful smiles. Quickly, the Tanks of the Sentinel Guild formed a human corridor to help her through and replace her friends.
Some people offered words of thanks, others simply held out their hands so that she could at least touch them to make them feel happy, but most of them showed much more respect than Bloody Lily could have imagined and began to kneel before her.
Thus, Bloody Lily began to feel the weight on her shoulders of what she had managed to do.
Crossing all this way, she managed to reach a makeshift camp in the middle of the crater where the capitol used to be. The site was still a pile of rubble, but people had gathered there to recover and help each other. So, while this camp seemed sudden to Bloody Lily, for the other players who took part in the war it wasn't so quick to build, after all, Bloody Lily had been in Mibothen for almost two hours.
Right at the entrance to the camp, she saw four familiar faces: Fryft, Zylok, Xisrith and Andrew. They were being healed by some mages in a large tent.
Everyone was badly injured and she didn't want to get in the way of their healing process, so she nodded gratefully, acknowledging everyone's efforts to help her reach the portal. The city was alive again, full of life, of hope, and that was certainly down to all those who had fought.
While the celebration continued in the streets, it was no different in the camp. The warriors were more than happy to have come away with victory, even in the face of improbable odds.
The news of the return of all those who were in Mibothen spread like wildfire throughout Midgard in no time. The narrow streets of big cities like Holinda and the great halls of Adventurers' Associations all over the world were flooded with a wave of joy and relief. Despite everything, everyone was afraid when something as big and desperate as this happened. Tears of sadness gave way to tears of happiness as celebration spread.
In the rubble of the city, the workers and craftsmen began to gather to begin the arduous task of rebuilding and, this time, the players would help. This would be the first time that players could build a city almost from scratch in Rise Online. The sound of hammers hitting and saws cutting echoed through the streets, mingling with the laughter and songs of those celebrating. Rebuilding Mibothen had become not just a physical task, but a symbol of hope and resilience for all the inhabitants, as well as a great opportunity for an avalanche of missions.
The sky, which had previously been filled with darkness, began to lighten, revealing a clear blue sky. The morning sun shone brightly, as if celebrating the victory of those who had returned from the abyss.
Walking through the camp, Bloody Lily was reunited with several of her friends, and although she had previously had the feeling that she would feel a little uncomfortable looking at her friends, after everything she had seen and heard in hell, in fact all this foreboding was expelled from her heart when Araxie hugged her very tightly.
"Oh, Emma!!! You're back for good!!!" Araxie shouted, crushing Bloody Lily with her colossal strength.
Araxie's unusual reaction, which was usually quite serious, made all the Crimson Soldiers laugh.
Dathan approached while Araxie was drying the tears from her face, put a hand on her waist and said with his off-putting smile:
"Looks like everyone in Mibothen owes you a lot, Captain. Let me know when we start calling in the favors."
Eraskan slapped Dathan weakly on the back, as if scolding him. "I know why you want to call in favors. Do you think girls will think you're cooler if you look like a badboy instead of a K-pop singer?" He crossed his arms and then looked at Bloody Lily. "By the way, it's good to see you well, Emma. I'm glad you're back."
Bloody Lily looked at everyone, her eyes shining, and said:
"No, I'm the one who should be thanking you. If it hadn't been for you, none of this would have been possible... Thank you, really."
"Oh come on guys! Don't be so cute! I'll cry!" Klank said.
Hearing that voice, Bloody Lily widened her eyes and looked back. Then, when she saw the green-haired, red-eyed boy with his sword sheathed behind him and realized that it was Klank, she hugged him with all the strength she had left.
"You're back..." She murmured.
Klank was surprised for a moment, but returned the gesture. "Thanks to you and Kaizen... Thank you, Captain." He replied.
