Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player
Chapter 902: The Big Decision

Kaizen stared at the floating screen, the blue glow of the words contrasting with the darkness that surrounded him. Each option seemed to weigh tons, and the responsibility he felt pressed down like a mountain on his shoulders. He knew that every decision he made would have repercussions not only on his life, but on the lives of those he loved most and the players of Rise Online too.

"I have to do this. I can't abandon them," Kaizen muttered to himself, determination growing in his heart. "Emma, Andrew, Xisrith and Jayaa will be able to be reborn when they die, but the same won't happen with Alina and Og'tharoz. Besides, I'm the one who agreed to bring them here."

He clenched his fists, anger turning into a burning energy inside him.

"You chose, then?" Charles asked, watching Kaizen intently.

Kaizen took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes, I choose to fight. I choose to kill Surtr."

Charles gave a small smile, a mixture of sadness and pride. "Then so be it."

Kaizen felt a wave of power run through his body, an overwhelming force that seemed to awaken within him.

The world around him began to spin, the darkness turning into colors and shapes distorting until they merged into an explosion of light. He closed his eyes, feeling himself being pulled by an invisible current.

When he opened his eyes again, Kaizen was back in the room where Surtr had taken him, but Surtr's flames were roaring around him with intense heat making the air shimmer. He could see his friends fighting desperately.

Blood Lily was on her knees, the bow still in her hands, but exhaustion evident on her face.

Og'tharoz roared as he struck frantic blows against the primordial god. He was being the team's Tank, even though he wasn't fit for such a position.

"Kaizen!" Alina shouted as she finally saw him move. She was standing next to Jayaa and Andrew, her hands glowing with healing light as she tried to keep them alive. "You're awake!"

Surtr turned around, her eyes burning like furnaces. "So, you've finally decided to join the party, mortal? That won't change your fate." He then punched Og'tharoz, sending him flying away.

Kaizen raised his hand, feeling the Psyker's power pulsing inside him. "I should have known you wouldn't keep your word."

Surtr laughed, a sound that reverberated like thunder. "Honestly, I had hoped that you would have failed my challenges. So I had to resort to this cheap distraction to divide and conquer."

"Then I'm sorry to say, your plan B didn't work out either." Kaizen said.

Then Kaizen focused his mind, channeling all his psychic power into a single point. Surtr's flames were intense, but Kaizen felt the strength inside him growing, his determination unbreakable. He closed his eyes for a moment, remembering Charles' words.

"This battle will test not only your skills, but also your heart and your will to protect those you love."

Kaizen opened his eyes, his vision clear and his purpose firm. He raised his hands, creating a force field that pushed Surtr back.

"Now's our chance!" Xisrith said, leaping towards Surtr.

Blood Lily stood up and she pulled an arrow from her bow, infusing it with her energy. "Kaizen, we need an opening!"

The primordial god roared in fury, and Bloody Lily fired the arrow that flew through the air with deadly accuracy to hit Surtr in the chest.

Surtr staggered, but didn't fall. "That won't be enough to defeat me, mortals!"

Claw'tharoz lunged forward, his claws gleaming with dark power. "Then we'll have to try one more time!" He attacked with ferocity, each blow an explosion of energy.

Kaizen felt the connection with his friends, their collective strength fueling his power. He knew this was his chance. "Alina, we need a containment spell! Jayaa, Andrew, cover us!"

Alina nodded, her hands beginning to glow with a golden light. "I'm ready."

Jayaa and Andrew, despite their wounds, positioned themselves next to Kaizen, ready.

"We're not going to let you do this alone, Kaizen," said Jayaa with a determined smile on her face.

Kaizen felt energy building up inside him, a force that seemed greater than he could have imagined. He focused all this energy on Surtr, launching a beam of pure psychic force. Surtr tried to resist, but the combination of Og'tharoz's attack, Bloody Lily's arrow and Alina's containment spell was enough to bring him to his knees.

"That strength..." Surtr muttered. "You're too much trouble!"

Surtr, the towering figure with fiery red hair and a menacing aura, rose with a powerful and deliberate movement. His muscles rippled beneath his fire armor, reflecting the glow of the flames that surrounded him. Surtr was ready, ready to conquer, ready to unleash his fiery wrath upon all who dared to challenge him.

Blood Lily, now standing, raised her bow again. The arrow she held glowed with an ethereal radiance, imbued with her own life energy.

"Kaizen, another opening!" she shouted.

Kaizen, focusing all her will, intensified the force field around Surtr. The primordial god tried to resist, but Kaizen's strength was too great.

"Now, Lily!" Kaizen replied, his voice firm.

Blood Lily released the arrow, which sliced through the air with a high-pitched whistle. It found its target with precision, embedding itself deep in Surtr's chest. The impact sent the god reeling, his flames faltering for a moment.

"You... will never... be able to... defeat me..." Surtr grunted, his words filled with hatred and disbelief.

"Maybe not alone, but together, we're stronger than you think," Kaizen replied, his gaze determined.

Surtr tried to get up, but suddenly Alina made magical chains appear and the constant pressure Kaizen put on him kept him on the ground.

Suddenly, a tremor ran through the ground, causing everyone to look around in alarm. Cracks began to form in the walls, and a sense of imminent danger filled the air.

"What are you doing?!" Og'tharoz shouted to Surtr.

"Do you think Surtr is alone?" Maelstrom suddenly appeared at Surtr's side and, with a wave of his hand, made Alina's chains explode. "The real battle is just beginning."

Kaizen raised his head and said, "No matter how many of you accumulate. Today Surtr will die."
