"You'll know shortly." Noelle took a look at everyone and noticed that among the entire Stewards, only Erick was still absent.

At this moment, Michael said somewhat impatiently, "Noelle, why did you call for a family meeting today? Everyone is busy right up to their noses, and if it isn't anything important, I think we should call it off."

"Yes, Elle, what exactly is going on?" Mason also spoke up.

"Dad, don't be anxious. Isn't there someone from our family who's still not here? Let's wait for a little more," Noelle said indifferently.

Michael subconsciously took a look at everyone, and it seemed that only Erick was absent. Could it be that Noelle calling for the family meeting had something to do with him?

Just at this moment, Erick swaggered in, saying, "Noelle, are you talking about me? Grandpa, Dad, I was a little delayed, so I arrived late."

Carter spoke. "Elle, since everyone is here, then let us begin."

Noelle nodded, and the originally bustling hall suddenly quietened down. Everyone could not help but look at Noelle and make guesses of her intentions.

"There's only one reason for gathering everyone here today and that's to clean up the family!" Noelle's tone was firm. Although she was young, she had some of the airs a head of family should possess.

Clean up the family?

Once her words left her mouth, the entire hall instantly broke out into a cacophony of discussion like they had ants in their pants.

"Everything's going fine, why is she trying to clean up the family? Who exactly did something wrong this time?"

"I really don't know which nerve this brat has that has gone haywire. The troubles of our family have yet to be solved, and now we are having internal conflict. Isn't this just replaceing more trouble for ourselves?"

"Noelle has never been an impulsive person all these years. Since she's said such words, there is definitely a reason behind it."

Just as everyone was discussing, Erick started to panic. He started to realize that the family meeting today was not as simple as he thought.

Lately, nothing major had happened in the Stewards, and no one had done anything overboard. Thinking about it in detail, there was only the matter last night.

Could it be that there were changes to the plan?

Thinking about this, Erick got up and said preemptively, "Grandpa, elders, I also have a matter that I have to bring up. The reason I came late was because I had just picked up a phone call from my friend. He told me that last night, Noelle went to a hotel to meet Garrett privately and did not come back out for the whole night. Just a man and a woman staying in the same room; Noelle and Garrett definitely had some improper relations. As the head of the Steward family, Noelle has shamed the entire family. She's not worthy to be the head of the family!"

Teena said with a furious expression, "Erick, my daughter is not the kind of person you're accusing her to be. Stop slandering Elle!"

"Aunt, you're saying that Noelle isn't that kind of person, but how can you prove it?" Erick sneered.

Mason responded with a snort, "Erick, you say that Elle went to see Garrett last night, do you have evidence?"

Erick pointed at Noelle and said, "Whether what I say is true or not, you all should ask her yourselves! Noelle, you have ruined the family's name and are shameless beyond words. You're the one who should be cleaned out!"

Who would have thought that even till this moment, Erick was still trying to take a bite out of Noelle? It was clear that Erick did not have the least bit of regret in regards to what he had done.

Noelle looked at Erick calmly, enjoying his performance. Without hard-fast evidence, Noelle would not have suddenly called for a family meeting, so she was not worried that the mad-dog Erick would successfully bite anyone.

"Elle, is what Erick said true?" Mason hurriedly asked Noelle. Erick was so open and direct, which made Mason's heartbeat jump all over the place.

"What nonsense are you talking about? How can our daughter be the kind of person he is accusing her of? I won't believe it even if you beat me up!" Teena said.

Laura sneered and mocked. "Only she herself is clear about whether or not she is a woman who has ruined our family reputation."

"Laura, if you dare to spout nonsense and slander my daughter's reputation, I'll fight you to the death!" Teena gritted her teeth as she looked at Laura. This woman was rotten right to the core. "You want to fight it out? I'll match you right to it! Do you think I'm afraid of you?" Laura snorted in disdain.

Seeing her mean expression, Teena's anger surged, and losing control of her feelings momentarily, her stance was as if she was about to pounce on Laura to scratch her.

Mason immediately held Teena back and said with a frown, "Can you please just stop for a bit?"

"Ha! Mason, well aren't you an accomplished man? Your daughter is being scolded by other people, yet you're still so quiet? I can really consider having seen through your true colors today. You're just a weakling!" Teena was angered beyond words.

Thud!

Just at this moment, the table being banged on suddenly rang out. The originally noisy conference hall immediately turned silent. Everyone turned to the source of the sound and finally saw Carter's livid expression.

"What are you all fighting about? Do you all wish for nothing more than the Stewards to scatter with deaths occurring?" Carter was angered.

Teena immediately said that it was not the case.

Laura saw that Carter was enraged, so she restrained her posture and finally shook her head.

It could be seen that although Carter was no longer the head of the family, his prestige among

the Stewards far surpassed Noelle as the head of the family.

"Noelle, tell me yourself, is what Erick said true?" Carter looked at Noelle in deep thought.

Hearing the name Mr. Williams, Erick shuddered. Noelle kept mum and was calm, leaving Erick thoroughly flustered. His terrified gaze landed on the door, and indeed it was Mr. Williams walking in fearfully.

"Director, I know I'm wrong. Please forgive me. It was Erick who ordered me to do it. He said that if I didn't do it he would kick me out of the company. So, I ..." Mr. Williams was abject as his thighs were shaking, and the sweat on his face was streaming faster than he could wipe it off.

"Shaun Williams, I don't know anything. You better not fucking slander me!" Erick panicked and went forward to grab Mr. William's collar, wishing he could smash his fist into his face.

Noelle raised her voice. "Erick, you better stop. Let him speak of what happened last night. Every single word without missing a single detail!"

"The matter is like this..." Shaun spoke of the matter as it was as he wiped off the sweat on his face and continued, "Director, I did not know at all that Erick wanted to deal with you. If I had known, even if I was given the guts of a hundred men, I would not dare put you in harm's way. Director, seeing how hard I have worked for the company, even if I had not accomplished much, I still put in a lot of effort, please give me another chance. Director, I beg of you."

"Return for now. When I've dealt with matters here, I'll seek you out." Noelle looked at the stunned Laura and asked with a smile, "Aunt, you heard it loud and clear.
