Speed Is King
Chapter 332 Green with jealousy

Elliot stared at the strangely beautiful white skinned elf in absolute shock.

Of all the things he expected her to do, offering him a chance to be her disciple was definitely something that he wouldn’t even imagine she would do.

Primal Lilian smiled at his stunned expression and waited patiently for him to process her question. Having faced the same question before, she understood his shock perfectly.

Although it wasn’t audible, Primal Alexander was sure that hundreds of jaws just dropped and smashed very violently onto the ground.

Just who was Primal Lilian?

She was definitely one of the most reclusive beings in the entire known universe. Even her fellow Primals found it extremely difficult to seek her out!

Lilian Harkless, the sole living disciple and heiress of Jerbo Harkless, who was a prominent Primal when he was still alive.

Jerbo Harkless had rescued Lilian when she was being kidnapped by a local warlord in one of the cities on one of his planets.

He was passing time undercover as a rich merchant on that planet when he heard a strange rumour being circulated there.

“Hey! I heard that the elven merchant family living near Double Swing Tavern has a magical daughter. Consuming even a drop of her blood could trigger mutations that could revert the consumer into a higher grade being!”

“What nonsense are you talking about? How could there be such a wonderful effect from merely consuming blood? Unlocking ancient genes within a bloodline is a highly complex endeavor that not even the most advanced empires are able to do!”

“You don’t believe me? You know old Jawtopa the apple seller? He accidentally ingested a single drop of her blood, and he underwent a mutation on the spot! He is now a powerful High Elf!”

“What? Impossible!”

“He’s right outside his apple stall now. Take a look if you don’t believe!”

Jerbo Harkless proceeded to investigate the rumour, and to his great shock, for once the rumours were true!

He knew Jawtopa the apple seller personally, and indeed, his bloodline had been upgraded!

Jerbo knew he had to act fast. He quickly made his way to Lilian’s house.

But alas, when he found them, Lilian’s parents had already died, and Lilian was already in the hands of Gajo Guntur, the local bandit warlord.

Of course, stealing Lilian away from Gajo Guntur was but child’s play for Jerbo, and he could do it instantly.

But for some reason, he had taken one look at her and was completely moved by compassion.

He chose to expose himself at that moment, and simply demanded Gajo Guntur give her up to him, which he did of course.

Then Jerbo Harkless had asked her the exact same question she was asking Elliot.

“Lilian, would you like to be my disciple?” Jerbo Harkless had asked.

She had looked up at him and asked a single question back to him.

“Would it being your disciple make me strong enough to kill them all?” She pointed at Gajo Guntur.

“Hahahaha!” Jerbo Harkless had laughed uproariously and swept her away to return to his palace.

From that moment on, Lilian took on Jerbo’s last name and became the third of his three disciples.

The years that followed were bliss for Lilian. Under Jerbo’s tutelage, her power skyrocketed.

Revenge came and went.

Then Hegemon level.

Then Ancient level.

And after a thousand years… Primal Level.

Jerbo Harkless was immensely proud of his third disciple.

For the next few thousand years, Jerbo and Lilian prospered, and not a small way due to Lilian and her magical blood.

Lilian’s blood became the single most precious treasure that the entire known universe hungered over, and her influence and prestige rose to an incredibly lofty level.

A single drop of her blood could cause entire life planets to change hands! Life planets! Not merely dead resource planets, but life planets teeming with billions of sentient life!

Jerbo Harkless, though not the strongest Primal, became known as the richest Primal.

But alas, nothing, not even Primals could fight against the ravages of time. Jerbo Harkless was already old when he found Lilian, and he finally reached the end of his life after almost twenty thousand years of life.

Nobody knew how he died, but die he did, mere months after holding a grand celebration to celebrate his other two disciples’ ascension as Ancients.

Another grand celebration was held, but this time to mourn his passing and celebrate his long and full life.

However, after that second celebration, Primal Lilian completely fell off the grid for thousands of years.

Nobody could contact her, not even both of her senior brothers. She also had no disciples, so she truly disappeared without a trace.

The already high demand for her blood exploded!

Nobody could resist the allure of being able to rise up the rungs of bloodline purity. It was their chance to defy fate, and grab hold of a destiny that was much better and much more powerful than they could ever achieve without the blood.

And to make things worse, Primal Lilian had only made a few drops available each year.

And with her gone, each drop of blood was worth entire star systems! Trillions of life were being traded just for the sake of one drop of her blood. Primals and Ancients who desired the blood would spare no expense to get their hands on one.

When she finally appeared once more, the first drop of blood she made available was sold for a staggering universe empire.

One. Whole. Empire.

True, it was a small empire consisting of only fifteen Star Systems and twenty seven life planets. But it was an empire!

And in exchange for a single drop of blood!!

And now, she was actually offering Elliot to be her disciple??

Wouldn’t that make Elliot become the richest punk in the entire universe? And wouldn’t he have access to all the blood he will ever need?

The other Primals faces turned green with jealousy!
