Talent Swallowing System -
Chapter 633 First Kill
"What happened?"
"How is this possible?"
The masked assassin wondered why his Darkling Bat had fallen to the ground suddenly whereas Leo wondered how it was possible.
'Just show me the strength of that bat.'
[Quasi Divine Knowledge]
Without any hesitation, Leo used his talent to check its strength.
….
Beast Name: Darkling Bat.
Strength: Level 5 Bronze.
….
Soon, the name and the strength of the beast appeared in Leo's head.
'So, it is just a level 5 Bronze Beast.'
Only then Leo understood why the Dream Butterfly's skill [Dream Sleep] was so effective on Darkling Beast.
'However, it is not good to let it sleep like that for long.'
The Dream Butterfly's [Dream Sleep] will increase the recovery speed while sleeping. Hence, Leo knew it was not a good thing for him to leave it like that.
'The Dream Butterfly didn't have any attack skills and it could not kill the Darkling Bat. I think I have to take action personally.'
Leo didn't rush out of the Hidden Nest because even if kill the Darkling Bat, he would be killed by the assassin in the next second.
'Wait a second.'
Suddenly, Leo thought of a good idea, making him a little hopeful of his current situation.
'I want Darkling Bat's weakness.'
[Quasi Divine Knowledge]
Leo used his talent to replace the weakness of the Darkling Bat to kill it swiftly.
Even though the Darkling Bat was sleeping, it was still a level 5 Bronze Beast whereas Leo was just a six-year-old kid without much strength.
….
Weakness of the Darkling Bat is its head.
….
Once Leo got the information he required, Leo looked at the weakness of the other two beasts.
….
Weakness of the Twilight Spider is its head.
Weakness of the Dark Hound is its ribs.
…
After using the [Quasi Divine Knowledge] another two times, Leo felt that his mind power had almost reached its end.
'If I use it again, I will faint.'
Leo could tell his limit and started improving his rough plan for a few moments before rushing out of the Hidden Nest.
'Swoosh'
Leo's first target was obviously the Darkling Bat as he rushed as fast as he could towards it.
'This will do.'
Along the way, Leo picked a small stone vase and directly smashed it on the Darkling Bat's small head.
'Kacha'
'Puchi'
There was a crack on the stone vase and as for the Darkling Bat's head, it turned into a paste as black coloured blood slowly flowed out.
"What the….cough"
Leo's actions were quick and since the masked assassin was busy fighting the dragon soul, he failed to stop Leo.
Nevertheless, just when the assassin realized that he lost connection with the Darkling Bat, the masked assassin coughed a mouthful of black blood.
"Dragon Soul, focus on the spider's head and the dog's ribs. They are the weakspots of those two beasts. It's better to kill the spider first and then the dog."
Leo didn't know whether the dragon soul could understand him or not; however, he could tell from this that the dragon soul looked intelligent.
If Leo didn't do anything to help the dragon soul, he would die. Hence, he decided to gamble that the dragon soul could understand his words.
As long as the dragon soul understands his words and focuses on attacking the weakspots of the two beasts, it could easily kill them because the masked assassin was suffering a backlash for the death of his contracted beast.
When a beast tamer's contracted beast dies, there will be a backlash on the beast tamer depending on the strength of the dead contracted beast.
The higher the strength of that contracted beast, the higher the backlash will be.
'Since it was only a bronze grade beast, the backlash would be less; however, it gives enough time for the Dragon Soul to kill at least another one of his contracted beasts which would make him receive a backlash once again.'
The reason why Leo used the [Quasi Divine Knowledge] on the contracted beasts' weakness and not on the Beast Tamer's weakness was because of this excellent plan.
Not only would checking the weakness of a Beast Tamer consume a lot of mind power but the assassin was clever to maintain a proper distance from the dragon soul.
Another important thing was, the Dragon Soul didn't have much time as it might disappear before it could kill the masked assassin who was always dodging the dragon soul's attacks.
'As long as his contracted beasts die, not only will he become weaker but at the same time, he won't be having any meat shield to cover for him.'
Leo's only wish was for the dragon soul to understand his words and follow them.
If it didn't work, Leo was ready to accept his failure and die without completing the mission.
"How dare you kill my contracted beast?"
The assassin placed his hand on his chest as he had trouble breathing due to the sudden backlash as he looked at Leo with an angry look on his face.
"I am going to kill you."
Since the contracted beast was only at Bronze Grade, it didn't take much time for the assassin to recover from the backlash and rushed towards Leo to kill him.
'Rough'
However, before he could reach Leo, the masked assassin coughed another mouthful of blood and fell to the ground.
"What? My other contracted beast is dead?"
The masked assassin turned his head only to see his Twilight Spider lying on the floor without its head.
"It looks like the Dragon Soul could understand my words."
When he saw how the Dragon Soul crushed the Twilight Spider's head, Leo heaved a sigh of relief and smiled at the masked assassin.
'Puchi'
Without any assistance from the Twilight Spider or the masked assassin, the Dark Hound didn't last for much longer against the Dragon Soul as it soon met its end.
"Sorry, it looks like luck is on my side today."
Leo shrugged his hand, while looking at the masked assassin on the floor.
'Swoosh'
Suddenly, the dragon soul also disappeared from the room as the five minute time limit had been completed.
"Cough…I think it's not."
Seeing that the dragon soul disappeared, the assassin struggled to stand up and tightened his grip around the dagger.
