He was looking forward to going home and starting a life fully with her, deep down he knew he shouldtell her the truth about why he really married her.

Later that evening faye walked out of the bedroom wearing the new dress she had brought earlierwhen they went out, she was nervous hoping Daylan would like it. He was busy reading messages onhis phone and had not noticed when she entered the room, her heart started beating fast when shesaw him standing so tall, handsome, and dark in his tux scrolling through his phone. She could hardlybelieve he was hers, and that he absolutely love her.

Looking up and seeing Faye he kept the phone in his pocket and stared at her, she was an epitome ofbeauty and his heart swelled with love " Faye, My God! You...you look so beautiful, and that dress isstunning"

Walking over to her she adjusted his tie and smiled up at him, " iam glad you like it, and you look veryhandsome tonight"

He pulled her into his arms " how am I going to keep my hands off you all night?" He then kissed her,his lip pressed against her in a demanding kiss.

Releasing her he shook his head " something is missing"

Looking down at her dress she frowned " Daylan I don't understand, I thought you like what iamwearing"

"I do honey, but it needs a little something" pulling a black velvet box from the drawer he held it out toFaye, " I think this will take care of the situation".

Her hands trembled when she took the box from him " Daylan what have you done?"

"Open it my love" he urged with a wide grin.

Inside was a pair of diamond earrings and necklace, she gasped. A year slid down from her eyes " ohDaylan, they are so beautiful. But you should not have"

He took he necklace from it's box and turned her around, he put it on her " you are my wife and I planto spoil you at every chance I get"

She turned to him with a wide smile and kissed him making him hot and excited, he groan " Stop itFaye or I swear we won't make it to the party"

Few hours later they arrived and faye held on to Daylan arms as they walked into the ballroom, shelooked around in awe at the beauty of the place, from the musicians to the waiters, to the decorationseverything was classy and elegant.

Daylan handed her a champagne " are you feeling well Faye? You look flushed"

She looked around the room then to Daylan " it is all elegant Daylan, I really don't think I belong here toa place like this. Everyone is so rich and classy and iam neither"

Seeing her lip quiver he knew she was feeling scared and anxious, he put his arms around hershoulder giving her a warm and loving smile " You belong here just like these people, you are beautiful,smart, elegant and classy. Stop worrying and let us have a good time, come and dance with me Faye"

She felt safe and relaxed in his arms as they danced until when she looked up and spotted his family "Daylan" she tugged his shirt, " Your family just walked in"

He looked over and scoffed " they are no longer my family, we both know they will be here but it doesn'tmeans we have to socialize with them, let's keep dancing"

Faye could not help but feel as if the rift between Daylan and his family were all her fault, theycontinued dancing and when they were exhausted they sat down. Viola and the others walked over to

them, Daylan stood up as he was clearly angry " No reason for you to come over here, I have told all ofyou whatever I have to the other day"

Viola glared at him " we need to talk, all of us. We can do it here or go somewhere private"

Daylan kept his arms around Faye as they walked out, viola turned to Daylan " It is time to end thismarriage and marry Ariana as we planned"

"Who is Ariana?" Faye asked frantically looking at Daylan.

"She is nobody" he answered her never leaving his stare from his godmother.

Viola laughed, " oh my goodness! Daylan you have not told her?"

"Told me what?" Faye cried.

"My dear Faye, she is the one he was engaged to, they were to marry in six months time" violaanswered enjoying seeing Faye face turn pale as she stared at Daylan.

He took her face in his hands " baby listen to me, it is true I was engaged to her but I never have anyintention of marrying her, I love you Faye only you"

"Tell her the rest!" His godfather ordered.

Daylan turned to his family " shut your mouth! All of you leave now! Leave us alone I want to talk to mywife".

"Viola smiled " we will go" before leaving she turned to Faye " ask him why he really married you"

Faye felt as if her world was Falling apart, she looked at Daylan with tears Falling down waiting for himto explain.
