Faye touched his face stroking it with her finger " Are you okay?" She asked seeing the hauted look inhis eyes, she knew that hearing the real story of who is godfather really is and seeing the horrible scarthat covered Viola's back because she showed love to him more than to japhet was a big shock toDaylan. He may not have had the best childhood, but it was nothing compared to what she wentthrough for his sake.

Daylan gave her a weak smile, the palm in his hand rested on the side of her face " I will be fine oncewe have our baby boy back" he pulled her up against his chest,his mouth came down on hers. His kisswere deep and demanding, all his pent-up anxiety went into that kiss, he needed the release from thepain and worry that has plague him. He felt her hand on the back of his head as she held him close,she too needed that closeness.

The gaurd was quiet as he could hear them kissing, knowing they were both hurting and he was gladthey had each other. He knew Daylan would kill his godfather, he just hope they gets there before thebaby and whoever was with them took off, They made it to the woods in thirty five minutes, the gaurdquickly turned off the car headlights and came to a stop.

"What now boss?" He asked.

Daylan looked around, he did not see a car or any sign of Maxwell " I do not see his car but there arelights on in the cabin, keep the carlight off and drive around to the back, we will put the car out of sightand sneak on them" his heart felt as though it was going to burst from worry, what if they had leftalready with the baby?

The gaurd found a place where the car would not be spotted and turned it off, he waited for Daylan togive him an order.

Daylan turned to Faye " You stay in the car and keep the doors locked".

"No way am I staying here when my baby could be inside, please let me come"

He made a growling sound and cupped her chin in his hand " You are so stubborn Faye"

"Iam sorry Daylan, my baby."

taking her hand they got out of the vehicle " stay with me and don't do anything"

"Okay" she said nodding her head in obedience, taking his hand firmly they made their way towards thecabin, she wanted to run, to hurry inside and get her baby but Daylan had a firm grip on her hand. Itwas almost as if he knew she might do something.

"You go around and keep a lookout" he instructed his gaurd, his hand on the gun Daylan and Fayemade their way up to the front step of the cabin"

He cursed when they creaked underneath their weight and moved slower, " Stand back" he orderedand kicked the door, his gun pointed out.

A woman came running from the bedroom, she stopped when she saw them. Her eyes showed fear,she knew who Daylan was and his reputation for destroying anyone who wronged him, he was pointingthe gun at her, sweat poured down her face.

"Don't move!" He warned sternly.

They all turned their head towards the sound of a baby's cry coming from the bedroom.

Faye knew it was her baby and when the woman turned to go back into the bedroom Faye scooted outfrom behind Daylan sprinting forward she grabbed the woman by the back of her hair and yanked it ashard as she could.

"Stay away from my baby!" She screamed.

Face to face with the woman she raised her fist and oun he'd her in the nose, blood flowed out as thewoman fell to the floor, Daylan smiled. He hand never seen this side of her before, he kind of liked it.

"Stay down!" He shouted as the woman tried standing on her feet, Faye ran to the bedroom. A feelingof joy filled his heart when she returned carrying their baby and she went right over to where he wasstanding. keeping his gun on the woman he looked down at his adorable son.

Faye could not stop the tears as she held little Alex protectively in her arms, " we have him back mylove and he seemed okay"

"I took good care of him" the woman on the floor cried out.

"You keep your mouth shut!" Daylan snapped corking the gun.

The baby started crying sucking on his thumb, " he is hungry, I need to feed him"

"Okay baby, go into the bedroom while I have a talk with this woman" he said . Bending over he kissedhis son's head.

Once Faye left, Daylan threw a towel at the woman and pulled up a chari sitting down " what is yourname?"

"Lizzy" she replied wiping the blood from her face.

"Where is Maxwell?"

"He went into town to get some supplies for the baby, he will be back soon. He made me do it, I didn'twant to and I took good care of the baby"

"Tell me everything Lizzy"

"All I know is that he wanted to baby to disappear, he was paying me to take him to Paris. He wanted togive him to a couple to raise"

Daylan felt his anger boiling, that was what he did to his younger brother that led to his mother deathdue to cancer and worry, they tried every means to replace their second son but it was frutile. Little did theyknew Maxwell, with the help of the doctor kidnapped him. Maxwell took japhet to another country,seeing that viola was almost at the verge of losing her sanity while believing her son is still alive,Maxwell took advantage of her situation and gave the baby to Viola who raised him as her son, thatmeans until they were both placed in the grave Daylan parents did not know their second son japhetwas alive.
