Chapter 394 - The Peak of Narcissism

Chapter 394: The Peak of Narcissism

"Tsk...where the f*ck are these guys popping from?" Max cursed as he kicked the one in front of him sending him flying straight through the terrace and plummeting down the streets.

There were already 10 to 12 down and there were two more still standing in front of him.

These two people had a grim look on their face. The fact that Max had already taken down the rest of their team meant that the two of them wouldn't last in front of him as well.

"So, why don't you two tell me, where are you guys popping out from? I couldn't even sense that many of you to begin with…." Max said as he looked at the two.

But it was obvious that they didn't seem to be keen on talking.

"You don't need to talk, I will get it out of your heads…." Max muttered as he moved.

The duo immediately took their stances and their auras conjoined before lashing out at Max.

Max didn't stop, black dark gas rushed out of his body as well and clashed with the ominous aura.

The duo's faces turned to that of horror as they felt their energy and bodies getting? sucked towards the dark matter which was leaking out of Max's body.

Max raised both of his hands and activated his telekinesis ability. The duo who were struggling to maintain their ground immediately felt the suction force increase and were pulled towards Max.

Max immediately snapped one of the guy's neck before throwing him in the air and slicing him apart using a water blade.

'Andriel...search his memories…' Max said as he jumped off of the terrace and flew through the night sky still carrying the other guy by his neck.

….

Outside the Auction Hall…

Werner stood in a distance gazing intently at the entrance. He had already used every person at his disposal to surround the place. There was no way he would be missing these people.

He was truly enraged. No matter who these people were, they had messed his plan for a big time. He would surely give them a cruel death before replaceing the b*stard who had betrayed him and leaked out all the information.

But, he kept waiting….and waiting….when almost 5 minutes passed, he was almost sure that something was wrong….

He had sent a few of his people to either just kill them silently if possible or to force them out of the place.

He already knew that these people didn't have any intention of raising a commotion. If they really wanted one, they wouldn't have sat idly till now…

"Are they dead as well?" He suddenly asked the man behind him. He was the strongest person here, his Master's servant and the leader of the squad as well.

"Yes.." The man calmly replied as he gazed at the auction hall.

Werner's eye twitched as he looked at the him. He was angry but he didn't show it on his face, "You should have informed me in that case…"

The man didn't reply. It was clear he was just standing here to follow orders. If he was asked something to do, he would do it but aside from that…he didn't seem too participative….

"Are they still in there? Or did they make an escape?" Werner asked, he was sure this person wouldn't cooperate willingly. But he wasn't a fool, he knew how to get most out of this man as long as the guy did everything he was asked to.

"One of them escaped through the terrace."

Werner's face turned dark. But the man was still not down talking….

"Two of them are moving towards the back exit and as for the rest…" the man suddenly paused.

"What about the rest?" Wener asked as he looked at him.

"Their presence has disappeared..."

"Disappeared?" Wener asked with a frown.

"Yes….either there is a way for them to hide or they were killed by their own companions to prevent any information from leaking out…'' the man calmly replied.

"Huh? So the remaining are the strongest of then I assume…" Werner said as he beckoned a few of his men.

He didn't think there was anything tha could escape his senses. Even if no one knew, he knew very well that where his abilities laid....

Still there was a chance of some rare artifact, but he didn't think that such rare artifact would suddenly appear in number more than one...

"You capture the two behind, I will get that guy…help me lock onto his aura..." Werner said as he looked at the man before closing his eyes.

The man kept his hand on Werner's shoulder and the next moment Wener felt a flame lit up in the darkness.

When he saw that the person didn't seem to be moving, he frowned.

"He is trying to act as a bait. He is waiting for a chase to help the other people out…" the man said with a calm tone.

Wener's lips curled up in a smile. It seemed he could still get things in the right path.

….

On the other side, Max was indeed waiting as he looked towards the auction hall. A guy laid beneath his feet not moving at all. His pupils had turned white.

"I made sure that man could sense me, I don't think my movements were that good to escape the senses of someone like him…" Max muttered. He didn't manage to draw the guy out…..this was a bit troubling.

Max suddenly turned to his phone to? see the incoming messages.

?Hold on for a bit. I am onto it. Don't do anything rash…?

It was from his Master. He obviously had contacted for help as soon as he possibly could. This territory didn't belong to the Zatch family, Max doubted that they had someone stationed as strong as that man here. Stark must be trying to get in contact with the Kingsman family.

?Why the hell are you two such a troublemaker?!! A disciple like a master….the saying really fits you two...?

That was the message from his grand master...

'To think, I will have to ask for help…' Max was a bit depressed. Honestly, he would have like to deal the situation with his own...but the situation had much more at stake...his people's lives and depending on what the thing was in the storage artifact hidden in the sword….there might be more to add...

"Hmmn?" Max suddenly sensed a few of these people moving towards him but the person he wanted to draw away wasn't among them.

"Fine, I will see if he still can keep on standing there after I kill this bunch…" Max muttered as he waited for these people to show up. It wasn't like he could just run away and hide while others were still in danger….not mention help should be arriving soon…

At least he could ease the burden on Lear and that Narcissist. Well, Max was thinking for them but he was totally oblivious to the fact that they didn't have any burden to bear in the least.....

"I thought it wasn't the time of our deaths?" Lear asked with a grim look on his face.

"Of course, it isn't! Just believe me." The silver-haired guy revealed a dazzling smile on his face as he spoke with utmost confidence.

"You really think I can believe you in this condition…" Lear asked as he sighed. He shouldn't have believed him. This guy was not like Max and Bahamut...he was just going to get all of them killed.

"Shut up!" One of the men shouted at Lear with a frown.

Lear looked at the guy giving him a threatening gaze and stopped talking. He then looked at the Narcissist beside him who was similarly tied like him in an upside down fashion and left hanging down like a pig waiting to be slaughtered.

The guy was gazing at the moon. It seemed some realisation had stuck him as his body shook for a moment.

'Enlightenment?'

Lear thought as he had heard Max talking about something that unlike Lear who practiced his family mana arts like a parrot, their arts leaned towards understanding of things...which was something like Enlightenment….

The silver haired guy suddenly turned towards Lear and asked in a low serious voice, "Even the moon pales in comparison to me, don't you think?"

Lear began to struggle like a worm. He had to kill this guy before getting killed. Not only did he made him surrender even without a fight, but was now torturing him with his bullsh*t!

The man who was on guard saw Lear going crazy and kicked him. Even though the squad leader had told them that they needed to hold them captive, he didn't say to treat them well.

After getting kicked for a while, Lear was finally tied up in some kind of bondage fashion. It was really hard to imagine what kind of rough play this man did...but he was quite talented that's for sure….

"Well, I didn't expect someone with your face to understand the concept of beauty..." The guy said as he looked at Lear with a gaze full of pity.

Lear glare at him but the narcissist soon ignored him and gazed at the stars in search of another enlightenment.
