Chapter 471: Erina Vs Giant Manticore

?Wilson: Go and look for my sister, she seems to be in trouble...?

Axel frowned as he looked at the message.

?Lear: We haven't even found each other yet, how am I suppose to replace her??

?Wilson: Not you...I am talking to Axel..you were near her...you know where she is...?

?Axel: Are you out of your mind? She is against us? Why should we help her??

?Mark: I think Axel is right. Besides, she can just forfeit if it gets hard for her.?

?Wilson: I am not asking you guys or making a request.?

Axel's face twitched as he looked at it.

?Axel: I am against it!! No matter what...I am not going anywhere….?

?Wilson: I promise to burn everything in your tent if anything happens to my sister?

Axel's face turned dark. How many times was this going to happen?!!

?Axel: You b*stard!!! What have my things got to do with this!! No!! What have I got to do with your sister!! It's not my fault she is in trouble!!?

?Wilson: You think I am an idiot? She went in the direction you came from and you were the one who gave her the directions…you definitely met that thing but didn't warn her...am I right??

Axel immediately started to sweat. He had warned her but only to the level where his warning wouldn't matter…

?Wilson: I understand she is against us but she is still my sister. Go and keep an eye on her, if she forfeits then it's good if not...then help her out before it starts to harm her life...?

Axel cursed inwardly. He regretted not warning her properly earlier.

It looks like no one was going to take his side and try to reason with Wilson.

In the end, he could only reluctantly turn around. But before diving in, he had to make a few preparations. After all, he wasn't the type to go headfirst.

….

"Gosh! It's one stubborn beast…." Erina panted as she hid amongst one of the alleys.

She could still clearly hear the Manticore's hateful screams as it kept looking for her. The injuries on her body had increased as well.

She had actually ran into another beast while escaping and the Manticore had managed to catch up resulting in another confrontation.

"Should I just kill it? It doesn't seem like it's going to let go of this chase easily…'' Erina muttered to herself.

But she was hesitating, if she killed it then she would be too exhausted to continue further.

Suddenly, she felt a huge shadow looming over her.

"Boom!''

Erina immediately dashed out of the alley onto the main street as Manticore followed her.

She ran away with all her might only to hit a dead end. The road ahead was blocked by a collapsed bridge and the thick vegetation.

Erina sighed as she came to a stop. There was no choice now. She had to put up a fight and kill it.

She should be able to earn a lot of points as well. This thing was definitely among the Top 5 beasts present in the competition.

"Roar!!!!"

Erina frowned as she felt a sharp pain in her head from its menacing roar. But she didn't let her focus slip and activated her True spell.

"Fire Queen!"

Red flames erupted from her body with a bang as the temperature in the vicinity soared. The vegetation nearby was immediately set ablaze.

The Giant Manticore which was about to pounce suddenly stopped as it seemed to be wary of Erina's transformation.

Erina stood there as flame armor formed on her upper and lower body while her red hairs and eyebrows turned into red strings of flames.

The ground around her had turned red and looked as if it was going to melt any second now.

The Giant Manticore looked at Erina and then his human-like face showed disdain. It had decided that the girl wasn't strong enough.

It opened its mouth and immediately fired a breath attack.

Red Flames rose from Erina's body forming a beautiful lady-like figure resembling Erina. The figure opened its mouth and a red beam of light shot out from its mouth.

The red beam of light even though much smaller than white breath attack collided and cancelled each other.

Erina immediately flew towards the beast through the smoke preparing to take it by surprise.

But a beast's senses were much more stronger than that of a human. It raised its paw and its razor sharp claws immediately slashed against the incoming opponent.

Erina didn't back down in face of the attack at all, the fiery figure formed above her immediately raised her hand and a shield formed from flames appeared and blocked the claws saving her from being torn apart.

"It's my turn now…" Erina muttered as she shoved her arm ahead.

The figure above her followed her action and bashed the Manticore with the flame shield.

"Bang!"

The Giant Manticore was pushed back a few steps but it stopped Erina. Its forehead had begun to smoke and it seemed to be in pain.

But it still wasn't enough to roast it alive.

Erina had realised it as well. It had thick and tough skin. Her flames weren't hot enough to immediately burn it alive…

"In that case….I will cut through you…"

Erin suddenly raised her other hand and the figure above followed her action as red flames rose through the sky forming a sharp rapier.

The figure thrusted its rapier ahead with full force.

The Giant Manticore felt the danger and immediately twisted its body but the rapier still managed to pierce its hind leg burning it from inside.

The Beast immediately released a painful cry and its anger tosr through the sky. It had gone berserk.

The berserk creature took a strong step and overpowered the fiery figure and pushed the shield away while its flaws slashed towards the Erina.

"Boom!"

Erina flew several meters away before managing to stabilise herself. The fiery figure above her head had deep claw marks on its body which were healing at a rapid rate.

"I can do this….I just need to hold out…" Erin muttered as the sweat which had just formed on her immediately evaporated into the flames.

….

"I wish I could just pretend to have not seen her….but with so much commotion even people a few miles away would be able to tell something was wrong…" Axel muttered as he looked at flames rising in the distance.

He continued to walk down the path which still had sights of battle and burn marks showing that the two must have followed the same path.

"Ah! This one looks nice…." Axel stooped below and picked up a round stone as he continued to walk ahead while carving black runes on the stones.

'What's going on? The moment I started to carve the runes...the chat disappeared..' Axel frowned when he realised that the messages weren't vissible any longer.

Now that he remembered it, when he first came in and hid behind the car. He had activated the formation on his handgun as well.

Was this some kind of limitation?

He would have to ask Max it seemed.

"Roar!!!!!!"

Axel was almost scared to death when he heard the roar.

"I better hurry up…."
