The Divine Wolf... or?
Chapter 47: An Odd Bunch

As the silhouette sped up the stairs, it quickly arrived in front of room number 3, the door to the room seemed to be a bit worn out, and a weird odor permeated the area, a bit like the smell of old fish. The silhouette didn't need to knock before someone opened the door from the inside, the weird thing was, no one stood behind the door, it had just opened by itself.

The silhouette didn't seem to be fazed at all though as it entered in complete silence.

The room was about 10 meters square, and inside you could replace two worn-out bunk beds in the furthermost corners of the room, opposite the door. In the middle of the room was a small table. Seated around this table were 4 people in total, 3 males, and 1 female. Every one of the males wore pretty expensive armor forged out of dark-steel.

Even though the ore was fairly common, it was still miles above normal iron, and it was very durable even though it was very lightweight. It could also conduct Mana on a higher level, both in quantity and intensity. Imagine your sword breaking in the middle of a battle because your Mana output was too intense, that could cost you your life.

Out of the three males, two wielded swords, while the last one wielded dual axes. The female had a staff at her side, embedded within was a majestic emerald gem, giving off a sharp glint. The woman was about 1,7 meters tall, with a curvaceous body. She was clad in black robes, with light green engravings all over it. This woman was a wind mage, and the robe she was wearing was magical equipment.

The man with dual axes was the leader of this little group, and he was about 1,95 meters tall, giving him an overbearing vibe. The armor he was wearing seemed almost a little small for him, but that only made his image even fiercer. He had pretty common looks, and he wouldn't be all that impressive if it wasn't for his massive body.

Out of the other two men, one of them was fairly short, about the same height as the woman. His hair was a beautiful azure, but the rest of him didn't live up to his beautiful hair, painting a pretty bizarre picture. His face resembled that of a snake, and he was very skinny, giving him a bit of a creepy vibe.

The sword attached to his waist was curved, and if he slashed someone with it, it would surely hurt like hell. The last man was actually pretty handsome. His hair was as black as the night sky, and so were his eyes. His sword was currently inside of a pitch-black scabbard, and the man looked a little annoyed.

As the silhouette entered the room, the company of four turned to check what was going on. All of them had felt the presence of the silhouette beforehand, but they didn't move until now.

"You got any news for us?" The leader of the four stood up lazily and asked, he was very bored at the moment, and he felt like doing something.

The silhouette turned into the figure of a woman as it entered the room. The woman had fiery red hair that resembled the brilliance of flowing magma, and it was currently put up into a ponytail behind her head. Her eyes were amber, and they withheld a gentle light as she gazed upon these four people in front of her. The woman's skin was very pale, drawing a huge contrast to her strikingly red hair.

All in all, she was very beautiful. She was wearing dark leather armor which hid the curves of her body really well. Attached to her waist was a pair of small daggers with jagged edges.

"I found a recruit!" She answered tactfully as she faced the leader of the group.

"Hmmm, give us some details!" He answered as he pondered with a bit of hope within his gaze.

"I found this youth outside of the city gates, he seems to be between 16 and 18 years old. He carries a dwarf who seems to have some form of connection to the darkness element on his back, badly injured. He got obstructed by two followers of the holy church because of his dwarf friend, which prompted him to kill both of them! He is currently still outside of the city!"

Hearing this, the small group was surprised, someone who openly killed people of the holy church for a friend isn't someone you would replace every day. The leader of the group pondered a little more silently before speaking up once more.

"How would you describe the kid's character? Just from your observation of course."

"He seems like a loyal kid to me, I don't believe him to be ruthless just because he killed them, I suspect that he is in a hurry to save his friend. Getting entangled with people of the holy church while trying to help a dwarf would only get the dwarf killed after all." This was the extent of the information she could gather, but she was still happy with what she managed to replace.

This kid would make a good recruit!

"If that's the case, we should probably get a move on, before things get too out of hand. If the kid gets surrounded by the city guards, it will be hard to get him out of there."

"Everyone will come this time, I doubt that we can continue using this hideout after this, and we should probably get a move on!" The leader raised his voice a little at the end of his sentence, and the rest of the team all stood up straight, before moving out. As they all walked together, they painted a very organized picture, like they had been doing this for years.

There was also one little detail that made the whole scene complete, all of them had a small badge attached to their chests. On top of this badge was two swords. One of the swords was white and pure, while the other was pitch-black. The swords twisted and intertwined atop the badge, painting a picture of harmony.
