The Epic of Leviathan (A Mutant's Ascension)
Chapter 440 - Wrong Place, Wrong Time...

[Forest of Menos, Hueco Mundo]

"Now that's what we are talking about!!" Apacci exclaimed as a red orb started to form at the tip of her horn. Only after a few moments, Apacci launched a red beam towards Unohana.

"Bakudo #81, Danku" Unohana muttered in a low tone and a translucent barrier appeared in front of her. The red beam slammed against the barrier and the barrier didn't even shudder under the pressure.

The red beam finally stopped and the barrier shattered as Unohana no longer needed it. Unohana raised her finger and pointed towards Apacci.

"Hado #4, Byakurai" Unohana said and a blue lightning bolt shot out of Unohana's finger and Apacci lunged to her right so that she could avoid the lightning bolt.

Since Unohana wasn't allowed to kill, for now, she had decided not to use her Zanpakutou. She had just taken the Zanpakutou in her hand so that she could scare them but that didn't work. .

Mila Rose and Sung-Sun weren't idle while Apacci was attacking Unohana. Unohana disappeared as Mila Rose appeared where Unohana was standing and slammed down her fists.

Unohana silently appeared behind Apacci and placed her hand on Apacci's back. Apacci stiffened, she wanted to move away using Sonido but she simply wasn't fast enough.

"Hado #67, Raikoho" Unohana muttered and a huge yellow lightning bolt slammed on Apacci's back causing a huge explosion.

"Apacci!!" Both Mila Rose and Sung-Sun screamed out in fear. Apacci's body was flung out of the dust cloud, her body landed a few meters away from the initial spot.

Both Mila Rose and Sung-Sun noticed that Apacci's back was charred, both Mila Rose and Sung-Sun started to release their Spiritual Power unconsciously due to anger.

"Now you have done it, bitch!" Mila Rose spat out as Unohana walked out of the dust cloud with a calm look on her face.

Mila Rose looked towards Sung-Sun who nodded her head. Both of them pulled out their Zanpakutou.

"Devour, Kuichirase!" Mila Rose exclaimed as she was surrounded by a golden light and her Spiritual Power multiplied several folds. Unohana simply tilted her head in curiosity.

"Strangle to Death, Shimekorose" Sung-Sun said in a polite tone and her body was surrounded by pink light and her Spiritual Power also multiplied several folds.

When the lights finally resided Mila Rose seemed to have grown a new mane of golden hair and she was also wearing much lesser clothes. Unohana wanted to chastise the offending woman but she understood that now was not the time.

A faint smile appeared on Unohana's face as she noticed that Sung-Sun wasn't an exhibitionist like her friend. Her lower body resembled a snake… Unohana had seen Attila more than enough.

"Your technique was somewhat similar to Shinigami's Zanpakutou release… I wonder how you have achieved that" Unohana contemplated but she didn't say anything else for now.

Mila Rose and Sung-Sun nodded their heads and used Sonido to attack Unohana. Unohana easily dodged through their attacks. Sung-Sun hurled several snakes towards Unohana.

Unohana turned her palm towards the incoming snakes "Hado #58, Tenran" as soon as Unohana finished speaking, a tornado-like blast erupted from Unohana's palm and blew away the snakes.

Most of the Shinigamis needed their Zanpakutou if they wanted to use this Hado but some of the older and experienced Captains like Unohana could use most of the Hados and Bakudos without an external medium.

Unohana lowered her head as the broadsword of Mila Rose swung down. Unohana pointed two of her fingers towards Mila Rose.

"Bakudo #61, Rikujokoro" Unohana muttered and six rods made of yellow light slammed against Mila Rose's midsection from all the sides. Mila Rose completely froze and she found that she was unable to move her body.

Sung-Sun screamed and attacked Unohana in reckless abandon. Apacci was knocked out, Mila Rose was immobilized but she was fine. She had to do something so that she could save themselves from this predicament but Sung-Sun knew that it was a fool's dream.

There was no way that she could do something against this woman. Their opponent was way superior to them. Yes, Quimera Parca might have worked but that was no longer an option. They should have used that from the beginning.

Sung-Sun chuckled mirthlessly inside her mind. That is when she found Unohana's finger pointing towards her shoulder. "Hado #4, Byakurai" a blue lightning bolt shot out of Unohana's finger as it pierced through Sung-Sun's shoulder.

Sung-Sun screamed in pain but continued attacking. If only she was stronger. They are going to fail Aizen-sama, but that didn't seem to bother her that much. They were going to break Harribel-sama's heart.

Unohana sidestepped as she dodged another volley of snakes launched from Sung-Sun's sleeves. Unohana placed her palm towards the ground.

"Hado #57, Daichi Tenyo" Unohana muttered and the ground in front of her feet cracked and it was hurled towards Sung-Sun.

Sung-Sun pulled up her hands so that she could protect her torso and face from the projectiles. The projectiles smashed on her body and a loud grunt escaped her lips. Her body was flung back several meters.

Unohana raised her palm and pointed it towards the beaten form of Sung-Sun. "Bakudo #63, Sajo Sabaku" Unohana muttered, and a golden chain wrapped around the form of Sung-Sun.

After a few moments, Sung-Sun started to struggle but it was completely useless. Even though her lower body resembled a snake, she was unable to move it.

"Give it up, that will be easier for you" Unohana said while approaching Apacci's body. The rude woman was still knocked out, Unohana pointed two fingers towards the unconscious woman.

"Bakudo #61, Rikujokoro" Unohana said and bound the unconscious woman.

"What are you doing?! She can't harm you any longer!!" Sung-Sun screamed, worried that Unohana might be going to finish the job.

"I simply want to heal her" Unohana said as she kneeled beside Apacci. Hela appeared in a wisp of greenish-black smoke.

"I thought the fight would be more bloody! Damn! You three were disappointing" Hela said while shaking her head. Mila Rose was still frozen so she wasn't able to react.

Sung-Sun gritted her teeth as there was nothing she could do. She needed to use her hands so that she could fire a Cero and she could no longer use her hands.

"As you remember Hela, I wasn't allowed to kill so I had to use my non-lethal methods" Unohana said as she kept healing Apacci's back.

"Those were non-lethal methods?!!" Sung-Sun screamed out incredulously. She looked really offended. Hela cackled as she started to approach Sung-Sun.

Sung-Sun noticed that and tried to crawl away but Hela grabbed her by the back of her throat and picked her up without much effort. Hela was still cackling madly and Sung-Sun shuddered in fear when she saw Hela's menacingly glowing eyes.

"Aren't you a cute little thing? You see both me and my sister love to slaughter and massacre… we love killing things. Unohana here wasn't even serious with any of you" Hela said as she started to release her bloodlust.

Even Mila Rose who was completely immobilized shuddered in fear. It was much worse for Sung-Sun though… Hela's bloodlust was so potent that Sung-Sun hallucinated herself dying in many gruesome ways.

"If she was even slightly serious then all of you would have been missing a limb or two" Hela said with a grin and Sung-Sun's whole body shook in fear.

When Sung-Sun was more than enough cowed, Hela dropped her like a sack of potatoes and reined in her bloodlust. Unohana finally finished healing Apacci's back as she started to approach Sung-Sun.

"Can't you heal them after we take them back?" Hela whined and Unohana shook her head with a smile and handed Hela her Zanpakutou.

"Hold Minazuki while I heal Sung-Sun-san" Unohana said in a gentle tone and Hela simply pouted as she sat down on an Astral Chair.

Unohana kneeled down beside Sung-Sun and opened her shirt to reveal her shoulder.

"Why are you doing this?" Sung-Sun asked with some difficulty. She was still having some trouble controlling herself… her emotions were a mess.

"It is my duty as a healer. Even if you are my enemy, I simply can't ignore if they need healing" Unohana said with a kind smile as her hand was surrounded by a green glow.

Sung-Sun winced in pain when Unohana placed her palm over her wound. "No. Not that, I mean why are you doing this to us?" Sung-Sun asked.

"To be honest, I understand how you must be feeling but I couldn't allow you three to leave after you recognized me. I know you would have reported me to Aizen and I can't have that" Unohana said as she kept healing the woman.

"You were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time" Unohana said and continued healing the snake-woman. Sung-Sun didn't say anything and decided to lay down. There was nothing she could do right now.

Sung-Sun simply prayed for the safety of Harribel-sama. Mila Rose was also having similar thoughts, and Apacci might have thought something like that but she was still knocked out…
