The First King of Beasts -
Chapter 93 Paying A Visit
( Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing alright? I just want to apologise real quick because I had said I will do a mass release as last month ended, but ended up not doing it. I didn't get the time to embark on something like that this time, so maybe next time. Do forgive my incompetence. Thank you, and
HAPPY NEW MONTH! )

Not too long after the initial introductions, the entire team that came with Elva could be seen sitting on the ground with some even lying down, all panting hard as they tried to catch their breath. The supposed test might have just turned into a training lesson for them, that is for those who were able to catch anything.
Not underestimating Dustin, the two who stood as the strongest had attacked first, and only after they had failed to land a single blow did they bring out their preferred weapons, and even then still got their asses kicked. After that, the rest of the team joined the fight, and they all were easily beaten by Dustin. The supposed test turned out to be beneficial for Dustin, as he was able to gauge his strength against others.
Elva mentioned that Panda and Snake were on the level of rankers, and if they were to enter the list (The rankings) they would be in the top 100. Though they would be placed towards the bottom, but they would be able to maintain that standing without a doubt. If Dustin could topple over two such people and three others that were supposed to be significantly strong and not too far behind when compared to Panda and Snake, then he was sure he would have no problem for the majority of time. Unless he meets the one at the top of the ranking, he was fine. But then again, he would have to face off with them to truly know.
The way the ranking worked was that the points in the rankings are determined by the show of strength and skill by a person. Other contributions and some other things are also evaluated, but ultimately no one really knew the all and all of the system. The rankings only showed the top 10,000 and at that moment, Dustin was not in it, but then he wondered. 'If the ranking system records this data automatically, then why aren't these guys in it?' He thought for a second, but then forgot about it. As it wasn't important at the moment, he could always think about it later. One thing was for sure though, his own rank was about to shoot up tremendously.
"I'll be leaving now if there's nothing else." Dustin said, as he stood up from where he had taken a seat.
Elva just raised her brows about to respond with something, but not giving her the chance, Dustin just began walking away. Maybe what she was going to say wasn't all that important after all, as she only watched him walk and disappear into the forest after that.
..
Dustin arrived back at his house and entered. He had been busy with preparations, and the place still looked a bit scattered. It was late, so Dustin had decided to take care of it the next day. He walked towards the kitchen to prepare himself a meal, and as he walked through the poorly lit rooms of the house and entered the kitchen, he halted just before he opened the door to the kitchen, then turned towards the dining area. His senses had picked up something around that area, and he began to move closer. Something didn't feel right. AS he touched the first chair there, he simultaneously had a feeling like someone was about to place a hand on his shoulder, and just then he noticed someone standing behind him with the person's arm stretched out.
Dustin immediately sprung into action and swiftly turned around sideways and pointed a dagger to the neck of the person. 'How come I didn't notice him up until now? Even with my sixth sense at such level of mastery.' Dustin questioned in his mind. It was as though the man had seemingly appeared behind him.
"Who are you?" Dustin asked, his voice calm, showing no sign of stress or worry.
The man he was pointing his blade at turned a little as his eyes fell on Dustin's blade. 'Where did this dagger come from? I was sure he wasn't holding any weapons then...' The man thought to himself before removing his thoughts from it at the moment. He had an explanation to give after all.
"Please, forgive me as I may have gone too far. I am the one you might know as the messenger, nice to meet you." The man said in a warm voice, definitely not suiting the current situation.
After a couple seconds of complete silence, Dustin pulled back his dagger and went towards where the light switches were. Ever since he came back, he would forget to on the lights within the house since he actually didn't need them to see. His sixth sense skill was at the level where he could make out a clear picture of his surroundings all around, so he had gotten used to it. But, with someone else in the room, that had even managed to evade his senses, Dustin thought having the lights on would be better.
When he switched on the lights, the other man was already seated and waiting for Dustin, who also took a seat. Looking at the man now, Dustin could make out that he was quite the beautiful one despite being a man. He looked almost feminine in facial features, and Dustin could almost immediately tell what the origin of ladyboys was. He also wore an elegant looking robe that went well.
"So? Prove it." Dustin said.
"Prove, what?" The man responded..
"That you are the messenger. You can't just make such an outlandish claim and expect me to believe you like that."
"Oh..." The seemed to be thinking about something as they stayed in silence for a while. It wasn't everyday he was asked to prove that he was himself, so the man was currently going through the list of things that only him would be able to do, as the messenger.
"Ah, I know." The man said as an idea seemed to have popped into his head.
At that same time, a system notification appeared before Dustin, and it read.
[I am the Messenger]
