Chapter 1
Chapter 1:.
“Take off your clothes, lie down on the bed and spread your legs!”. Ordered the doctor dressed in a white coat.
Next to the blue stretcher was a beautiful, fragile girl who closed her eyes in humiliation. Her long eyelashes were like the thin, light wings of a butterfly that are beautiful while they remain motionless. Her beautiful crimson lips pursed gently with a hint of lonely sadness.
Bitterness filled her mind as seventeen-year-old Sherry listened in humiliation to the doctor’s orders. She composed herself, removed her clothes and lay on the gurney as she awaited the doctor’s examination. Sherry felt the middle-aged doctor’s sarcastic judgment. She must have felt she was a materialistic girl. It was the first time Sherry had ever been fully exposed to another person.
The sunlight was penetrating through the sheer curtains in the room and the glare was so bright it was hard to keep her eyes open. But her heart was in darkness because she had accepted a job despised by society: to be a surrogate mother.
She was only seventeen years old. After the doctor inspected her lower body, the doctor coldly said, “It’s okay, you can get dressed!”
Sherry began to dress and let out a long sigh. She had passed the first hurdle. By passing this exam, she could receive half the payment. Her pale complexion with her black hair pulled back behind her and an oversized T-shirt covering her slender shoulders enhanced her frail, helpless appearance.
A man dressed in a business suit saw Sherry being led away by the doctor. He looked at Sherry and asked quietly, “Dr. Lee, how was the checkup?”
“Mr. Mollison, rest assured she is a virgin and has no disease.” Dr. Lee said directly.
Sherry blushed and didn’t dare give the man in front of her a glance. She just knew that he was the person who was arranging for her to be the surrogate. As for who the other client was, Sherry had no idea if he was tall or short, fat or thin. She only knew that the person paid five million yuan for a surrogate. Surely, he must have been a mysterious person.
“Miss Murray, let’s go!”. After Peter talked to Dr. Lee, he took Sherry to a car and they drove to a Villa in QY Mountain.
“Miss Murray, from today until your pregnancy, to ensure the purity of the child, the employer ordered that you are not allowed to leave this Villa. Once you are pregnant, he will give you an amount of money. You will no longer have to worry about your younger brother’s medical condition, ever again. That amount of money will be transferred to the account today.”
Sherry, sighed, “Can I call if I can’t get out?”.
“Of course!”. said Peter warmly, “Miss Murray, this was to restrict your freedom, but since the employer paid you so much, you should behave responsibly towards him, shouldn’t you?”.
“Yes.” Sherry wrung her hands uneasily.
“Miss Murray, there are clothes in the room upstairs and all the things what you need. I will come every day to deliver your food. Miss Murray, the lawyer has prepared all the documents. All you need to do now is sign them.”
“Oh!” Sherry was dumbfounded. She, thereafter, signed them for her brother’s sake.
As the pen descended on the paper, Sherry’s heart began to race and she became conflicted. She didn’t know what her future would hold. Once she signed the papers, her future would be all but ruined, but she had no choice! Her brother was waiting for the money to have the surgery so he could be saved. She fought back tears, signed the papers and handed them to Peter, “Mr. Mollison, so he’s coming tonight?”
“Yes, he will come tonight. Miss Murray, I will be leaving now. You should keep this copy of the contract.” Peter turned and walked out of the Villa.
Sherry was the only person left in the huge Villa. She waited with dread for the night to come. She was about to sell out. No, she had already sold out.
Suddenly, she became nervous and wondered what her employer would be like. She was surprised when she opened the bedroom door on the second floor. The decor was clean and minimalist with a black and white theme. It was grand but somber and even the bed sheets were black and white. It was so clean it looked cold. Sherry suspected this person had obsessive-compulsive disorder.
There was white feminine furniture as if everything was set up for her. The bed was huge and there was a large closet. Inside the closet were light-colored clothes. She had never seen them before, but they were clearly brand name.
She wasn’t interested in brand name products. She just wanted to quickly complete that contract and get back to school to continue her studies. She showered, put on her clothes and waited for her master’s arrival.
At ten o’clock sharp, a luxurious black car without license plates pulled up in front of the Villa.
Sherry’s heart was pounding with anxiety. He had arrived! That man had arrived!
She took a deep breath and stood at the entrance to the living room. She began to hear the sounds of leather shoes walking on the marble floor approaching her. The footsteps paused momentarily at the door and then, with each step, came closer to her. Her heart was practically about to jump out of her throat.
The door suddenly opened and the image of a tall man filled her eyes. He was wearing a pair of shiny leather shoes and straight pants. As her gaze continued upward, his body was lean and well-proportioned with no paunch. But he was wearing a fox mask, like those worn at costume parties.
Sherry’s heart was still racing and she began to feel dizzy and couldn’t steady herself.
The man’s sharp gaze passed over Sherry’s fidgety expression and he said, “Is that you, Sherry?”
