Chapter 100:.

“It’s up to you!” William took a cigarette for himself and passed one to Liam as well.

Liam called Leon out of the room to ask, “Hey bro, cheer up.”

Leon looked at Liam silently and gave a bitter smile without saying anything.

Liam patted Leon’s shoulder, “Leon, are you okay? Love is so mysterious as to always hurt humans.”

William also asked, “Leon, what do you think?”.

“I’m totally blank in my mind.” Leon said.

He may be crazy; he thought he was crazy. He kept missing Susan very much for years; even though he knew it was impossible to get her, he couldn’t help but miss her.

Leon perked up, “Let’s sing. Sorry to ruin your happiness.”

In the KTV, the loud metallic music was always heard everywhere.

Under the dark light in that decadent, fuzzy atmosphere of their room, Celia and Ashley concentrated on singing a love song; one sang as the male singer while the other sang as the female.

Ashley had a sweet voice, but Celia had something wild in her voice.

Sherry sat quietly on the couch to listen to her singing.

Liam asked her carefully, “Sherry, why don’t you sing a song?”.

Ashley and Celia pretended to be unhappy with Liam’s special care for Sherry.

Sherry shook her head to say, “I’m not good at it.”

Celia passed the microphone to Sherry, “Why not, give it a try.”

Sherry instinctively glanced at William; he was also watching her very fondly.

Sherry felt shy, so her face turned red.

Liam toasted Leon with a wine and said to Sherry, “Start! I’m listening. Or you have to finish the wine.”

Sherry tried to say, “But…”.

Celia suggested, “Please. I know you’re good at singing. You can sing your father’s favorite song. It’s an old song called Flowers in the Sea. You sang it in school and a lot of kids were obsessed with you because of it.”

Sherry was not happy to hear it. In her school days, she did sing the song because her father liked it so much.

Did it obsess a lot of boys? William was annoyed and narrowed his eyes; he’d love to hear it.

Sherry saw William frown and had to agree, “Okay. I’ll give it a try. Please excuse me if it’s no good.”

She hadn’t sung a song since her dad died.

“You are so tender to give me a dream. Lying in your arms is like in the swaying of the waves of the sea. You are so passionate to sway my sleep. Lying on your body is like sticking to the mysterious dew of the sea. My dream comes true; turning around, I only see that the world is covered by the waves of the sea; only the grudge with the patterns of the water remains. I wish you that we can accompany each other forever in another life. You are so special to ruin my dream. My whole life is like a bubble in the water, shining but ending soon. My dream comes true; when I turn around, I only see the world is covered by the huge waves; only grudge with the water patterns remains. I wish you…” Sherry sang with great emotion.

Her father liked the song very much, and so did she; she especially liked the lyrics that spoke of complicated, uninterpreted affection. Sherry’s voice was soft and beautiful enough to stun the audience.

William concentrated on her singing.

Everyone was silent when she finished the song.

Sherry was somewhat embarrassed, “I said I’m not good at it.” She put down the microphone and walked over to the couch to take a seat.

At that point, everyone applauded.

William decided that in the future he would not allow Sherry to sing a song to anyone but him; she had such a seductive voice that it excited his mind.

Ashley said with a smile, “I like your singing. It’s really amazing. In fact, my aunt loves the song too and always listens to it at home. Sherry, it’s fate that brought us together.”

But Sherry was a little unsettled by his words. She knew her father loved the song, so the woman must like it for sure.

William came to sit next to her. Then the others began to sing and Celia and Ashley’s voices were heard one after the other.

Liam and Leon were still drinking.

Sherry kept her eye on William, who sat too close to her. She had to back up to avoid him.

William didn’t like her move and scowled at her, “Sit up straight. You’re going to fall over by backing up any further.”

Sherry said in a whisper, “Please keep your distance.”

William gave a short reply, “Be nice, honey.”

Sherry looked up at him to meet his beautiful eyes that were trying to draw her in. She was nervous and shy, her hands clasped closely.

William kept saying softly, “Don’t sing the song anymore.”

But Sherry didn’t hear him because of the loud singing of the others. She asked, “What did you say?”

William went over to her and hugged her soon. Before Sherry realized what William was doing and didn’t push him away, she fell on top of him.

Sherry was carried away by his special scent right then and there.

How could she do that in public? However, William whispered to Sherry, “Don’t sing the song to anyone else!”.

She was stunned, “Oh?”.

He continued, “You’re so special to ruin my dream…”

What did he mean?

He said, “The song is just for me!”

At that moment, Liam turned to look at the lovely couple, then winked and took a drink. After all was said and done, he got up to join Celia and Ashley in singing the song, “It’s My Turn.”

Everyone present was happy to sing and talk, except Leon, who had had too much wine, but couldn’t have been more sober.

William whispered again to Sherry, “You’re mine. You can’t sing the song to anyone else. I don’t allow the other one to hear it.”

Sherry’s voice was sexy enough to sexually arouse him. Sherry felt William’s breath on her ear in addition to having a special feeling in her mind.

She had to push him away and take another seat. It was too noisy in the room; William pulled her out of the room.

Sherry was quick to say, “Hey, everyone’s still here. Not good…”

William frowned to say, “Not good?”.

Out of the room, he got her face to kiss her bright red lips. What a French kiss! It really surprised Sherry.

She had to say, “William, stop!”

He asked, “Why?”

She was not willing to talk anymore and pushed him to say, “We have to go back.”

William said, “No, we’re going home.”

Sherry said, “My bag is in the room and the party isn’t over. We can’t leave now.”

“I’m going to get it.” William thought nothing of her words and went to get her bag.

In a minute, he returned with her bag.

Sherry could do nothing, only say, “Celia will blame me for my hasty departure.”

William said, “Relax! I’m right here with you. Let’s go home. Please fix something to eat. I’m very hungry now.”

Sherry said, “You’ve had some meat for dinner.”

William patted her head and said, “It’s not good. I prefer what you cook for me.”

Sherry always prepared delicious food for him; he began to refuse other foods. She was worried he wouldn’t feel well from hunger, “Ok, let’s go.”

William was pleased with the result. He saw the beautiful lips he kissed at that moment; before they left, he couldn’t help but give her another kiss and let her go.

“Mom? Wow, here is as big as Uncle Alexis’ house! I love you here!” shouted Dan as soon as they entered the villa.

William asked, “Do you like it?”

Dan said nodding, “Sure, but where’s Sammy, can you keep Sammy here?”

William squatted down to meet Dan’s eyes and asked, “Did you meet Grandpa?”

Dan replied, “Yes. But I don’t know if it’s that hard to talk to your dad. He didn’t listen to me at all. Uncle, I don’t like him. He doesn’t know how to laugh; how poor he is.”

Dan’s response inspired William to think about it.

His daddy couldn’t laugh; how poor he was; exactly how long had it been since he’d laughed? In his memory, his daddy had never laughed; he must have had a really hard time!

William didn’t expect a five year old to tell him the truth. William began to understand his daddy; if he took Samuel, Daddy would have to….. He refused to think any further!

William turned to pat Dan’s head and said, “Dan, let’s get something to eat first. After lunch, I’ll drop you off at school. Your mom will be going on a trip with me. On the weekend, Celia will pick you up from school, is that okay with you?”

Everything was well arranged, but William kept asking Daniel’s opinion.

Dan asked him instead of answering his question, “Dude, do you really love my mom?”

Sherry was coming down from the second floor and heard, at the corner of the staircase, Daniel’s question; she stopped to listen more.

William watched the adorable Daniel ask a serious question; he gave a nod.

Daniel said cheerfully, “Glad to hear it. Don’t worry about me. I’ll be good to Celia. Enjoy your trip.”

Sherry didn’t know William’s answer and her heart skipped a beat. Last night, after being home, William and Sherry had a wonderful time; Sherry felt like a woman in love and couldn’t be happier.

However, he had never spoken to her in sweet words; she felt embarrassed to ask him.

Sherry had to believe that it wasn’t wrong for them to get along in that way. After taking a deep breath, she went downstairs to the living room.

William and Daniel turned to see her. At that moment, Sherry had them both in her sights, mistakenly thinking they were real dad and son.

She said, “I’m going to cook.”

Daniel whispered to William, “Mommy’s shy!”

“Brat, do you know that?”

Daniel said proudly, “Sure, I’m smart. My teacher always says I’m smart.”

“Go see your room upstairs. I’ve decorated it. You and Sammy have your own room up there.”

Daniel hurried to the second floor, “Ok. I can’t wait to see.”

William came over to talk to Sherry while she was frying eggs, “After Dan goes to school, shall we take a trip to Hokkaido?”

Sherry was hesitant, “Why take a trip?”

“We’re between jobs, why not relax on a trip? I was thinking of taking you to Italy, but the plane takes too long to get there. I’m afraid you’ll be too tired, so we might as well go to Hokkaido. Or how about Jeju, which one do you like?”

Sherry turned to look at him. William asked her which one she would like to go to. Did her opinion play a role?

She merely said, “It’s up to you. I don’t know.”

Sherry had never traveled. She had no money, and no time. She was too busy with part-time jobs without any fun leisure activities.

How could she best choose between Hokkaido and Jeju? Finally, she remembered that Hokkaido was more highly recommended in the TV program and she also liked the quiet life there.
