Chapter 18:.

“Heads up!” William smiled, his voice sounded more to the heart, “Do you like to look at your own feet while talking to other people?”.

“Ah!”, his face reddened.

Then she awkwardly lifted her head and looked into his eyes.

Looking into his eyes that dazzled like black gems was so enchanting.

“Can you do it?”. she asked him earnestly.

“Yes I can!”. Sherry took a deep breath and answered firmly.

No matter what, she would do her best and try her best.

In her world there was no such thing as failure, because she would not allow herself to fail. She had to raise Dan, Who was the source of her confidence!

He Said, “Great! I wanted a definite answer!”

“Thank you for Mr. Rowland’s help!”. Sherry thanked him sincerely.

“Let’s eat together!”. he looked at her as he said that.

“What?”., she was stunned because she thought she misheard him.

“Get your things, get out of work and eat with me!”., he drank his coffee and got up.

His tall, big figure was so oppressive.

“Mr. Rowland, I’m sorry! I have things to do! I’m leaving!”, she was supposed to pick up her son. It was already so late… Oh my God, he’s going to be late!

She ran out quickly.

William’s jaw dropped.

It was the first time a woman had ever turned him down!

William followed Sherry, who was leaving quickly. Sherry got off, walked out the front door of the company and ran straight to the bus stop.

William slowly drove his sapphire blue Bugatti to the company door. He glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw Sherry’s slender figure in front of the bus stop sign.

She was anxiously twirling her watch. His keen gaze was riveted on her figure.

Sherry was anxiously waiting for the bus. Suddenly, she felt someone watching her. –

Eating together how, her intuition made her quickly raise her head and look at the road.

No one was there, there were just a lot of cars coming and going.

She shook her head silently.

Suddenly, her phone rang.

Sherry was startled before quickly picking up the phone.

“Sherry, what are you doing? I picked up Dan, you don’t have to run anymore…. Go straight home!” Celia’s voice was heard from the other end.

“Thank you, Celia!”. Sherry was panicking and didn’t think Celia had already picked up her son.

That’s a good thing, otherwise she would be very sad at the thought of Dan’s look of disappointment.

She was so tired and nervous that day, but once she thought about Dan? No matter how hard it was, it was worth the sadness.

She unexpectedly ran into Mr. Rowland and Miss Rhodes kissing, but then Mr. Rowland acted as if nothing had happened.

Fortunately, he did not dismiss her.

It seemed that Mr. Rowland was not an unpleasant person who held a grudge.

Sherry looked down at her red, scalded hands…. Once again she’d gotten in trouble and she wasn’t fired for it. At that thought, Sherry smiled as if she had won the lottery.

William kept circling Sherry’s figure. His Bugatti slowly cruised past her all the way to the bus stop sign. As in the rear view mirror, her diminutive figure became clearer and clearer.

“Sherry, have you prepared the dress for the company celebration this weekend?”. asked Alice.

“Should we wear a dress?”. Sherry gaped, “Can’t I come?”.

“No way! How can you not go?”.

As they were talking, Miss Hines arrived and reported, “The company celebration will be held at the Kinga Hotel this Saturday. Dresses for the ladies and suits for the men!”.

“Phew!” Sherry frowned. Dresses! So expensive!

The long-awaited Saturday arrived.

Luckily, Celia had dresses and their figures were similar. Sherry asked Celia if she could borrow a dress.

Celia gave her a white dress that had a Brazilian feel to it.

After Sherry put it on, Celia and Dan were stunned.

“Sherry, you should wear strapless dresses like this! It shows off your perfect collarbone and chest. Oh, my God, that guy’s going to get a nosebleed!”.

“Celia, how can my mommy wear such sexy clothes without anyone protecting her? No, I’m coming too! I want to protect Mommy so no pervert can get near her!”. Dan was very anxious.

“Hal! Boy, it’s a good thing…. You’re getting a new daddy!”.

“I don’t want a daddy, I just want to grow up fast and marry mommy!”. Dan patted his chest proudly, “I can protect Mommy!”.

“Hehe!” Celia giggled, “Boy, you sure love your mommy! When you grow up, your mommy will be old!”.

“My mommy won’t get old!”. cried Dan, “Celia too!”.

“Yes! We’ll never grow old! Not getting old is a strange thing!”. Celia laughed loudly.

If they didn’t age, they’d be the millennial turtles.

“All right, stop laughing. Look, do I look all right?” Sherry looked in the mirror, “No, I don’t want to be noticed. I just want to go unnoticed.”
