“Quick, get up!”. Sherry straightened up and shouted angrily. Her face flushed with embarrassment, but what was the use of being embarrassed? She chided herself. She glared angrily at William again, but he seemed to be pleased that the others saw her kissing her.

“I’ll have the nurse give you a shot!”. William smiled without letting go of his grip on her waist. His other hand began to tuck her hair behind her ear, “Let him see us and he’ll know you’re my wife!”

“When did I ever agree to that?”. She was stunned. Her face flushed so red it couldn’t get any redder.

“You didn’t object when I kissed you a moment ago!” William said as a matter of fact, “I’ve made my mark and you can no longer deny it!”

“And, you must not be a shield for anyone! You are not made of steel!” The tone of his words stunned her – did he really consider her his wife?

Sherry glanced at William’s handsome face in bewilderment. His thin cheeks looked as if they had been chiseled by an axe. His features were not as delicate as Liam’s, but deep and pronounced. He was extremely handsome and one could detect both intelligence and ferocity in his smile.

“But who wants to murder Mr. Brooks? Mr. Rowland, get Mr. Brooks back in the country quickly!”. She was clearly worried about Liam.

“Sherry!” William frowned. He would punish her immediately if she cared so much about another man!

“What’s the reason for this?” William’s piercing gaze flicked to Liam’s handsome face.

“Last year I came in to conduct a downsizing exercise. I fired a worker who was late for work. She explained the reason, but I didn’t listen to her and fired her. She then spent a year without a job. She could not replace a job in the same sector because she did not show punctuality at work and that affected her. Sherry stood in the doorway and listened to their conversation. She now understood that the person who had injured her was due to work reasons. And they were so nice! Once Annika returned to work, she immediately went to the hospital to visit Sherry.

Sherry didn’t expect him to joke and couldn’t help but laugh, “But I’ve had enough sleep!”.

William smiled when she laughed, “Then you have no choice, you’ll have to see me all day today.”

Sherry thought this person was well aside from being a macho guy and liked to womanize. He also had a tender side and now he didn’t disgust her.

“I don’t know!” William was tapping away at his laptop. He was playing the game Dan had designed. He hadn’t expected a five-year-old to be able to design such an interesting game. William’s gaze deepened and bored into Sherry’s eyes, “Are you very surprised?”.

Sherry’s face turned red and her hands began to shake and panic as she said, “No, no! Let’s go back now.” She quickly got off the bed.

“Does it bother you that I have a child?” asked William.

“Why should I mind?”. replied Sherry instantly. What did it have to do with her that he had a son?

William said nothing and his expression became very deep, but Sherry didn’t notice.

She had an indescribable feeling, but she was very surprised that William had a son. Then he must have a wife. If he had a wife, then why had he been stalking her?

She must stay away from him from now on.

Sherry was very quiet on the way back.

After disembarking from the plane, William instructed Liam to send her to the hospital, but Sherry didn’t think it was necessary. She just needed to go to the hospital to get her stitches out. Now she wanted to see her person. “Mr. Brooks, please send me to this address.”

Sherry turned and saw a little boy who was about Dan’s age. The child was crying bitterly. The child was beautiful. It was rare to see such a beautiful child and he was about the same age as Dan.

Sherry took Dan’s hand, walked over and asked the little boy, “Dude, are you okay?”.

The little boy, who was crying, looked up and saw a beautiful aunt. But he was very shy and didn’t dare to speak.

Dad would only come back once in a while. He would say he was going to replace mommy, but he still hadn’t found her. He had no patience to wait any longer.

“Okay!”. Sammy was so glad to hear it. This was the first time he was going to someone else’s house!

Sammy lowered his head guiltily. It wasn’t right for him to say that about his father. But he didn’t mean it. He just said it in passing and didn’t think anyone would believe him.

“Don’t be scared. I’ll have my mother file a police report and have the police arrest your father, then you won’t be in danger anymore!”. Dan patted his chest to promise Sammy.

Sammy was surprised and swallowed hard. He didn’t want the police to arrest his father. He was wrong. He didn’t want to blame his father.

Back home.

Sherry cooked for the two children and thought she should send the boy back after dinner. Her Family members must have been very worried.

Sherry was busy preparing dinner and Sammy sat on the couch and looked at Sherry. He felt very close to this aunt and she was very beautiful. How nice if I could have a mom like that, he thought.

Sherry lifted her head and saw the reflection in the window of a pair of round, bright eyes looking back at her. Sherry came out of the kitchen and walked over to the couch, “Dude, what’s your name?”.

“Sammy!” Sammy dutifully replied, “Auntie, your house is so nice! It’s so nice to have a mommy’s smell!”.

Although Sammy’s house was big, but there was no smell of a mommy.

“Haha, what does a mommy smell like?”. Sherry asked curiously.
