“Ocean, you are just like me, you were abandoned by your parents, right?”. said Daniel to the puppet dolphin.

Ocean is the name Daniel gave to his dolphin, “You were also abandoned by your mom and dad, they don’t love you, it’s because you weren’t a good boy, Right?”.

Sherry’s heart shuddered sharply as she heard what her son said, so did what happened yesterday really cause a shadow on him?

William watched Daniel with his deep dark eyes, his lips twitched and he sighed, then felt congested and his throat stung.

Sherry was always busy, she never visited him at the kindergarten during lunch time, why was she there that day? He looked up and saw William approaching him, so he greeted, “Uncle!”.

“Son!” Sherry picked him up and held him in her arms, “You will never be abandoned, I will always be there for you, silly boy, you are my son, Why don’t you believe me!”.

“But…you’ll want children of your own, then when I have little brothers…”. Once she saw William hugging Sherry, she thought maybe Sherry would get married someday.

“Don’t worry, I like to carry you in my arms!”. William felt calmer holding him in his arms, all other feelings were gone, even when he had Samuel in his arms, he didn’t feel that way.

When William thought about that, he shook his head and smiled, this was all too strange, maybe he just felt too sorry for Daniel to make up for the guilt he felt, to comfort himself, that must be it!

He hugged Daniel tighter against himself.

You don’t have to comfort me, you should be comforting my mother, she looks a little sad!”.

How could she say that Daniel looked like William! This teacher really didn’t even think before she spoke, Daniel wasn’t even her own son.

But Sherry didn’t explain anything and said goodbye to the teacher.

“Mom, are we really going to skip class?”. Daniel glanced at Sherry, who was walking toward them.

“Yes, I’ve already asked for a day off, we’ll spend some time with you today!”. She saw that William had been carrying Daniel the whole time, she didn’t know why, but she suddenly felt he looked harmonized, even though he was wearing his suit and leather shoes.

“Miss Murray, can we go?”. William raised his eyebrow.

“Mom, are we going to take Uncle’s car?” Daniel hoped so, but couldn’t bring himself to say it, he could only wait for Sherry to tell him. He really hoped so, he had never been in such a cool car!

Sherry didn’t dare say no, she affirmed.

William walked over to open the door, and sat Daniel inside, he helped him with the seat belt, “We’re going to go pick up another kid, is that okay?”.

“Who?” Daniel was sitting in his seat, his little face looked up at William, “You have a kid too?”.

Sherry wanted to sit in the back, but William stopped her, “You sit in the front, Samuel will sit there!”.

Sherry was pushed to the passenger side by William, “Daniel, do you remember Samuel, he’s William’s son!”.

“Oh, really!”. Daniel was very excited, “So I’ll see him then?”.

“Of course!”.

They quickly went to pick up Samuel, as soon as he saw Sherry, he ran to her very happy, “Miss!”.

“Samuel!” Sherry was very touched by his excitement, she thought it must be because he was missing a mother!

“Get in the car, boy!”. William went to ask permission and then helped Samuel into the back seat. The two boys were very happy to be reunited.

“Samuel, so your father is Mr. Rowland!”. Daniel shook Samuel’s hand, “Why are you still so shy?”.

Samuel’s little face flushed, he looked so excited, he looked at the two adults across from him, and couldn’t understand why his dad and Miss Sherry were suddenly coming to visit him, didn’t his dad get mad when he asked him that last time, “Dad, are we going to Miss Sherry’s for dinner tonight?”.

William looked at his son through the rearview mirror, “You’ll have to ask Sherry about that!”.

Sherry hadn’t expected it all to turn out like this, the two of them taking the kids out to play, one without Dad, the other without Mom, It was all too strange!

“Mom, can’t they come over for dinner? But Uncle was here last night too.” Daniel didn’t even wait for Sherry to answer and got excited.

Samuel looked aggrieved, lowered his head and didn’t dare ask more.
