The Otherworldly Adventures of a Super Naive Girl
Chapter 88: Creating a Sensation at School

“Who taught you to write like this?” This person must have a deep grudge against you.

Jier, who had just returned to his dorm with some take-out, sneezed. Someone talking about me?

“Jier taught me.” Feng Wu gave Jier’s name without hesitation.

“The fire magician you’re working with to complete the missions?” Jier was well-known so Ink knew of the name.

“Yes.”

Ink considered this new information for a few seconds before speaking. “There are other ways to pursue romance, but this kind of letter, don’t write any more like this OK? You’ll replace your own style eventually. Just do not write any more letters like this.”

“There are other ways?” Feng Wu’s eyes shimmered with newfound hope.

Ink had never had a girlfriend or been involved with anyone romantically, but that didn’t stop him from offering advice. “Yes. We’ll just take it slow and easy and I’m sure we’ll replace a style that works for you.”

Would this boy with no experience in love be able to help Feng Wu? The answer didn’t matter. She was comforted by his words.

“Ming Xi, I heard someone gave you a love letter in the dining hall today. To do it in front of so many people, that took guts.” The girl speaking wore a sword user division uniform. She was an incredibly sexy, well-known beauty in the 5th year class. With loose waves of red hair that tumbled to her waist, passionate red bedroom eyes, and a gorgeous body, it was easy to see why. A man could get drunk just from staring.

But watch out, this beauty had a fiery temper to match. Anyone who pursued her needed to be wary. She was violent and not shy about kicking a guy in the balls and emasculating his manhood.

This hot-blooded female sat perched charmingly on the arm of the sofa as she tried to wheedle information out of Ming Xi. The afternoon confession raised quite the gossip storm and she was very interested in replaceing out more.

“Please stop teasing him Big Sister Elena. This whole thing about the love letter is all over school. I’m sure he’s unhappy about it enough as it is.” Luis said this, but his face clearly showed the delight he took in Ming Xi’s discomfort. Ming Xi’s popularity with the girls had always irked him. How could he let such a good opportunity to needle Ming Xi go to waste?

“Your jealousy is showing through.” Gerasi was blunt. How could he not see the underlying meaning behind his roommates supposedly solicitous comment? They’d been together for over four years after all.

Ming Xi was getting a headache and he wanted to get away. “I’m going to read in my room,” was as good an excuse as any.

His roommates could only hold their tongue as Ming Xi walked upstairs to his room. Once he was gone all eyes turned to Tian Ya.

Tian Ya sat on the sofa unperturbed as he continued to wipe his blade.

Elena and the others exchanged glances as they considered asking Tian Ya. The block of ice was too scary. Better to wait and corner Ming Xi later!

It was dinnertime when Jier learned about the love letter incident. Word of Feng Wu’s confession had spread all over school by then. Even if she had nerves of steel, Jier was still worried about her. On top of that, it was the love letter he taught her how to write. She wouldn’t have written one if he hadn’t taught her. He felt responsible for the mess.

He couldn’t let her hole up somewhere by herself and grieve over her broken heart alone. He needed to replace her right away! His roommates were joking about it and having a great time. Jier stood up and kicked the one laughing the most hard in the back. Feng Wu was his friend. He’d be damned if he let them laugh at her expense. He rushed to her dorm to replace her.

Meanwhile the atmosphere in 302 was tense. Jasmine had returned to the dorm after hearing about the confession. Annika, sandwiched between the two of them, didn’t know what to do. She was closer and on better terms with Jasmine. But at the same time Jasmine was behaving like a grump. She could only apologize to Feng Wu with her eyes.

Xi had also heard about it. She wanted to comfort Feng Wu, but the atmosphere in the dorm was so stiff. She was thick-skinned, but even she felt unnerved.

Feng Wu was completely oblivious to the tension. She was enjoying the wonderfully delicious dinner Little White[notes] made. For her part, Little White was feeding Little Bun milk from a bejeweled bottle. Who knew where that came from. Little Bun’s face was rosy and plump – absolutely adorable!

The carefree image presented by the three grated Jasmine the wrong way. She spoke in a voice she knew would carry, “Some people really are shameless. Already have a baby but still dare make a public confession to Senior Ming Xi. Honestly. How thick-skinned can you get?!”

The image of a girl gracefully pouring tea for herself while venom spewed from her mouth was an odd one. Jasmine brought the teacup to her lips to drink. She held it there and peeked over the rim in Feng Wu’s direction before sipping.

“Hey! Watch your mouth. Don’t go over the line.” Jasmine’s little speech was so provocative, Xi had to speak up.

“This has nothing to do with you. We’re the butt of everyone’s jokes because of her. You still want to defend her?”

Jasmine’s words weren’t entirely true. The only one everyone was making fun of was Feng Wu – not the rest of the girls. She was being so aggressive because she never liked Feng Wu since Feng Wu was a commoner.

“Are you talking about to me?” Feng Wu had been preoccupied with eating so she didn’t have the inclination to bother with Jasmine.

“Is there another shameless hussy in the dorm other than you?” Jasmine said before taking another dainty sip. Her movements were so elegant, but her eyes and mouth were so vicious. She sat straight and tall, her posture was reminiscent of a noble looking down on a commoner.

Annika wanted to say something but stopped when she saw Jasmine’s eyes. Both she and Jasmine were magicians. Both were from the upper nobility class. So given a choice between the two, Annika would always chose Jasmine. She liked Feng Wu, but liking her was not a good enough reason to side with her.

Xi ground her teeth. She and Feng Wu were classmates, and they got along well. The relationship she had with Jasmine was not as good. In fact the other girl struck her as too haughty, so Xi had never liked her. Naturally this meant Xi would side with Feng Wu.
