The Strongest Conquest System -
Chapter 92: The Tsundere's' Part 2
Both Azmond and Loki watched the absurd scene unfold with bewildered expressions.
'...His perverse antics must have scrambled his brains...'
'...Are we even remotely related...?'
They pondered simultaneously.
...
"Yah, yah, whatever your majesty. My humble name is Azmond." An indifferent voice sounded out. The tall, handsome figure of Azmond rolled his eyes before doing a little courtsy.
He clearly took Loki's whole egotistic charade as nothing more than one big joke
Loki's eyelids twitched a little when he saw the sarcasm oozing out of Azmond. But, since he was feeling quite sanctimonious today. He decided to let the ignorant mortal off the hook.
'I truly am the kindest God out there!' His thoughts almost leaked a little as the haughty aura pervading the atmosphere grew once again
It was a disturbance that didn't go unnoticed by a certain inconspicuous red giant. A figure who was currently acting like nothing more than a bystander.
'Why is my brother such a narcissist? Even for a god, his egotistical side is a little overwhelming' Thor let out a gruff exasperated sigh as he lightly shook his head in disbelief.
He turned his head back to the ongoing conversation between his brother and the mortal called Azmond. A discussion that seemed to finally progress forwards. He was getting slightly impatient at the slow pace the talk was heading in.
....
"Your name is Azmond, huh." A thoughtful expression emerged on Loki's face as he pondered on the mortal's name.
After a few seconds of contemplation, he asked a question with a puzzled look. "What does your name mean? I have no recollection of ever hearing that name. And, I have seen more people than you have lived in seconds."
He had truly never heard a name quite like Azmond's. It was a very odd and peculiar name in his opinion.
Azmond heard the question Loki asked as clear as day, but he didn't know how to answer it either
His name was the only keepsake he had of his 'parents' from his past life. He was told by the caretakers of the orphanage that he was dropped off in a very elaborately decorated basket at the orphanage doorstep. And, on that basket was a name plaque that said 'AZMOND' in all caps.
Therefore, the caretakers of the orphanage naturally assumed that was his name. So, that's what they called him from that moment onwards.
If you asked him what his opinion was on his name. Well, he would tell you that he really didn't care one way or another. But, he thought the name 'Azmond' had a pretty good ring to it.
He honestly didn't mind it one bit. The name even had a domineering undertone to it. An undertone which he quite appreciated. If he ever met his parents one day, then maybe he would ask them what his name meant.
But, until that highly unlikely event happens. He will continue staying lost in the dark on the meaning of his own name
...
"... Why did you zone out again, human? You get lost in thought so easily" A patronizingly concerned expression emerged on Loki's features.
He began waving his hands in front of Azmond again, trying to snap him of his reverie.
A little trick that surprisingly worked
Azmond came out of his thoughts and saw a monkey dancing in front of him again.
'Why is this blonde pervert always flailing his arms around? I am seriously concerned over his mental health' A pitying look formed on his face as he focused his gaze on Loki.
'... This human is patronizing me again, isn't he?' Loki thought to himself with an irritated look.
Irritation seemed to be a frequent trait on Loki's countenance as of late.
"Whatever, now that we have gotten the pleasantries out of the way, let us get back to the main matter at hand." His annoyed expression turned into a stolid one.
"My name is Azmond, not human. But, yes, I agree. We should discuss more on the 'Order Of The Eternal Flame." He responded back with a voice just as cold.
Loki realized the condescension in Azmond's tone, but he resolved himself to let off for now.
However, that didn't stop a huge vein from bulging on his forehead before beginning to speak. "... The Order Of The Eternal Flame are made up of descendants of Divine Phoenixes, but that is not all.
They also have extremely oldand extremely powerful monsters that joined their organization over an incalculable number of years."
Azmond's expression of expectation was surreal as he continued listening with rapt attention. He didn't want to miss a single detail.
"These old monsters originated from every race imaginable as they came from every walk of life. The only thing that all of these itterant cultivators had in common was their immense strength." He began,
"No one truly knows when lone cultivators began joining up with 'The Order Of The Eternal Flame'. It began out of the blue, and the trend spread faster than anybody could have predicted. They swarmed to that damned organization in droves.
Not a single Paragon God, with all their might even bothered themselves to prevent such an 'uprising'." Loki's emotionless voice became a little irritated when he reached the last part of his piece.
The animosity he had against 'The Order Of The Eternal Flame' was made abundantly clear. Although Azmond had no idea what the precise details of their relationship was. He knew it had to be something irrevocable, an irreversible relationship that devolved into a deep enmity for the other party.
He decided not to dwell on the tumultuous relationships of Loki for now, and instead refocus his attention back on the story telling.
Loki's ire quickly subsided as a calm expression took over his face before continuing his monologue. "The forces of 'The Order Of The Eternal Flame' grew so large that they were able to compete with the Utmost Paragon Gods that ruled over God's Domain.
A level of power that wouldn't be possible if not for their immense number of itterant cultivators."
