Chapter 33: Why Are You Here?

Someone who was specifically chosen wouldn’t do something thoughtlessly.

“Mo Mo, got it?” Xu Mingzhen reminded Tan Mo.

“I got it.” Tan Mo nodded, then looked at her three older brothers who were babbling.

Although her older brothers were clever, they still died miserably in their previous lives. They had been so wretched that they couldn’t wait for the right time to implement their plans and acted hastily.

The three brothers were worried that their younger sister would think ill of them because of the idea they had just come up with.

They spontaneously looked at Tan Mo.

When they arrived at Jixia Academy, the family got out of the car.

The three brothers were still moping.

While Tan Wenci and Xu Mingzhen weren’t paying attention, Tan Mo walked closer to her brothers. “Big brother, second brother, third brother, I will keep your suggestion in mind.”

“Mo Mo, don’t you think our idea isn’t good?” Tan Jinyi asked. He was surprised and pleased.

Tan Mo shook her head. “Mom said that the bottom line is to be a good person, but a good person has their limits. Qin Muxiao uses petty means to deal with me, so why should I be gentle in dealing with her?”

Tan Mo’s eyes brightened, and she said something that could affect her brothers’ lives, “Brothers, you should also remember that if others bully you, you must fight back. Do what you deem fit so you won’t get harmed. One’s revenge can take 10 years. It’s never too late. However, to exact revenge, you must go all out!”

As soon as Tan Mo finished talking, she heard Qin Muye calling her, “Mo Mo!”

“Remember my words!” Tan Mo told her brothers seriously, then immediately turned around to greet Qin Muye. “I’m coming!”

The three brothers watched Tan Mo walked away. They thought about what Tan Mo had just said.

One’s revenge could take 10 years…

To exact revenge, they must go all out…

Tan Jinyi thought, ‘Her words actually make sense.’

Tan Jinsheng murmured, “Mo Mo is so good.”

Tan Jinqi withdrew his gaze and chuckled. “We have always underestimated Mo Mo.”

“Big Brother,” Tan Jinyi began, “although Mom’s words are reasonable, I think Mo Mo’s words are more rational.”

“Yes, remember Mo Mo’s words,” Tan Jinqi agreed with a smile. “Mo Mo means that we should not let others take advantage of us. It’s okay to retaliate. In all things, put ourselves first.”

They didn’t know what was going on in the little girl’s head for her to say such things to them.

Tan Jinsheng breathed a sigh of relief. “I thought that Mo Mo would look down on us for the idea we just came up with.”

“Mo Mo won’t.” Tan Zhiyi was confident in Tan Mo. “She is protecting us.”

The three brothers were touched when they thought of their little sister protecting them, and they took Tan Mo’s words to heart.

The Tan family wasn’t the only family sending off children to Jixia Academy.

Qin Zhenglu and his wife, along with Qin Mufeng, were also there.

The family watched Tan Mo and Qin Muye enter the school gate hand-in-hand.

When the two got inside the premises, Tan Mo waved at them again.

When they could no longer see them, everyone left.

Qin Muye and Tan Mo held hands.

Qin Muye puffed up her cheeks and said, “We aren’t in the same class.”

“It doesn’t matter. I’ll replace you after class, or you can look for me,” Tan Mo said with a smile. “We can do stuff together during break time or after class.”

When Qin Muye thought of this, she was instantly encouraged.

When the two arrived at the door of their respective classes, they parted ways.

Qin Muye had just sat in her seat when she suddenly remembered something. “Ah! I forgot to ask which class Qin Muxiao was in. Please, heavens, don’t let me be assigned to the same class as her.”

Tan Mo also entered the class.

“Why are you here?” Qin Muxiao was chatting with a few girls when she noticed Tan Mo entered.

She was quite happy that she wasn’t in the same class as Qin Muye.

This way, Qin Muye wouldn’t steal the limelight.

In this class, she could show off however she wanted, and a bunch of people was desperate to please her.

Unexpectedly, she saw Tan Mo come in.

How could the daughter of the insignificant Tan family get into Jixia Academy? Who was her backer?

“Of course, it’s the first day in school.” Tan Mo didn’t expect that Qin Muxiao was assigned to the same class as her.

Of course, the hapless one was Qin Muxiao.

Tan Mo suddenly looked at Qin Muxiao and mouthed an ‘O’.

“What are you doing? Stop scaring people!” Qin Muxiao looked at Tan Mo like she was an eyesore.

“I always thought you were older than me, so I kept calling you older sister. It turns out that we’re the same age.” Tan Mo put her hands in front of her chest. “I’m sorry, but I couldn’t tell.”

Everyone didn’t how to react nor what to say.

The students couldn’t help looking at Qin Muxiao’s face.

Everyone was only around six years old, so none of them were that old.

But upon the mention of it, Qin Muxiao indeed looked a bit older than the rest of the class.

Qin Muxiao had strong facial features.

She then pointed to Tan Mo. “How can Jixia Academy accept low-level people like you? If we’re in the same class as a low-level person like you, the entire class’s level will get dragged down. Others will think that our class is a garbage dump that will accept anyone!”

“Oh,” Tan Mo replied nonchalantly and found the desk with her name tag.

“What do you mean?” Qin Muxiao sensed Tan Mo’s indifferent treatment of her and walked to Tan Mo’s desk.

The classmates all saw Qin Muxiao’s dislike for Tan Mo, but they weren’t in a hurry to take sides.

Although the eight big families would all enter Jixia Academy, the class population wasn’t that large. Coupled with the issue of age gap, in fact, having one in the class could already be considered lucky.

Like in Tan Mo’s class, Qin Muxiao was the only one.

There was only Qin Muye in the class next door.

Simply put, for the people in the current class, Qin Muxiao’s so-called status was the highest, so none of the students dared to offend her. They wanted to establish good relations with her.

However, the homeroom teacher came in before Qin Muxiao could calm down.

Everyone returned to their seats, and Qin Muxiao could only sit back, annoyed.

“Today is the first day of school. You introduce yourselves first. In the next six years, everyone will be in the same class, so get along well,” the homeroom teacher Huang announced.

The students immediately became excited since this was a great chance to learn about the backgrounds of their classmates.

They were especially curious about Tan Mo.

The students all listened to the self-introductions of their classmates. Besides the Qin family, their families were all quite prominent as well.

“My name is Tan Mo.” Tan Mo stood up. “I’m six years old this year.”

Tan family?

Never heard of them.

Everyone pondered for a while, and they realized that Qin Muxiao was right.

She really was from a small family.

They wondered how she got in. Her parents must have known someone from the eight prominent families.
