Chapter 230

Keith saw her tears and was genuinely startled.

"Alright, alright, it's my fault. Please don't cry. I promise I won't upset you next time, okay?"

His voice was a bit shaky, betraying his nerves. Amara nodded, wiping away her tears. That was when she noticed Louis, Cedric, and the rest of the crew standing nearby, watching her and Keith. Instantly, she felt self-conscious.

She gently pushed Keith away and addressed them, "Mr. Zade, Louis, I'm really sorry for causing trouble today."

Cedric and Louis immediately jumped in to reassure her, saying as long as she was okay, it wasn't a bother at all.

While they exchanged pleasantries, Finnian stood nearby, observing. He had climbed up the ladder just a bit earlier and had caught the moment Keith was holding Amara tightly. His pupils contracted, his face remaining expressionless as he watched them, oblivious to Will's attempts to talk to him.

Seeing this, Will gave up trying to engage Finnian and moved over to Amara's side, asking, "Mrs. Sullivan, I mean Ms. Sullivan, are you alright now?"

Amara snapped back to reality, realizing Finnian and Will were there, and quickly replied, "I'm fine now, thank you so much."

She slowly walked over to Finnian and said, "I really owe you one, Mr. Everly. I don't know what I would have done without you today. I must make it up to you sometime."

"Yeah, as long as you're okay."

Once they were up, Finnian noticed Amara's hair was a mess, with bits of dirt in it. She looked quite disheveled, though he imagined he probably didn't look much better himself.

"You should go clean up and get some rest," he suggested.

"Okay, I'll head back then," she replied as she nodded, and then left with Keith.

Keith escorted her back to her room. Amara urged him to get some rest himself, as she planned to take a shower and sleep.

Keith nodded, but just as Amara was about to leave, he suddenly pulled her into a tight hug.

A bit surprised, Amara asked, "What's with you? I'm fine, aren't I? Why are you still so worried?"

Keith released her and looked at her intently, without saying a word at first. Then he spoke, "If you want to keep the baby, go ahead. It's not a big deal."

Amara was taken aback.

"You're not against it anymore?"

Keith chuckled. "The baby's inside you. It's not like my opposition matters. If you want to keep it, keep it. Just think it through."

A warmth spread through Amara's heart. "Alright, I will. You should get some rest now."

Amara was surprised at how quickly Keith had come around. Then again, having a child out of wedlock wasn't such a big deal these days. Besides, she had a successful career and enough money; she could manage just fine on her own. Keith's having protested at it fiercely earlier probably just because he needed some time to wrap his head around it. swnovel

After leaving Amara's room, Keith returned to his own and collapsed onto the couch, letting out a heavy sigh. He hadn't spoken much to Amar@all day, but he had been quietly observing her. When be realized she was missing after the shoot, he was curious about where she'd gone. swnovel

Then Will came running to Cedric, saying that Amara and Finnian had fallen into a sinkhole. That news had ified Keith, nearly scaring the life out of him. Swnovel

While others might not understand the significance of such a fall, Keith knew all

too well.
