Amara slipped into a sleek evening gown that hugged her figure perfectly, highlighting her curves in all the right places. The neckline teased just enough to capture attention, making her the kind of woman that could easily make any man's heart race.

Her eyes, already captivating, were enhanced with expertly applied makeup, giving her an enchanting allure with every glance.

Below her eyes was a mysterious butterfly mask, adding an air of seductive mystery. Did she realize just how captivating she looked tonight?

Amara instinctively wanted to deny it, but then she thought, why should she? She nodded and said, "I'm not in a good mood, so please step aside, I need to leave."

Truth be told, she was a bit intimidated by Finnian, but if he wasn't angry, she had no qualms about expressing her feelings.

Finnian watched her profile, noticing that Amara hadn't looked at him even once. Why was that?

"What do you want? I can buy it for you."

He meant to convey that the things Liliana wanted couldn't be shared with Amara, but he was willing to buy Amara whatever she desired separately.

This statement caught Liliana off guard, her eyes widening as she glanced up, her fists clenched in surprise. Amara was taken aback too, but quickly realized Finnian was probably worried about gossip reaching Kevin, who might then reprimand him. So, he was just putting on a show with these words.

"I don't need anything," she replied. "I can buy what I want myself."

She had already asked them to move twice, and they still wouldn't budge. Amara was too polite to ask a third time.

So, she simply squeezed past Finnian, her movement a tad drastic, making sure to create enough space for Elysia to follow.

But for Finnian, that meant her soft body brushed against him. The warm scent enveloped him, her fair skin grazing his despite the suit jacket between them. He could still feel her warmth.

In that instant, it was like an electric shock, leaving Finnian momentarily stunned.

Amara successfully led Elysia

outside. Elysia was still fuming. She grabbed Amara's hand, saying,

"Finnian, that jerk, finally grew a

conscience and offered to buy net

something. You shouldn't have

turned him down; those offers don't come around often."

"Ama, I get it," Elysia added after a moment's thought. "You see your marriage to Finnian as a transaction. You took his money, he benefited

from the arrangement, so neither of

you owes the other anyth either of

But don't forget, you're carrying Finnian's child. Whether you keep the baby or not, it's a burden for you, and it's only fair you get more out of it."

"And even if it isn't fair, who cares? Every man for himself, and the devil takes the hindmost. You should look out for yourself. Finnian's got plenty to spare, so there's no harmon treating yourself better."

Amara chuckled at Elysia's words, but she knew Elysia had a point. She nodded and said, "Alright, next time he offers, I won't refuse."

Barely half an hour after they got home, Will called her. "Mrs. Everly, Mr. Everly would like to buy you something. Just let me know what you want, and I'll take care of it."

"We're getting divorced, so don't call me that," Amara replied. "I'll think about what I want and then send it to you."
