Kane and I were laid in bed, the pain of the miscarriage still slightlythere. He was rubbing my back softly and telling me about hischildhood when we heard Forest let out a shrill scream. Both me andcanine pulled apart and ran to check on Forest, When we got toForest's nursery we saw him, he was stunningly gorgeous. He was paleand had bright teal eyes, A vampire. He had Forest in his arms andmade no move to harm him what so ever. Kane was upset you couldsee his wolf was just under his skin.

" May I have my child? " I spoke softly trying not to surprise thevampire. He saw me and kissed Forest on the head and laid him in hiscrib and tried to flee but Kane wolfed out and blocked the way thevampire came in. The vampire panicked and started dry heaving as if hewas having a panic attack.

"Kane, Atreo, Stop Now *

Atreo, Kane's wolf looked at me and shot me the nastiest glare possiblebefore stepping away, only to guard our child. I tried to see if thevampire was alright but Kane had a rough grip on my arm.

"Let go of me Kane, now!"

He let go slowly but kept watching the vampire ready to rip his head offhis shoulders. I walked closer and kneeled down and touched thevampires face, His eyes locked onto my face and he could only stare.He was so short and small.

"Are you alright, pequeno ( Little one)" I asked softly, I was prettyconfused on how I suddenly could speak other languages but rolledwith it anyway, the vampire's eyes darted to Kane and he began tofreak out again and I turned and saw Kane walking over instead of Kaneattacking him Kane spoke softly,

"He's you're alma gemela ( soul-mate) Isn't he?"

"He is my Alma Gemela y...yes"

" What is your name young blood?"

" Thanatos, Thanatos Alexander

" From the Alexander clan, I presume? "

I watched Kane question the young blood thoroughly asking everyquestion imaginable. I finally shot Kane the that's enough look. It wasalmost morning about five am based on the sunlight levels. Foreststarted to cry and I watched as Kane stepped out of the way andThanatos walked slowly towards Forest's crib, He picked Forest up and Iwatched Thanatos look to see if that was alright I smiled reassuringhim. He sat in the rocking chair and rocked Forest to sleep, singingHallelujah as if he had done it a million times before. I watched as thebeta walked upstairs and almost wolf out before Kane told him to stopbecause it was fine. I watched two much older vampires leapt onto theporch and watched Thanatos sing softly to Forest. The older vampirespoke softly as soon as Thanatos stopped singing.

"Lord Thanatos, we must leave now there are important things to tendto, rather than playing with mutts"

"Enough, Orazio you speak ill of my alma gemela's family, do not let ithappen again!"

"Sorry you're highness"

With that Thanatos handed Forest to me and took off with the oldervampires, Forest woke up and his face got all scrunched up and hebegan to cry again, I rocked him back and forth softly trying to get himto sleep, but stopped when I knew he wouldn't sleep and would wantto be fed.
