10 - Chapter Ten - Thanatos Alexander's Point Of View

Today was a Sunday. It was also the day that we got our first look at ourbaby bean. Forest has been looking forward to this all week, I too waslooking forward to seeing our baby. Our appointment wasn't until one-thirty in the afternoon but Forest was up at Eight am.

I tried to get him to go back to bed but he was far too excited to sleep.I crawled out of bed at Nine after realizing I sure as hell was nevergoing to get back to sleep. I pulled a pair of sweatpants on and a largelong sleeve shirt on, I was starving.

I walked down the stairs and Quinn was sitting on the couch drinkingtea talking to Emerald. I looked at my watch. It was only nine-thirty whywas Emerald here. I yawned and walked to the kitchen and began tolook for my jar of cherries that I had been craving since I got up. I sawForest eating the last couple of cherries out of the jar with a fork.

I told myself to calm down. It was only cherries, but I mean they weremine and little beans cherries. I walked into the living room and I'mpretty sure the air in the room chilled a few degrees.

I knew Forest was playing it off that he never noticed me. I got right inhis face.

" Forest, Those were mine... My cherries.”

"Were they 7"

Hes:

"Sorry, if it counts there were only four left.”

"Yes, but they were my four cherries.”

"Calm down I'll get more Than"

"Are you just going to sit there, seriously, you have somewhere to beForest." I raised my voice.

"Il have nowhere to be"

I set my hand on my belly and began to rub it trying to calm downbefore I screamed my lungs out at Forest. Both Quinn and Emeraldwere watching the whole thing with the most fun looks on their faces."Forest as much as I love you if you don't give me a new jar of cherriesin the next twenty minutes, I will have you sleep outside for the nextfive years! Best hurry my love," I said smiling the biggest smile.

I'd never seen Forest run so fast he was out of the chair and out of thehouse in a few seconds flat. Kane walked down the stairs into the livingroom and sat beside Quinn,

"What was that all about, he took his car keys and bank card and didn'teven say goodbye on his way out?"

" He ate my cherries, I told him to get me more before he sleepsoutside for five years."

"Oh, Makes sense, you never eat your mates’ food, especially when theyare carrying your child, Evil they become.”

Me, Quinn and Emerald all looked at Kane in disapproval, we were allcurrently pregnant.

Kane smiled at Quinn once more before he went into hiding. Forestcame back with an entire case of my cherries. I walked over to him andkissed him passionately, I told him he was the best. He still lookedmildly scared of me.

A couple of hours later Emerald drove us to the clinic and took us to hisoffice, he laid me down on the special bed and spread the cold gel onmy growing belly and Used the machine to show us both our baby. Hesaid he couldn't tell the gender yet but he said I would give birthanywhere from six to eight months because our baby is a hybrid

Forest held onto the photo of our baby the entire ride home, when hegot home he finally broke into tears mumbling about how happy hewas, He was also embarrassed about crying, Kane spoke up and said hebawled his eyes out over all his children.

Quinn said he cried the most out of both of them, Both Forest and Ilaughed, Forest showed them the photo of our baby. they both hadtears in their eyes. they both were going on about havinggrandchildren. There was so much happiness in the air over the photoof Forest and I's baby. In the back of my mind, I felt like I needed to tellmy parents but I pushed that away. They would just lose their mindsright now about it. After all, I was pregnant and going to have a baby inthe middle of them having a war.
