12 - Chapter Twelve - Thanatos Alexander's Point Of View

When I woke up I was in bed alone, I figured forest hand left to go toschool. I was right he had left for school. I crawled out of bed and wenton a hunt to replace food. The baby had started to be able to kick about aweek ago and it was magical. Forest was excited. He was just buzzingabout the baby kicking. He was taking this whole baby thing so well. Ihad no fears about him being a bad father, all the fears about parentingwere with me.

My parents were made aware of their going to be born grandchild afew days ago and they were not all that happy that they had only beenreplaceing out right now. I said I was sorry and told them it was because Iwasn't sure if I was going to be able to actually carry a child. Also, Ididn't want them to be mad. I was carrying a child in the middle of thewar.

My mother told me to stop worrying and it will be fine, she said thateven she had these same fears when she was carrying me. She said shewould come to see me the moment she was free of all the things shehad to do well. My father settled the war. Lucca had given my peoplemore land and told them to be wise and not greedy with the land.Lucca and Em had been coming over far more to keep me companywell Forest was at school, Forest and I were happy together, he wasexcited about being a father and he couldn't wait to meet his child.

Em brought me baby clothing for our baby and that sent Kane runningwith teary eyes about how he could remember when his children werestill babies. Quinn could only laugh as his husband and mate turnedinto a softy.

I walked down the stairs to hear a very angry Quinn yelling and doorsslamming, it had to only be like eleven am why were they yelling. I wentto replace out what all the screaming was about. When I walked down thehall I laid my eyes on a Forest with yellow eyes and bloody clothing. Myfirst instinct was to baby him and I tried but he pushed me away andwent to shower.

I stood there stunned that he pushed me away from him. I went to replaceQuinn and when I found him he was in tears, his head in his hands. I'dnever felt such sadness from him and it broke my heart. I walkedquickly over to him and hugged him.

" Quinn, what's wrong?”

" Your mate, he punched a teacher and they want to take him to areform center to learn how to behave"

" What did the teacher do?"

" The teacher was the history teacher and the teacher told forest thatthe alpha war was only won because the vampires grew toouncontrollable and rabid and they were put down.”

" That's not true and I won't let forest fall for something that means alot to him."

" Thanatos, what are you going to do? They want to take him away in afew days for over a year."

"1 won't allow that, I will go to his trial and I will go to the school rightnow and speak to the teacher.”

Before Quinn could say anymore I walked up the stairs and waited forForest to get out of the shower when he did I told him to get dressed.He got dressed and asked what I was doing. I told him we were goingto the school and we were going to have a long talk with this teacher.His face looked shocked but he nodded his head and followed me outto the car. He said nothing the entire ride, when we got to the schoolthe principal tried to stop Forest from entering but I told him to holdhis tongue unless he wanted to get into with me again.

We walked to the teachers’ classroom, there were kids that were staringand gasping because they knew who I was. I saw my nephews and theywaved before telling me I looked good, and they couldn't wait for theirnew cousin. I walked to the teacher's classroom and just about had aheart attack when I saw who the teacher was. My uncle's eyes met mineand I saw the bruise on his cheek and I tried hard to suppress a laughbut It was flooded from my lips.

" Thanatos, what are you laughing at my nephew?"

" The bruise my lover left on your cheek."

" Ah, so he spoke the truth then, the young alpha is your mate. but hesaid nothing about his bun in your oven."

"It's new, and you do realize because of you my mate is going to betaken away from me and if that happens I will take everything awayfrom you, do you understand me, uncle Merck."

"Oh Than, I won't send your mate away, I made the alpha angry so thatI could see you, if you were truly his mate I knew you would run hereand rescue him.” my uncle said waving his hands around in the air."You made his mother worry and I won't allow you to make him cry.”Forest walked into the room and his face was smug, he wrapped hisarms around my waist. I stared at him and then tried to tackle him butForest held me in place, reminding me I was carrying a child andattacking him was too dangerous to his pups’ health and mine. Aftermy uncle and I and Forest all talked he took us to the office anddropped the charges and said it was a mistake and the principal shotme a dirty look and my uncle turned around and slammed the principalagainst the wall and told him to be more respectful to the people whogave him the job.

Forest and I went home, he was suspended for a few days but that wasa given because he punched a teacher. Forest and I spent the rest ofthe day cuddling and going through baby names and clothing. Myuncle had a flair for the dramatics and I knew this but all that just to seeif I was Forest's mate like he had actually said. That was a new low formy uncle.

Forest was relaxing on the couch a few hours later when I decided tocall my parents and replace out how the war was going and if they neededanything from me. They didn't answer my call and that annoyed medeeply but I honestly wasn't all that surprised by the whole thing. Myparents ignored me all the time. My parents were always too busy forany of their children but it didn't stop them from having more whenthey wanted to.

Sitting beside Forest on the couch he smiled at me before going backto watching his T.V program. Whatever he was watching was mildlyfunny and I also found myself watching it after a few moments. Quinnhad taken Kane out on a long run so that he didn’t tan Forests hide forpunching one of the teachers. Even though it wasn't fully his fault.
