Alpha Daddy -
Chapter 29
"Joey, why are you all the way over there?" I frowned at my baby. He looked so frigid and emotionless. It scared me. My baby wasn't like that. "Joey." I whispered. He glanced away from me to the window beside me.
I sighed before swinging my legs off the bed, ignoring the searing pain at my side before slowly standing up. "Ariana!" Both Caleb and Jackson scolded rushing to my side. "im fine." I frowned pulling my arms away from them. "Mommy." Zoe whimpered crawling off the bed to stand by my side. "I'm fine." I assured her before taking a step to a wide eyed Joey. I hissed feeling the wound tug.
"Mommy lay down!" Joey shouted rushing to my side. I gave him a cheeky smile before letting him help me back into my bed. "So would you like to tell me why you were avoiding me like I had the flu." I asked slightly hurt that he still wasn't looking at me.
"I-" he stuttered glancing at my face. His chin started to wobble before he threw his arms around my neck, being careful to avoid my wound. "Quinn told us you went to doctors 'cause you were- you were hurt. I thought you were going to leave us. Please don't leave us mommy!" Joey cried making me tear up.
"I'm not going anywhere." I promised kissing the top of my twins heads.
"What do you mean I can't go in! That's MY daughter in there Jackson!"
I growled and slowly opened my eyes albeit reluctantly. My mother was shouting and yelling outside the door making me and my twins wake up from our much
needed nap.
"Mommy why is gramma yelling?" Joey whispered covering His face with the blanket. "She's being dramatic. Like always." I smiled before remembering something that put a serious damper to my mood. "Ariana are you okay?" I jumped in surprise to replace a groggy Caleb standing up from the arm chair.
He slept there ?
"Ariana?" he repeated making me blush.
"Can you tell Jackson that it's fine. I need to speak to my mother anyways."i asked still blushing like a school girl. He nodded and quickly stood shooting me a grin before rushing out the door. That was the first time I had acknowledged him. I wonder why he hadn't left yet.
I did say some pretty harsh things last night. Didn't he have to plan for his wedding? I frowned before turning to my now awake twins.
"I'm going to need you guys to step out with Papa Jackson for a little okay. I need to talk to grandma." They both nodded throwing the blankets off. They gave me a good morning kiss before jumping off the bed. Just as they were done pulling on their shoes my mother burst through the doors.
"Oh my sweet baby! How are you feeling! Do you need anything!" She shouted pulling out pillows, waters, nuts and a weird ball looking thing out of her purse. One thing about my mother was that she was always very protective of her girls. Just like my daddy. Or who I believed was my father for twenty-one years.
"Hi babies." She added kissing the twins as they made their way to Jackson. "Hİ gramma." Zoey squealed. "Bye gramma." Joey added pulling Jackson and an amused Caleb out of the door.
"Why'd they all leave?" My mother chuckled before throwing he purse onto the seat where Caleb had slept on.
"Mom, who's my father. My real father."
The look on her face screamed panic. Her heart beat picked up, and I could even see sweat pooling on her forehead.
Jackson was right.
"How could you hide something like this from me mother." I whispered glaring down at the white sheet that laid on my legs. I had to look away from her pleading deep brown eyes. My mother was a fragile woman and I knew if I took one glance into her eyes I would forgive her.
"He is your father Ariana!" She snapped making me look up at her in shock. Her eyes were glazed with unshed tears but the anger was clear. And that angered
me.
How could she be angry, when she lied to me !
"Stop lying to me!" I screamed clenching my fist together. I deeply breathed in trying to control my anger. I wouldn't want my wolf to lash out right now, not when my twins were outside. Not when my mother was standing a couple feet away from me.
"Do not yell at me Ariana Rosette Belle!" she growled before brushing her shirt off and sitting on Caleb's chair.
"Please just tell me the truth mom. Joey, he's maturing at an incredible speed and I need to know who my father is. I need to know his status in his pack to know if -
if my babies okay mom." I begged wiping away a stray tear that fell from my eye.
"Oh baby." she sighed coming to my side and pulling me into a hug. "I am so sorry." she cried after a couple of minutes.
"Just tell me." I whispered clutching onto her blouse that was stained with my tears. "Fine, but please just... just listen okay?" I quickly nodded and scouted over for her to sit down.
