Chapter 90:
Rhys analyzed the situation.
Hamilton was known for his efficiency and rarely slipped up, so Hamilton’s experience in chasing after a girl might actually help with his pursuit of Harlee.
“Good,” Rhys said, patting Hamilton on the shoulder.
“I need a PowerPoint presentation on how you courted your senior by the end of today.”
Rhys had heard that online dating advice was hit or miss, and he figured a firsthand account of a successful romance should be useful.
“What?” Hamilton gasped.
Rhys narrowed his eyes, prompting Hamilton to reply instantly, “I’ll take care of it.”
Rhys waved his hand dismissively.
“Proceed.”
Rhys recalled Nathaniel had encouraged him to follow his heart. Well, he was eager to see Harlee again.
At the Juarez family home, the scene was tense.
Evita Juarez, Liliana’s grandmother, and Elvin Juarez, Liliana’s father, had been away visiting relatives in the neighboring city and had missed the sight of Liliana’s swollen and bruised face, which the swelling had now gone.
As Evita and Elvin listened to the exaggerated stories from Valentina and Liliana, their anger grew.
Evita huffed, “How dare Harlee act so audaciously? A bumpkin like her actually struck our precious Liliana? Skyla should instill some manners into Harlee instead of just watching and even laughing! Our Juarez family is among the top ten in Baythorn.

Having married into the Sanderson family doesn’t mean Skyla can do as she pleases! Even in death, she remains a Juarez. This is outrageous.
Bring Skyla here, and I will set her straight myself!”
“And Skyla showed me no respect, even though I am her elder brother,” Elvin chimed in.
“Valentina and Liliana had visited her bearing gifts out of kindness, yet she had driven them out along with the gifts.”
Valentina and Liliana wept, as if deeply wronged.
Valentina pretended to convince Evita not to confront Skyla.
“Perhaps we shouldn’t confront Skyla. The Sanderson family’s business now outshines ours. What if…”
“What if what?” Evita slammed her hand on the table.
“I doubt any of the Sanderson family’s wealth is under Skyla’s name. Since she failed to discipline her daughter, I might as well teach her a lesson!”
“Mom, you’re right. Skyla is Liliana’s aunt, and if an aunt cannot protect her niece from a rude girl’s attack, won’t people mock us?” Elvin interjected.
“But,” Valentina began, but Evita interrupted her.
“Enough, I know you care for the Juarez family.
Even though you’ve been wronged, you don’t hold a grudge against Skyla.
However, I’m Skyla’s mother, and I have to discipline her.”
Valentina nodded reluctantly, but inwardly she was thrilled at the prospect of Skyla being dealt with.
