Chapter 91:
Liliana could hardly contain her smug expression.
Brixton had already vowed to aid her revenge.
All she needed to do was lure Harlee to the Galaxy Bar, where Harlee would soon be dealt with, her fate seemingly doomed to leave a tarnished name behind. Liliana couldn’t wait for the day when Harlee would be too ashamed to show her face in Baythorn again.
Unaware of the plots against them, Harlee and Skyla enjoyed their afternoon tea. Skyla suggested taking Harlee shopping, but Harlee politely declined. Liliana’s clumsy attempt to lure her to the Galaxy Bar was something she had to see through.
The Galaxy Bar stood as the most prestigious bar in Baythorn.
A single bottle of liquor here cost more than what an average worker earned in a month, and the exclusive rooms upstairs were reserved only for Baythorn’s elite.
Right now, the Galaxy Bar was dense with the smell of smoke and spirits, and the sound system blared music, with men and women dancing energetically.
As Harlee walked in, the rowdy ambiance nearly made her succumb to the desire to walk away. Yet, knowing Liliana had laid a trap here for her, Harlee was curious to see what Liliana could pull off.
Circling the dance floor, Harlee casually slung her coat over her shoulder, her eyes scanning the venue until they fixed on the secluded rooms above. She sneered, “Looks like she’s pulling out all the stops for revenge.”
Harlee had only taken a few steps forward when a lewd man approached her.
“Hey, girl, want a drink?” Harlee shot a fierce look at the mocking crowd surrounding her, her gaze sharp like a blade.

“Leave me alone.”
The nearby crowd felt a shiver and scattered, though some fools stayed behind.
“Sassy. My type,” the man said, chuckling.
Harlee took a lollipop from her pocket, unwrapping it deliberately in front of the man. Just as everyone expected her to enjoy it, she thrust it right into the man’s nostril.
“Ouch! You crazy woman, are you looking for trouble?” The man reached for a bottle nearby, ready to smash it over Harlee’s head.
But before the man could swing, Harlee had him pinned down, her eyes flicking toward the private rooms.
Her gaze connected with Liliana’s, who had been observing the entire scene.
Harlee’s smile was mischievous, her look a clear warning.
Any more antics like that, and she wouldn’t let it slide easily.
Liliana stomped her foot in frustration.
For all the grand schemes she had carefully crafted, she now had no choice but to arrange for someone to escort Harlee upstairs. While the crowd downstairs had failed to handle Harlee, she doubted that Brixton, a man of power and wealth, couldn’t ruin Harlee’s reputation.
Drama.
Harlee knew better than to fall for Liliana’s seemingly friendly invitation. Today’s gathering was designed to tarnish her reputation among Baythorn’s crème de la crème. Yet, Harlee was a bit surprised. Since her arrival, Liliana had played it cool, parading around as the perfect cousin, introducing Harlee to everyone in her elite circle.
Harlee couldn’t help but be impressed by how Liliana maintained her composure.
